Integrated education of children from socially disadvantaged families

This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of integrated education of children from socially disadvantaged families on the preschool level. This topic is currently very relevant due to recent changes in legislation and the increasing trend of inclusion of children with some type of learning disadvantage to the mainstream education. The topic of integration of socially disadvantaged children has a potential to be explored from the point of view of preschool facilities, which are participators in the issue. The main goal of this research is to identify how integration of socially disadvantaged children works in practice. This research also found out which specific methods kindergartens apply, how much does the process follow legislation and also how its employees evaluate the effectiveness of integration. The thesis also provided an overview of the tools used in integrated education through the theory of public policy instruments. The findings of this bachelor thesis came primarily from a case study of kindergarten Mozaika, which is located in Jihlava. The research goals were fulfilled thanks to experience of interviewed teachers. Findings from interviews were supplemented by data obtained from a research of literature, legislation and statistical data.

In today's mainstream school, which focuses on a common education, the teaching assistant is an indispensable element in the teaching of pupils with special educational needs. This diploma thesis deals with the opinions of primary school principals on the position of teaching assistant at regular primary schools. The theoretical part of the thesis defines common education, which is related to the need for a teaching assistant, further defines the legislative anchoring of this profession, its personal and qualification prerequisites, its scope of work or risks associated with this profession. The last chapter of the theoretical part of the diploma thesis deals with the cooperation of the teaching assistant with individual subjects in the school and outside it. The research part of the work, based on mixed research and using data collection methods "questionnaire survey" and "semi-structured interview" addresses the issue of the role of teaching assistants in mainstream primary schools. Strategies of educational support for students with Italian as their mother tongue

This bachelor thesis examines support strategies in the education of pupils with Italian as their mother tongue. It deals with methods for successful, integration, factors influencing the mastery of the curriculum and cooperating between teachers and parents. The research method was chosen as a qualitative method, carried out in the form of an online "semi-structured" interview with six Czech teachers and special pedagogues working in Italian- Czech classes at the elementary school J. G. Jarkovského, Truhlářská 22. It was found that for the successful education of pupils with Italian as their mother tongue, the key is the readiness and cooperation of the whole pedagogical team, support of teachers from school management, functional cooperation with school counseling facilities and the possibility of using a teaching assistant. Successful integration mainly affects the pupil's personality, the classroom and the family. The teacher should establish a positive relationship with the pupil and with the pupil's family, prepare the class for the arrival of a new classmate, and provide the pupil with a guide and a mentor from among the pupils.
Inclusive education from the teacher's assistant point of view from the specific elementary school

the diploma thesis Dominika Kny The diploma thesis characterizes the education of pupils at a common elementary school with an emphasis on the joint education. Inclusion is in legislation and presented with regard to the historical development and approach to the education of people with disabilities. The current inclusive education is also characterized by the support measures provided, of which the teaching assistant appears to be the key support. The condition for this profession is a certain education, at the same time it carries with it certain duties and obligations. Related to this is the possibility of further development of acquired knowledge usable in the field. Personality qualification is an integral part of the entitlement to perform this job. The content of the work is presented with regard to the specifics of the included pupil, it differs according to the needs of particular individual. Qualitative research based on observations and interviews with a pre-prepared scheme of open- ended questions aims to find out the view od teaching assistents on inclusive education at a elementary school in Prague. Inclusion of pupil with cystic fibrosis in physical education

Title: Inclusion of a pupil with cystic fibrosis in physical education Objectives: The aim of this thesis was to point out through case studies the possibilities of inclusion of a pupil with cystic fibrosis in physical education and to investigate the influence of physical applied activities on pupil's physical abilities. Part of the research was also working with a girl in physical education classes. Methods: Due to the uniqueness of the disease, was chosen for this thesis the method of a case study of schoolgirl aged 12 with CF. Methods of data collection included interviews with pupil's mother, teacher and teaching assistant, questionnaires, observations and MABC-2 test set. Results: We found out, that the inclusion of a pupil with CF is possible, but it is necessary to have prepared alternative methods and modification of physical activities in order not to damage the health of the individual. The individual approach to the student in class also proved to be effective. The research shows that physical activities as a part of physical education have a positive effect on some motor skills of a pupil with CF.
