The Motivation of Adults to the Higher Education in the Master Study Programme Educational Management at the Faculty of Education at Charles University

This diploma thesis deals with the motivation of adults to the higher education in the master's degree program Educational Management at the faculty of education at Charles University. The first part of the work is focused on a clear summary of basic knowledge about adult education and motivation. This part introduces concepts such as lifelong learning, adult education in the Czech Republic and at Czech universities, the master's program Management of Education, types and basic theories of motivation and motivation of adults to learn. The second part of the thesis contains a description of the methodology and the results of the survey. The survey is based on semi-structured interviews with students studying in the master's degree program Educational Management at the faculty of education at Charles University. The interviews focus on what motivated adults to study in the master's degree program, why they chose the Education Management program, what is their current motivation to learn, what benefits of studying they perceive, what barriers they perceive during their studies and what plans they have after graduation. The diploma thesis entitled The Strategy of Human Resource Management in Kindergartens and Primary Schools has the main goal of comparing the differences in the strategic management of human resources in kindergartens and primary schools. The thesis defines human resources management as a modern form of personnel work, emphasizes the importance of strategic management and analyzes standard forms and methods of human resources management. It deals with the strategic management of human resources in education and in this context shows the specifics of human resource management in kindergartens and primary schools. It also defines human resource management in education, what are the prerequisites for successful management and strategy development. Two research methods were selected for empirical research: questioning and semi-structured interviews. Conflicts at work and ways how to solve them

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of workplace conflicts. The goal of this work is to compare theory and practice to identify most frequent causes of interpersonal conflicts in school-type institutions, types of conflicts appearing in such institutions and what steps are taken to deal with such conflicts. Core of the work is dedicated to analysis of current situation in two schools of different size. The goal is also to analyze current situation in two different schools dealing with conflict issues. The schools involved differ mainly in their respective size. Initial part of the work will focus on theoretical knowledge of conflicts. The issue will be described from several viewpoints. Author of the work is interested in communication per se, and further deals with conflict formation, types, causes, effects, and solutions. Second line of the theoretical part is dealing with conflicts appearing in workspaces and ways to resolve them in particular. The work includes various recommendations to resolve conflicts. The diploma thesis is focused on the planning of personal development of employees in the context of the process of performance management in the organization. Attention is paid to the role and function of personal development planning in achieving the set goals in the process of performance management. The theoretical part defines concepts of performance management, education and development and personal development planning and describes theories of these concepts. The analytical part, based on a study of internal documents and interviews with managers, describes how the work performance of employees in Czech-Moravian Guarantee and Development Bank is managed. The result of this research was identification of weaknesses in the application of the concept of work performance management in the organization. Finally, recommendations are proposed in order to streamline the mentioned processes in the organization. Motivation and barriers in further adult education in doctoral degree

The aim of the thesis is to find out, what was the initial motive for the study of the doctoral program and what are the types of motivations and barriers in further education of adults in doctoral studies. The theoretical part is based on the concept of lifelong learning and lifelong learning. It defines the concept of further education of adults, which needs to be defined to anchor the topic in the work. It focuses on doctoral studies, phases during doctoral studies, related strategic documents, legislation and available research surveys, that focus on motivation and barriers. Another important part of the work is to define the motive, motivation, types of motivation in relation to the adult, which is part of further adult education. Barriers are viewed in terms of available research. The practical part is based on a quantitative and descriptive study examining motivations and barriers across the disciplines to pursue a doctoral degree, which was carried out in the form of a questionnaire survey. Adaptation of employees is a process intended for all newly íncoming employees in the organization, for their better orientation in the work environment, inclusion in the work team and rapid integration, acquisition of knowledge and skills for the position. The thesis is focused on improving the adaptation process of employees in a particular organization. The adaptation process of specific departments of a particular organization is analyzed and compared. Based on the acquired knowledge, a recommendation for improvement is proposed and improving the adaptation process. The theoretical part defines the basic terminology of the theoretical basis, which is based on the study of professional literature. The diploma thesis deals with the management styles of directors of educational institutions in the Czech Republic. Its aim is to analyze the influence of the school principal's management style on the teaching staff in a connection with the management of work performance and the development of pedagogical staff. The first part of the thesis deals with and describes the theoretical background. It defines the basic concepts of general management, people management and specifies all for the school environment. It presents knowledge about leadership styles, about work performance, which is specified for work performance management in non-profit organizations. Another presented aspect of the leader's work is the professional development of employees, which in the field of education is represented by the school principal through a compulsory further education of pedagogical staff - in service. Analysis of the management system of continuing professional education in health care

The aim of this thesis is to analyze the system of further professional education management monitoring the process of adaptation of employees - nurses from Ukraine in Thomayer Hospital. Thomayer Hospital is directly run by the Ministry of Health and is a state health facility. There is a great deal of emphasis on employee education, so there is a trend to have education centers in hospitals that serve to prepare graduates or other employees for a successful career in their chosen field. It is possible to deepen the knowledge and skills of lifelong learning and now also serves to educate nurses from Ukraine. The lack of nurses is a hot topic today and the change in education has not solved this critical situation. One way to tackle the critical lack of nurses is to find them in countries with similar cultures and languages. One of these countries is Ukraine, which is geographically close. The Ministry of Health was involved in the project of the Ministry of Industry and Trade "Special Procedures for Highly Qualified Employees from Ukraine." In the project, 15 health service providers from the Czech Republic were successfully included in the project, including Thomayer Hospital, where the lack of staff is needed.
