Employment of people with hearing disabilities in the Karlovy Vary region

This bachelor's thesis deals the employment of people with hearing impairment in the Karlovy Vary region. The aim of thesis is to map and provide insight into the employment opportunities for people with hearing impairments in the territory of the selected region, as well as the support options that people with hearing impairments can use from the point of view of state and non- profit institutions. In the first chapters of the theoretical part, the classification of people with hearing impairment, methods of communication, barriers and preparation for the profession of people with hearing impairment is briefly described. Subsequently, attention is paid to the issue of employment, the importance and possibilities of employment of person with hearing impairment in the Czech Republic. Then the characteristics of the institutions that deal with the issue of employment of people with hearing impairment are specified. Specifically, it is the employment office, the public welfare society Tichý svět (The Silent World) and non-profit organization Czech Union of the Deaf. Leisure time physical activities for auditory hancicapped pupils in Prague

The bachelor thesis focuses on the identification of the attitudes of second grade pupils of primary schools for the hearing impaired in Prague towards extracurricular sports activities. The theoretical part is an introduction to the issue of sports with hearing impairment. It describes a person with hearing impairment in terms of his specific life situation and focuses on his communication, personality and compensatory aids. Furthermore, the theoretical part deals with the issues of older school age, education of pupils in schools for the hearing impaired in Prague and sports activities of people with hearing impairment. The theoretical part focuses on sports with hearing impairment from the historical and current point of view and also offers an insight into professional sports. In the practical part, the attitudes of pupils towards extracurricular sports are investigated using an attitude scale. Furthermore, the practical part identifies the circumstances leading to the choice of sport and the influence of communication barriers on the extracurricular sports activities of these pupils. The specifics of the education of pupils with a different mother tongue at the second level of primary school

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to define the possibilities of education and support for pupils with a different mother tongue (DMT). The theoretical part of the thesis was prepared using available Czech and foreign professional literature. The first chapter includes the background of inclusive education, the definition of the legislative framework of support for pupils with DMT in education and placing the issue of pupils with DMT in the context of the Czech education system. The second chapter describes the specifics of pupils with DMT and the possibilities of supporting them in education. The empirical part of the thesis focuses on the specifics of education of pupils with DMT at the second level of primary school. In order to achieve the stated goal, qualitative research was conducted in a selected smaller primary school in Central Bohemia. As the research methods are used semi-structured interviews with a pupil with DMT, with his class teacher and with a teaching assistant of a pupil with DMT, as well as a questionnaire survey among second-grade teachers at the same primary school. Based on the data obtained from the research investigation, general recommendations for the education of pupils with DMT were suggested at the end of the paper.
Education of pupils with autistic spectrum disorders at a special elementary school - didactical and methodological aspects

1 ABSTRACT The Master's thesis deals with didactic and methodical aspects of teaching pupils with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) at a special primary school. It aims to describe what didactic means and methods are used in the education of these pupils with special educational needs in a given type of school. In the theoretical part of the thesis, autism spectrum disorders are defined in the context of current state of knowledge, their characteristic symptoms, used intervention approaches and legislative definition with the specifics of education of pupils with ASD at a special primary school. In connection with this, didactic and methodical aspects of the teaching process, didactic principles and teaching methods are described. Furthermore the used organizational forms and the position of didactic means in education are specified. Use of didactic aids for pupils with special educational needs in the Secondary Practical School

The diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of the need for a set of didactic aids for pupils with different special educational needs, the creation and verification of a set of didactic aids for pupils in the field of 2-year Practical School, which can be used in the teaching of the subjects Sewing and Working with materials. Due to the lack of suitable aids in the field of sewing and working with materials for secondary school pupils with a wide range of disabilities and disadvantages, it seemed like an appropriate solution to invent and create tailor-made aids based on theoretical analysis of the issues of education of pupils with SEN, mostly with mild and moderate mental retardation, autism spectrum disorders and combined disabilities or with impaired communication skills. In the practical part, the method of observation, interview and action research was used to verify didactic materials in specific teaching situations with pupils of the 2-year Practical School at Secondary Vocational School in Liberec. Difficulties in educating Ukrainian pupils in elementary school in the Czech republic

The diploma thesis, which is presented here, is called Obstacles in the Education of Ukrainian Pupils in the 1st level in the Czech Elementary Schools. This work has a special pedagogical character as students with a different mother tongue fall into the category of students with special educational needs. The thesis generally aims to analyze and define the current possibilities of education of Ukrainian refugee pupils as pupils with a different mother tongue in the 1st grade of primary school from the point of view of pedagogues of the given two regions - Prague region and the Moravian-Silesian region, including the Ukrainian pupil and his/her legal representative. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the legislative framework of migration and the possibilities of education for pupils with a different mother tongue, including Ukrainian pupils. Family of child with Kabuki synrome

The thesis deals with the family of a child with Kabuki syndrome. In the Czech Republic, the diagnosis was established in 2010. The main objective of the thesis was to compile comprehensive information about the family of a child with Kabuki syndrome and to determine more detailed information about the functioning of this family in the areas of upbringing, experiences with the school system, and also the utilization of support by the family. The thesis is divided into theoretical and empirical parts. The theoretical part is divided into four chapters. The first chapter discusses the definition of Kabuki syndrome, the history of research on this rare condition, diagnosis, and characteristic features in individuals with Kabuki syndrome. The second chapter focuses in more detail on the clinical symptoms of Kabuki syndrome, from health issues and treatment options to levels of cognitive function. The third chapter specifies on families of children with rare diseases, and the following chapter discusses the possibilities of support for families of children with Kabuki syndrome. Special education interventions aimed at pupils with specific learning disabilities in primary schools Jablonec region

The diploma thesis examines how special education interventions are conducted for pupils with specific learning disabilities in primary schools in the Jablonec nad Nisou district. It consists of theoretical and empirical parts. The theoretical part presents, in its four chapters, counseling services in education, especially school counseling centers and school counseling workplaces. It also discusses the position of the school special education teacher, his/her qualification standards and the professional activities he/she performs. This is followed by a section on specific learning disabilities and the last theoretical chapter focuses on the teaching of the subject of special educational care to pupils with specific learning disabilities. The empirical part used qualitative research methods, case study design. The research involved eight school special education teachers working in primary schools in the district. It was conducted through interviews, supplemented by observations and analysis of school documents. The thesis is about a family of a child with Kabuki syndrome. The first chapter deals with the syndrome itself, diagnosis, clinical symptoms and cognitive functions. The second chapter describes the family with the rare condition, the family in the context of the history and what stages the family of the child with the rare condition goes through. The next chapter discusses support for the family with a rare disease, and also includes the concept of a non-profit organization and an association.
