Written expressions of pupils at the 3rd and 5th graders in diagnostic dictation

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of written expression of pupils in relation to their region and the type of schools in which they are educated. It also deals with spelling skills of pupils with specific developmental disorders of scholastic skills. The theoretical part summarizes the findings relating to the development of writing skills. It describes two basic developmental models, as well as the diagnostics of spelling. The research part consists of two assessment methods such as the quantitative methodology and the qualitative research methods which summarize the level of spelling skills contained in the research sample. The diagnosis revealed that both of the assessment methods are reliable and comparable for the diagnosis of the specific developmental disorders of scholastic skills and their outputs. The research revealed lower scores amongst pupils in the region who were included in the conducted tests used for the research. This research helped to define similarities and differences in spelling skills between socially disadvantaged pupils and pupils with specific developmental disorders of scholastic skills. The motivation of Roma childern to education and learning

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of the Romani children and their motivation for learning. It is based on a widely believed idea that motivation of the Romani ethnic group in general is different from the vast majority of population. In practice this problem may manifest itself when the children in question are unwilling to learn, they disrupt the educational process, they refuse to go to school and discontinue their further education as such. The theoretical part of the paper is focused on describing Romani people and their particularities connected with the family environment in which the Romani children are brought up and which strongly forms their attitudes. It also determines the amount of motivation for learning as a starting point for success in terms of education. Motivational factors depend on the value of education in the broader socio-cultural context of the Romani minority. The practical part of the thesis is based on the ethnographic research. The purpose of the research has been to analyze motivation of the Romani children for education. Effect of verdikt D.H. and others against Czech republic on change of educational law and educational practice

The diploma deals with an analytic evaluation of The European Court of Human Rights adjudication in the matter of D.H. and others versus the Czech Republic. The aim is to ascertain how this verdict has influenced school legislation and the educational practice. The research focuses on discovering whether the Czech Republic has been fulfilling the obligations established by the European Court, and mapping the consequences of the verdict on the practices of the involved parties, which are practical schools, school consultency facilities and the Czech School Inspectorate. The result is a comprehensive description of the steps which the government has made towards eliminating discrimination of Romany pupils in the education system. Based on the foundings, it can be stated that in the upcoming future there should not be any occurences of discrimination of pupils being put to practical schools.

TITLE: Specificity of education social disadvantaged child SUMMARY: This thesis deals with familiarity and experience of teachers and the principal of special education stream with the integration of socially disadvantaged pupils. The work deals with the reputation of so-called "Common Education" in the professional community of teachers, special education teachers and other educational staff. It also deals with experienced teachers with the integration of these pupils. It also dedicates level of awareness about who is a disciple of underprivileged knowledge and methods that can help this integration. Finally, the work deals with the familiarity of an amendment to the Education Act no. 82/2015 and knowledge of individual impacts on working with the student. Furthermore, the work deals with the degree of acceptance of compulsory attendance in the final year of nursery school and the abolition of preparatory classes. Also, the work deals with the possibilities that offers teachers plan educational support. Possibilities of Development of Individual Functions in Socially Disadvantaged Children in Younger School Age

This thesis deals with the possibilities of development of partial functions in socially disadvantaged children of younger school age. The theoretical part introduces basic characteristics of children of younger school age, social disadvantage, and impacts of environment on education; partial functions, their diagnostics, and deficits in such functions. It also presents specific learning disorders and behaviour disorders as well as selected options of support for socially disadvantaged children. The practical part presents the results of the research focused on the situation of socially disadvantaged children of younger school age within the context of possibilities of development of their partial functions. The qualitative research was processed using the grounded theory method, while the methods of data collection included interview, observation, and analysis of document. The key elements found were the exhaustion of parents of socially disadvantaged children and transferring of responsibility for the education process to the child. The conclusion of the thesis contains practical recommendations for work with families with children in connection with the education of socially disadvantaged children and the possibilities of supporting their development.
Gaining Independence of Clients of Facilities of Alternative Education Care in International Comparison

Gaining independence of clients in the system of the alternative education care is the cardinal topic of the work. Within the framework of the international comparison, the author analyses and makes a survey of the problems accompanying this process. The work does not contain only the conclusions the author came to based on the research in chosen countries (Czech Republic and Poland) but also presents suitable recommendations how the problem of gaining independence of clients of the alternative education care can be solved. The introductory part is applied to theoretical solutions, the international comparisons and examples of a good practice abroad. The author follows opinions of different experts in causalities of the problem from the influence of the biological family through socialization of the clients of the education care to the very problems of the institutional care. He presents these opinions subsequently in the context. In the methodological and research parts the author tries to answer the cardinal question: "What is way the clients of the alternative education care are prepared in order to gain independence?" Social disadvantage of secondary school student - the effect of disadvantage on education and possibilities of eliminating this phenomenon

This thesis focuses on the education of secondary school pupils who are socially disadvantaged. It presents the phenomenon of social disadvantage in the context of education and current legislation. It also describes the current situation and the causes of social disadvantage, particularly the role of the family, and also focuses on pupils and their families from socially excluded localities. A significant amount of space is dedicated to descriptions of the manifestations of social disadvantage in school, the diagnosis of social disadvantage, and the specific education of socially disadvantaged pupils, especially the principles of such education. The goals of this thesis are to demonstrate the effect of social disadvantage on secondary school pupils and to highlight possible solutions to this phenomenon within the education system, the possibilities for support in education, and the role of the school social worker in eliminating the impacts of social disadvantage in education. The thesis also contains case histories of socially disadvantaged female pupils as a demonstration of the professional and important work of the school social worker. Approaches to education of socially handicapped children in the Czech republic and in Slovakia

This thesis deals with education of socially handicapped people in the Czech Republic and in Slovakia. It presents approaches and supporting disposals in both countries. The attention is devoted to actual situation in education of socially handicapped children at various degrees of schools. It describes affirmative actions, such as preliminary classes, education assistants in the Czech Republic or zero grades, education assistants and daylong education system in Slovakia. The thesis also sums up several projects focused on socially handicapped, one project focused on Roma children support realized in the Czech republic, three projects focused on education of socially handicapped, their parents' and educators' support, realized in middle Slovakia in years 2011-2015.
