Development of reading skills of pupils taught by analytic-syntetic and genetic method

Literacy as a knowledge of the written form of a language has nowadays an essential meaning for casual and successful function in the society. Nowadays, to be able to read and write is a must and mastering these abilities is considered as a matter of fact not as an extraordinary ability. The necessity of the functional literacy together with a demand on high level of the society intelligence lays considerable requirements on the child population. That results in a need for a higher effort to carry out measures which could lead to a reduction of number of children who are in danger of reading and writing malfunctions and reduction of bad readers. This dissertation is tied to my previous theses (2009 and 2010) in which I focused on finding the level of reading skills of pupils taught by analytic-synthetic method (hereafter as AS method) and genetic method (hereafter as G method) for the first time at the half of the first school year, for the second time at the end of the first school year and surveying differences in a progress of reading in a connection to the method of teaching. The internal control system in the contributory organization (a school facility)

The thesis is focused on the internal control system and its application in the contributory organization (a school facility). Currently, these organizations suppressed internal control system to the background despite the legal obligation of its introduction. The thesis is divided in a theoretical part, which is focused on the theory of the internal control system, and the reasons, why it is important to monitor the internal control system in educational institutions. In the practical part of the thesis the internal control system of the model contributory organization (school facility) will be evaluated and adjustments of the current state will be suggested. The main purpose of the thesis is to prove that the contributory organizations are not able to guarantee either the accuracy of internal control or its observance. The second purpose of the thesis is to prove that even controlling institutions do not follow or check internal control system as a complex problem.

Introduction to sophia-analysis

This thesis is an introduction to sophia-analysis and deals with the concepts and methods it offers the individual for the purpose of personal growth. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to defining the sophia-analytical psychotherapeutic school. It presents the conceptual references of sophia-analysis, its metapsychology and works through its theoretical underpinnings and specific anthropological concepts. It further describes the applied therapeutic forms as well as presents the organization and specifics of its training system. It concludes with a brief history of sophia- analysis and a short biography of its founder. The applied section of the thesis deals with the identification, classification and selection of the most distinctive psychotherapeutic processes found in 21 individual sessions of sophia-analytical therapy, using "psychotherapy process Q-test" methodology. The applied section also describes in detail the methodology used and the results of its application to sophia-analytical material. The applied methodology serves two purposes. Kindergartens as a public service

The thesis is focused on providing pre-kindergarten education as a public service. The theoretical part deals with the characteristics of the parent school as educational institutions, legislative pre-school education and the role of the state as a public service provider of preschool education, the means of financing and providing services based on the founder's position of pre-school, the family as a partner in the educational impact. The practical part is based on research in two kindergartens. The portion of research findings confirmed that the parents understand the provision of preschool education in kindergartens as a public service, and consider state funding of preschool education for granted. The survey showed that what is provided the extra by kindergarten, parents understand the guaranteed services, without realizing that these services at kindergarten are beyond the educational work in kindergartens. Nursery school wants to draw attention to themselves, to get more students in the competition. According to the Framework Educational Programme for the provision of preschool education school activities is not a public service.

Communication in preschool children

Preschool education was declared as a start and therefore a foundation for the process of lifelong education. This period is considered to be the one of the most important in terms of acquiring communicative competence. A child should be at such a level that he/she should be able to express him/herself fluently, listen in on. establish relations with his/her contemporaries as well as adults. Not only family but also kindergarten and nursery, whose main aim is to prepare children for entrance to primary school, play big part in developing of these abilities. The main theme in this dissertation (diploma paper) is the analyse of preschool children's communicative competence regarding the endogenous and exogenous factors. Teoretical part of this work is focusing on key words, problems of communications and pedagogical communications, questions of psychological development of personality and development of communication skills of preschool children. The influence of the school climate on the quality of integration of a handicapped pupil

AND KEYWORDS This diploma thesis deals with the impact of school climate that has a strong effect on the success in integration of handicapped pupil into the mainstream school. In this respect main terms which are related to "school climate" and "integration" are defined. Work more specifically focuses on individual types of handicaps, analyses principles of various handicaps and specific educational requirements needed for social relations. It furthers deals with the subjectivity of success in integration. Presented diploma thesis further concentrates on the social status of the handicapped pupil among his schoolmates, his social interactions and the role of the teacher as the main factor in the problem of integration. Empirical survey is oriented in a narrative way; the key method used is narrative dialogue, as it is able to recognise autobiographical experience of respondents. Decision Making of Nurses in Intensive Care

The aim of this thesis was to find which factors prevail to influence the decisions that nurses make in intensive care and on what basis they decide. The work is divided into theoretical and empirical part. In the theoretical part the terms such as decision, decision-making situations, mistakes in decision-making have been determined, and the issues concerning the decisions in nursing and in the competences of nurses connected with decisions have been analysed. In the empirical part the results of questionary regarding the decisions of nurses in intensive care have been processed and analysed. 97 subjects among the nurses in intensive care have taken part in the testing. From the analysis of the data received from the questionary there comes out that the majority of nurses in intensive care (74 %) are not convinced that the school has prepared them for making decisions from both the theoretical and practical point of view. On contrary, the majority of nurses in intensive care are convinced that their education (79 %) and practice (97 %) may enable decisions. The majority of nurses in intensive care (96 %) are able to make independent decisions mostly in the area of basic nursing care. Development of forestation and landscape recultivation in Krusne Hory with usage of knowledgement project for secondary schools

The submited dissertation talks about development of forestation and landscape recultivation in Krusne Hory, followed by questionaire, which is investigating the problems of studied region. This questionaire is intended for students from secondary and intermediate schools and is targeted not only for general knowledge about the Krusne hory mountains, but also for its wooden structure and development of forestation. Students should be able to define term of recultivation, orientate themselves in recultivation types and phases as well as have overview of already recultivated landscapes in their surrounding. On behalf of results from above questionaire I created the educational CD, which is also the part of my dissertation. This instruction CD includes all the problems from studied area and can serve as a seminar utility in biology lessons or environment training in biological seminar. The last part of my dissertation is an educational project called "Surrounding of my landscape." This project is determind for students from secondary and intermediate schools.

The economic education in the 50s of the 20th century

The diploma thesis focuses on the topic of the economic education in the 50s of the 20th century. The issue is analyzed on the example of the University of Economics in Prague. The establishment of the University of Economics became an important milestone for the economic education in Czechoslovakia. The University of Economics was established in 1953 on the basis of the governmental regulation from 19th August 1952 No. 40/1952 Coll. regarding another changes in the organization of universities. It was stated that the studies would be for four years and the students would be able to choose from five faculties. This school was set up after the previous difficult development on the ground of the universities. The establishment of the University of Economics forewent cancelation, renaming and the establishment of different universities. These universities also concentrated on schooling in the area of economics. The legacy of the University of Economics can be seen in the continuity to the venerable University of Commerce, which belonged among the successful universities in our state. Furthermore, it undoubtedly helped to develop the origins of economics as a branch of science. The schooling on the universities in the 50s was influenced by Marxist-Leninist ideology, which was perceived as general truth at the time. The aim of the thesis is to clarify whether the University of Economics contributed to the development of the economic education in the 50s. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on the analysis of the applied methodology. The applied methodology is a collection of knowledge - a social history. Moreover, there are discussed institutions and legislations foregoing the establishment of the University of Economics. In the practical part of the thesis is described the state of economics as a science in the 50s in Czechoslovakia and the importance of Marxism-Leninism and political economics for economy. In addition, there is outlined the development of economics as science during a certain period of time.

Issues of Gifted Education in the Teacher Training for Primary School

The thesis deals with issues related to implementation of the topic of gifted education into teacher training for primary schools. In the theoretical part of this thesis are prepared on the basis of scientific literature the most important findings concerning the theory and the concept of talent. Main attention is paid to personality of gifted child in preschool and primary school age, their identification, specific forms of behavior and potential problems. Following are summarized basic organizational forms, strategies and models of gifted education. Given the current trend of integration of pupils with special educational needs, the thesis focus on education of gifted students in regular classrooms. In the next section are described the specifics of development and state of the system of care for gifted pupils in the Czech Republic. The final chapter is devoted to issues of personality and teacher education. The aim of the research part of this thesis is in the action research based on the planning, re-implementation and evaluation of actual teaching to create unique design of course focused on issues of highly able pupils as part of teacher training for primary schools at the Faculty of Education, Charles University.
