Digitization and new methods of training workers

The diploma thesis deals with the issues and possibilities of further professional education at the workplace in the context of digitization. This brings new possibilities for the development of workers and modern tools for further education, which has been affected by social and economic changes in the last few years - especially the covid-19 pandemic. Continuing education and workforce development at this time naturally enabled the transition to an online environment and are currently a key technology for workforce education and development. Companies are currently mainly using hybrid tools that combine face-to-face and online elements of education and learning. It also works to develop employees' digital and specific professional competencies. On the basis of these theoretical starting points, which are elaborated in the theoretical part of the work, research was conducted with a focus on the identification and analysis of educational methods at the workplaces of the selected company. Adult age categories are based on developmental periods and are classified by age: young adulthood (20-29 years), middle adulthood (30-44 years), and late adulthood (45-60 years). The theoretical part discusses further education, which is part of lifelong learning. It also builds on the psychology of adult learning, within which insights into individual developmental periods of adulthood are presented, and existing knowledge of motivation and barriers in adult education is also explored. In my bachelor thesis deals with defining the relationship between the emerging concept of adult education at EU level and the expression of support in the national curriculum of the Czech Republic, response documents and putting into practice on a national scale. The fundamental point I think the concept of the Lisbon process and its implementation at European level. The priority thesis will evaluate the progress of the Czech Republic in accordance with the educational policy of the European Union, mutual compatibility and complementarity of the two concepts of education.

The diploma thesis deals with the motivation and barriers in education of adult students at a college. The issue of motivation and barriers of selected economically active students in higher education is discussed. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and an empirical part. The theoretical part describes the basic concepts related to the topic of the diploma thesis - motivation, motivation to learn, lifelong learning, adult education, higher education, barriers in education and more. The aim of the thesis is to find out and describe what motivated and continues to motivate selected economically active adults to study at a college, to identify the barriers they feel in this education and to find out how they deal with these barriers. The thesis identifies, analyzes and describes the motivation and barriers of selected adult students in education at a selected college. As part of the empirical part of the thesis, based on its aim, research questions are set, to which answers are subsequently sought through investigation. Competencies of an ideal language teacher based on the subjective opinions of teachers and language learners

This thesis deals with the current issue of strengthening and creating a competency model for private language teachers. At the present time, it is a very frequently discussed topic in the teacher community, especially given that the requirements for the profession are not specifically defined. Therefore, foreign language teachers often shape their own perception of necessary qualifications of a private language teacher. The aim of this thesis is to develop a competency model of an ideal language teacher based on the subjective opinions of the teachers themselves and language learners and to raise awareness of the requirements for the profession. The theoretical part first describes the position of language education in the context of lifelong learning, then it deals with the issue of competencies with a focus on the language teacher and last but not least it revolves around the language learner. A section is also devoted to the current state of knowledge and the results of research studies on the competencies of language teachers both in Czech and foreign context. Idea of Self-Directed Learning from the Andragogical View

Diploma thesis focuses on the idea of self-directed learning from the perspective of andragogy. The main goal of this work is to characterize and describe self-directed learning among students at a selected pedagogical fakulty. The sececondary goal is to compare the process of self-directed learning from the perspective of students in the full-time and combined forms of study at the selected pedagogical fakulty. The work is divided into theoretical and empirical parts. The theorical part initially deals with the importance of lifelong learning and education, followed by an andragogical backgroud, whitch summarizes the basic andragogical concepts, the historical aspect of andragogy and didactics of adult education. An important subchapter of the teoretical part is Knowles' theory of adult education. The last and key chapter of the theoretical part deals with the historical and philosophical aspect of self- directed learning, defines the concept of self-directed learning, and outlines its challenges. Additionally, various models of self-directed learning and factors determining self-directed learning are presented. Anotation This thesis analyses the process of learning of an adult person with disabilities. It focuses on the value of education as perceived by the society, and on the meaning of education for the life of an individual. The thesis presents the main paradigms in the field of adult education, especially education of persons with disabilities. The paradigms are based on requirements of life-long learning programs and of other scientific disciplines, dealing with education and guidance of adults. The thesis also gives the general characteristics of adult education as such and describes the main specifics of persons with disabilities. The professional development of teachers, which also includes the teacher's further education, is one of the main strategic objectives of the contemporary school system. This work examines which types and forms of further education are most frequently chosen. The work also investigates the processes of this kind of education at different types of schools - kindergarten, primary and secondary schools. The theoretical part of the work gradually focuses on the history and explanation of the basic terms and objectives of further education. In the following chapters the work concentrates on the legal background, the kinds and the forms of further education. The empirical part of the work makes statements on the basis of the research objectives. The text content analysis (of kindergarten annual reports and other records) is used in order to verify the statements. The research sample was randomly chosen from the representatives of kindergarten, primary and secondary schools. On the basis of the above mentioned research it is stated that the heads of primary and secondary schools act accordingly to the school regulations: which means that the evaluation of teacher training and further education is included in the annual reports of the schools.
