Health care and health life style in teaching in (not only) biology

Background: This thesis deals with the issue of healthy lifestyle in the area of the Czech education system, especially from the point of view of anchoring the educational subject "Health Education " within the educational program. The research part was realized through a questionnaire survey at four selected Prague primary schools and four eight-year grammar schools. The research group was consisted of 140 elementary school pupils and 136 pupils of eight-year grammar schools. After the evaluation of the questionnaire survey, a structured interview with one teacher on each of the schools was conducted and this information mapped their opinions to the subject of Health Education. Objectives: The aim of the work was to map pupils' awareness of the areas from the subject "Health Education ", and where the pupils gained this knowledge. Then compare the acquired information within two types of schools (elementary schools and eight-year grammar schools). The work also compares the obtained information with the opinions of the teachers who teach the subject at selected schools. Statistical Literacy of Students of Teaching Biology in the Czech Republic

Especially in connection with the results of the PISA research, the literacy in the natural science field has been lately becoming the topic of scientific discussion. It had become apparent that Czech students attain lower levels of procedural knowledge and face difficulties in evaluation and planning of natural scientific research, when compared to student of other countries. In order to be able to make use of the synergy effect between the natural science literacy and statistical literacy, it is crucial for the students themselves to be literate in statistics. The presented doctoral dissertation focuses on the importance and the matter of statistical literacy among natural science and biology students of pedagogy. The goal of this dissertation is to describe the current state of statistical literacy among students of pedagogy in natural science field. Traffic education in the context of physical education lessons

The theoretical part aims to clarify the concept of Traffic Education and informs the readers of its importance and goals. Moreover, it deals with the capacity of Traffic Education in terms of the Czech educational system. At the same, it mentions the pedagogical projects, traffic playgrounds and also the physical education, which has an effect on road users. The aim of the practical part is to find out, using the questionnaires, how much the schools pay attention to Traffic Education and whether the principles of traffic education are involved in P.E. classes. General Educational Program and Music School

The purpose of this diploma thesis is to find out, whether selected elementary art schools, operating under the same conditions in the same district, have chosen the same ways of creating and implementing SEP (School Educational Programme). The creation of SEP could be conceived either innovatively or by expansion of existing curriculum. The thesis also deals with the question, whether schools included in the research continuously work on their SEP and, simultaneously, whether they are able to edit and improve it according to the feedback and experience obtained in practice. The last area of research is an issue of teaching according to SEP. The thesis investigates its pros and cons from the point of view of each included school.
Possibilities of seminars of creative writing on the high school

The diploma thesis Possibilities of seminars of creative writing in high school seeks to describe and theoretically explicate the implementation of creative writing into high school education. The thesis is divided into two parts - a theoretical and a practical one. The theoretical part focuses on the author's conception of creative writing, on the possibilities and components of creative writing understood as both a teaching method and a subject. The section also deals with the interconnection of teaching of creative writing and the Framework Educational Programme. In particular, it discusses the relation of the subject to key competencies and cross-curricular subject. The main goal of the theoretical part is to propose a creative writing thematic plan for high school. In the practical part, concrete activities and preparations for teaching of creative writing are presented. Furthermore, the part includes description of the course of some lessons and also reflection of lessons that have already been given from the teacher's and students' perspective. Continuity of Education in Kindergartens and Primary Schools in Central Bohemia Region

This master thesis focuses on the topical theme which is currently gaining momentum, i.e. continuity or connection of the educational process in kindergartens and primary schools. The purpose of this work is to highlight the necessity of cooperation among kindergartens and primary schools in the following educational process, outline the possibilities, limits and pitfalls of this collaboration together with the role of school management. The aim of the master thesis is to determine on the basis of expert sources and empirical investigation how and whether currently proceeds such a cooperation within the continuity of education in kindergartens and primary schools. This work also proposes on the basis of the findings of facts measures and other procedures that could contribute to the positive development of cooperation among kindergartens and primary schools following training.
Teaching of solo singing in primary schools of art

The diploma thesis focuses on teaching of solo singing at primary art schools according to the Framework Educational Programme. The aim of the work is to prove the need to synthesize professional and practical point of view on this field of study and provide a clear comprehensive material for future teachers of singing. Stating the records of attended lessons of singing and of my own taught lessons we show that the linking of the two views is for singing teaching practice experience required. The theoretical basis of the work are chapters that deal with interpretation of professional sub-folders singing with the methodological notes with respect to the expected outcomes from the Framework Educational Programme. In annex we present musical material that is the subject of training repertoire recorded singing lessons. The thesis contains a written record of the interview with the teacher of solo singing MgA. Conception of Sex Education at 2nd Grade of Primary School

The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with historical transformations of sexuality in terms of philosophy. It also focuses on the biological, psychological and social conditions affecting the educational process. It includes a description of the historical development and current concepts of sex education enshrined in the Framework Educational Programme for Basic Education. This is followed by the methodology of sex education. The practical part deals with qualitative research, consisting of interviews with teachers of specific primary schools. Creation of educational programs and editing possibilities

The Bachelor degree dissertion consists of the creation and possible changes in primary school educational programmes. Based on the knowledge of the conclusions of the thematic reports of the Czech School Inspectorate and the questionnaire survey mapping out the changes in school educational programmes and draws attention to their most frequent shortcomings. The research part of the dissertation focuses on the findings of the most frequently changed area of school educational programmes further to internal and external assessment. The frequency of the changes is subsequently compared with the assessment of compliance of school educational programmes with the Framework Education Programme for primary education of the Czech School Inspectorate. Further to the current situation a section is also included in the dissertation applying to the proposed amendment of the School Act applying to changes in the creation of framework educational and school educational programmes. The dissertation concludes with a draft concise manual for primary school headmasters containing recommendations for creating and changing school education programmes based on the experience of school headmasters and the assessments of the Czech School Inspectorate.
