Subjective wellbeing of science gifted adolescents

This bachelor's thesis focuses on the subjective wellbeing of science-gifted adolescents. The goal of this thesis is to describe subjective wellbeing in the context of gifted adolescents and to determine when these individuals are happy. Participants of the summer science camp Běstvinka were selected as the sample of the gifted adolescents. The theoretical part focuses on different categories of wellbeing, including models and their comparisons, to better understand this complex phenomenon. The research part of the thesis presents the research questions and objectives of the thesis including the methodology used. The first goal of the thesis is to describe the subjective wellbeing of gifted adolescents. The research questions focus on exploring subjective wellbeing, examining the difference between genders and between the two camp groups. Other research questions aim to find out when gifted adolescents are happy and finding out how subjective wellbeing and self-efficacy are related in this research sample. Availability and Development of Early Care in Support of Children with Social Disadvantage in the Czech Republic

The diploma thesis deals with the availability and possibilities of developing early childhood care in support of children with social disadvantages. The theoretical part is focuses on early child development in the context of social disadvantage and early care, aiming to describe and demonstrate the significance of early care, including insights from foreign studies and research. The empirical part is based on qualitative research, semi-structured interviews with seven respondents, who were employees in organizations or facilities involved in the Early Care Platform. The data were analyzed and interpreted primarily based on methodological materials by Švaříček and Šeďová (2007). The analysis was conducted using the open coding method, with data interpretation subsequently employing the card sorting technique. The main goal of the thesis was to explore and evaluate the state of availability of early care services in the Czech Republic and possibilities for its development. Tracking of graduates of secondary vocational schools

Regular evaluation of graduates' satisfaction with the school and the quality of education provided is one of the important tools of quality management in education. Through regular and targeted tracing of former pupils, it is possible to detect mismatches between education and labour market requirements, but also to identify facts that can improve the quality of school education and provide valuable feedback to school management. The thesis on "Tracking of secondary school leavers" is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part describes the definitions and basic concepts related to this topic. These include, for example, concepts such as pupil and graduate, the education system in the Czech Republic, school climate and the influence of school climate on pupil satisfaction or factors influencing the choice of school. The aim of the thesis is to find out how former pupils are satisfied with the school they graduated from, the quality of education they received, how they evaluate the contribution of the education they received to their further studies and professional career and to translate these findings into recommendations for school management. Intergenerational sharing of the teaching profession in specific cases of one primary school

The aim of this thesis is to describe the intergenerational sharing of the teaching profession on specific cases of two families, whose members have taught at the same school at some point in their career. It was necessary to describe the conditions and prerequisites for the teaching profession at the time, in which each member was entering the field. The method chosen for this thesis was a qualitative exploratory investigation, which allows a complex and deeper delving into the topic. Findings from semi-structured interviews were evaluated via shared and differing selected characteristics. The research shows that the teaching profession is shared in families in a consistent intergenerational manner. The parent does not strictly recommend the field, while the grandparent does, via a certain pride in continuing the family craft. Intergenerational sharing of the profession is based on several factors, such as familiarity with the environment, communication of the profession to the child and a form of sharing it amongst family members. Having a common field of work throughout a family is described to be positive and to, in some cases, strengthen relationships. The diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of the need for a set of didactic aids for pupils with different special educational needs, the creation and verification of a set of didactic aids for pupils in the field of 2-year Practical School, which can be used in the teaching of the subjects Sewing and Working with materials. Due to the lack of suitable aids in the field of sewing and working with materials for secondary school pupils with a wide range of disabilities and disadvantages, it seemed like an appropriate solution to invent and create tailor-made aids based on theoretical analysis of the issues of education of pupils with SEN, mostly with mild and moderate mental retardation, autism spectrum disorders and combined disabilities or with impaired communication skills. In the practical part, the method of observation, interview and action research was used to verify didactic materials in specific teaching situations with pupils of the 2-year Practical School at Secondary Vocational School in Liberec. The work focuses on mapping the experiences of school psychologists who work in elementary schools with an innovative school education program (ŠVP) in the Czech Republic. Preparing teachers to work with gifted students

The diploma thesis focuses on the preparation of teachers for work with gifted pupils at primary schools of mainstream education. The aim of the thesis is to describe possible educational practices and to analyze the methods of work that teachers can apply in the process of educating gifted pupils at a regular primary school. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the concept of giftedness, its models and classification. Furthermore, the theoretical part focuses on the identification of gifted individuals, especially teachers, on basic approaches in the education of gifted pupils and also focuses on the education of teachers for working with gifted pupils. The research part of the thesis describes the research itself, which is solved by a mixed design of quantitative and qualitative approach. The quantitative research was carried out through a questionnaire survey and we used semi-structured interviews to collect data as part of the qualitative research. 81 respondents took part in the questionnaire survey and four respondents were subsequently contacted for semi-structured interviews. The diploma thesis focuses on the methods and forms of support and counselling provided by a school special educator in a mainstream primary school to a pupil with mild mental disability. The aim of the thesis is to map and present the methods that are chosen when working with the chosen pupil and the reasons for their use. The theoretical part defines the concepts of intellectual disability, especially mild intellectual disability, the profession of the school special educational needs teacher and the methods that are generally used in the education of pupils with mild intellectual disability in mainstream primary schools. In her thesis The Peace of Art, the author deals with situations in which artistic activity brings individuals together as participants. These situations are encountered through descriptions in the theoretical, research and practical sections. In the theoretical part, two authors of socially engaged art projects are introduced and examples of their work are presented, demonstrating different artistic approaches and pathways to participatory audiences. The theoretical part focuses on the Czech environment in cultural and educational discourse. Through art education, art enters the ground of (not only) primary schools, where it encounters obstacles and gaps between the participants of the educational process. The theory continues by introducing the subject of art education in a Czech public elementary school and describing some of the ways of collaboration that take place in the school environment. The diploma thesis focuses on the field of career counselling in its entirety. The theoretical part defines concepts such as motivation and career and describes the most well-known career typologies. It presents the sectors where career counsellor can be found, including the definition of target groups that most often seek the career counsellors help. It comprehensively introduces the services, forms, methods and tools used by career counsellors, including his or her competences according to the National Occupation Classification System. It deals with the education of career counsellors, including the standards of the National Qualification System. The empirical part focuses on the motivation of students in career counselling to pursue the profession of career counsellor. The thesis aimed to identify the reasons for studying the chosen field and the cocerns that respondents perceive in connection with their future career.
