New types of eating disorders affecting high school students in a selected region

The bachalor thesis deals with the new types of eating disorders. The theoretical part first explains the whole problematics of eating disorders and lately focuses on more detailed characteristics of orthorexia, bigorexia and drunkorexia. Moreover there is a description of adolescence and its risk for developing eating disorders. The aim of the empirical part of the thesis is to investigate the circumstances of incidence and prevalence of selected eating disorders, namely ortorexia and bigorexia affecting high school students in Čáslav city. The tested sample consisted of students from four different high school - Grammar school and SOŠPg Čáslav a žáci SPŠ a OA Čáslav. The 21-question survey was used and analyzed to accomplish the defined goals. The questions were chosen based on specialised literature and other already existing surveys. A total of 209 pupils took part in the empirical survey. The work reveals 18 respondents who show signs of risk for the development of orthorexia or bigorexia. Addictive behavior on Instagram

This diploma thesis focuses on possible emergency of addicted behaviour due to Instagram usage. The number of users of this social network is constantly rising and the age limit, when children first come into contact with this platform, is constantly decreasing. Foreign experts strongly support the inclusion of this addiction among mental illnesses in ICD 10. In the Czech Republic, we encounter more controversial views on this disease. There is a lack of any extensive research to confirm the fact that this is really an addiction that affects the lives of social network users. The aim of this thesis is to prove or refute that this social network can actually cause addiction to its users. The theoretical part first deals with the origin of addictive behavior, the nature of behavioral addiction, what factors can affect addiction and how this addiction can affect the life quality of the individual. The research is focused on older school age pupils and adolescents. Because social networks are so diverse, the diagnostic interview is further specified only on the addictive behavior caused by the Instagram network. Implementation of weekly thematic units into the teaching in special elementary school

The thesis deals with possibilities of educating pupils with moderate and severe mental disabilities, multiple disabilities and autism. The theoretical part describes an educational system of these pupils and presents an integrated thematic teaching model in weekly units. The practical part presents a proposal of teaching project in the specific educational needs of these pupils. The aim of this thesis is to introduce proposed teaching project in the duration of one month, into the conditions of particular special elementary school and find out its learning results by action research. The outputs of this thesis are proposals for integrated thematic teaching in special elementary school. Teaching Foreigners in The Center For Preschool children at DDM of The Capital City Prague

The diploma thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. It deals with preschool education and foreigners in the Czech republic within its theoretical part. It focuses on the education of foreigners in the Centre for Preschool Children (CPD) in a children and youth centre of the capital city Prague, DDM hl. m. Prahy. Theoretical knowledge is applied in the practical part. The practical part of the thesis approaches the reality of foreigners' education in CPD in DDM hl. m. Prahy through seven case studies. The main aim of the thesis is to analyse the specifications of working with children of different cultures in CPD. The aim of the thesis is to introduce ways of teaching other cultures in CPD. The application aim of the thesis is to help pedagogues of the Centre for Preschool Children in DDM hl. m. Prahy work with children of other cultures and help them be better prepared for situations that may occure. The outcome of the thesis is a recommendation for working with particular children in CPD. The thesis gives basic orientation in the topic of education of foreigners in the Centre for Preschool Children in DDM hl. m. Prahy and can be extended.
Social disadvantage of children and the young at the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

This diploma thesis focuses on clients of the Department of child and adolescent psychiatry who are hospitalized because of their behaviour and adaptation disorder. A significant sign of these children is their problematic behaviour and maladaptation resulting from their social handicap which has several forms. The environment of psychiatry centre adjusts different social measures and educational patterns and needs. The theoretic part describes the term of a socially disadvantaged child, moreover, it states the function of a family, relations and educational styles as a base of primal socialisation, as a headstone of their activity in society. The practical part of the thesis describes seven case studies about individual clients of the centre and their activity in this specific environment. The main goal of the investigation was to prove that the psyche of the school aged children is influenced by their social handicap which results in their bad self- control mechanisms, low self-evaluation, and also in their behaviour disorders.
