Hořejší, Šárka ; Veteška, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Kříž, Jaroslav (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the issue of education of people serving a prison term. Education represents the key tool of resocialization, i.e. a specialist work with convicts. The first part of the thesis is going to devote attention to resocialization and to the subsequent education of convicts in terms of prevention as well as in terms of the atonement by means of the integrative tools. Within the scope of the execution of the prison sentence, education is an essential part of the treatment programs, which are oriented to create the preconditions for an independent way of life. The theoretical part is also going to focus on the legislative embedding of education of convicts in the Czech Republic and the best practice from abroad. In the descriptive-analytical part, the focus is going to be laid on two particular institutions (the improsenment facility Světlá nad Sázavou, the improsenment facility Všehrdy) and their comparison. The aim of the work is to investigate the specifics of the choice of the formal education, mostly provided by school educational centres, and non-formal education provided directly by employees of the individual institutions. It describes their connection with the motivation of convicts for further education. KEYWORDS imprisonment, resocialization of convicts, factors of...

Further professional education and development of managers in construction
Vildner, Roman ; Veteška, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Kříž, Jaroslav (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the issue of further professional education and development of managers in the field of construction. Based on the analysis of the specifics of managerial work in this sector, an educational (development) program reflecting foreign trends will be designed. The key professional competencies of managers with an emphasis on controlling in construction (costs, planning, reporting, financial management, strategy, risk management and change management) and resource management will be modeled. The task of managers is to identify such resources, incl. talented workers. Art is then able to use these precious resources, which are difficult to imitate and substitute, effectively. The resource-based approach emphasizes, like human capital theory, that investing in people increases an individual's value to the organization. This is related to the assumption that a company achieves lasting prosperity and competitive advantage when it has top specialists who cannot be easily acquired or replaced by competitors. High school graduates can also be counted among the potential sources. Working with them is currently necessary, as it is one of the options for recruiting new workers, which is in short supply on the labor market. The whole research design was built to reflect the two levels...
Androdidactic specifics of motor vehicle drivers' education
Marek, Prokop ; Veteška, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Kříž, Jaroslav (referee)
For many years, the field of drivers' education has been the domain of secondary school teachers. As in other fields, individuals are beginning to appear, who want to go further with their education and development here - for example by studying pedagogy or andragogy at universities, with the aim to achieve higher professionalism, efficiency and empathy in their educational activities. They want to further cultivate their personality and increase the level of their teaching work. The personality of the lecturer is in many respects a role model for the listeners. He can be as good as a bad example. Only in few areas of human life, people face such dangers as road users. It is therefore appropriate to deal with the quality and competence of lecturers providing the interpretation of the provisions of Act No. 361/2000 Coll., On Roads Traffic (the Road Traffic Act) and related regulations, including communication about their own experiences and recommendations, or appropriate interpretation of other road traffic' participants. Quality training of the lecturer and the ability to reproduce the necessary facts and experiences to the students of professional driver training courses is an important factor in reducing traffic accidents and all their consequences. The following text aims to use the knowledge of...
Systemic approaches to employee evaluation and rewarding
Větrovec, Vladislav ; Veteška, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Kříž, Jaroslav (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the issue of evaluation and remuneration of employees based on new methods and approaches. Appraisal is usually only related to "job evaluation", i.e. the evaluation and management of job performance itself. However, we rarely find a systematic evaluation of its process, conditions and results in the context of strategic management of the company and the model of remuneration and evaluation. Reward in the company should be supported by a reward philosophy based on a strategic reward model. This leads to ensuring fair, transparent and effective remuneration of employees, particularly in accordance with labour legislation and in relation to the economic performance of the organisation. The remuneration philosophy expresses the organisation's beliefs about how people should be rewarded in order to ensure that remuneration is implemented for the benefit of both the organisation and its members. In corporate practice, this leads to the need for a clearly established and defined system of rewarding employees in relation to the principles of objective evaluation. The output of the thesis will be a critical evaluation of selected models of evaluation and rewarding employees in the organization based on the principles of strategic management in relation to the analysis of work...

This part describes the research carried out, which was designed as a mixed-method research, i.e. using qualitative and quantitative approaches. The research investigation was carried out in several stages. One of the phases was the analysis of foreign research studies focused on work performance and employee...

Summary: Impact of Chlamydia trachomatis infection on chronic pelvic pain. The aim of the study was to determine whether women with chronic pelvic pain and Chlamydia infection differ from women with chronic pelvic pain without Chlamydia infection in respect of findings on laparoscopy and sexual behaviour. In a study conducted from April 2006 to December 2009, we monitored a group of 129 female patients suffering from chronic pelvic pain of more than 6 months duration. All monitored patients underwent laparoscopy, and during the procedure, swabs were taken from their Fallopian tubes and cervix, which were immunofluorescensed for the presence of Chlamydia trachomatis antigen. The patients were divided into two groups (Chlamydia positive and Chlamydia negative) according to the presence of Chlamydia antigen. The patients completed questionnaires covering the age at first sexual intercourse, number of lifetime and current sexual partners, frequency of sexual intercourse and the method of contraception. The differences in findings on laparoscopy and questionnaire results of women with positive and negative proof of Chlamydia infection were studied. Fisher's exact test was used for data description and group differences analysis. We observed that 30,2% (n=39) of a cohort of 129 women with chronic pelvic pain were...
