Readiness of beginning teachers for prevention and solution of school bullying

This diploma thesis will focus on school bullying, the readiness of beginning teachers to address this issue. The aim of the thesis is to describe and characterize the readiness of beginning teachers from the Karlovy Vary and Pilsen regions to solve school bullying. The theoretical part contains the definition of partial concepts of school bullying. It points out the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of bullying at the primary school level. It also explains the concept of beginning teacher, deals with the professional training of teachers, the key output of teacher training - professional competencies. Last but not least, it points to shortcomings in the professional training of teachers towards practice. The empirical part will analyze the research of beginning teachers in the Karlovy Vary and Pilsen regions. The evaluation was based on a questionnaire survey of 79 respondents and the results show that most of the interviewed beginning teachers do not feel relevantly prepared to address the issue of school bullying in practice. The results also point to huge differences between graduates of different universities. Differences between the beginning and experienced teachers of Physical Education in a lesson preparation and motivation of students on the second stage of elementary schools and lower grades of high schools

Title: Differences between the beginning and experienced teachers of Physical Education in a lesson preparation and motivation of students on the second stage of elementary schools and lower grades of high schools. Aims: The main aim of diploma thesis is to compare and describe differences between beginning and experienced teachers of Physical Education in the Czech Republic in the field of lesson preparation and student motivation. We were interested if there are any significant discrepancies or similarities between selected concepts. Methods: Data of the practical part were assembled by the method of empirical quantitative research in a form of a self-made questionnaire in which took part the teachers of Physical Education who teach on the second stage of elementary schools and lower grades of high schools in the Czech Republic. A condition for filling in was the length of pedagogical practice under five years or upon twenty years. 25 % of elementary schools and 25 % of high schools from each region were randomly asked. In total, 772 schools were addressed, we gathered 271 answers from respondents. Acquired data were elaborated and evaluated in the MS Excel programme. Thrown into reality: Beginning teachers'expectations confronted with professional practice (radio documentary)

This practical bachelor's thesis, which includes a 16-minute radio documentary titled Thrown into Reality, deals with the study preparation and professional beginnings of graduates in teaching disciplines and their original expectations compared to the reality of pedagogical practice. Given the ambiguity of the radio documentary genre, which oscillates on the border of journalistic and artistic style, one of the goals of this theoretical part of the work is to provide insight into this genre in comparison with other journalistic genres, which are very close to its definition and characteristics (feature, band, reportage). The primary way of obtaining information for this document - a dialogue or interview - is also shortly described. One of the subchapters presents several examples of contemporary Czech radio documentaries. In the second part, the topic of radio document itself is introduced, namely the most common issues of beginning teachers and the introduction of recent graduates to their first job position, followed by author's reflection of the work. Problems of Early Career Teachers with the Use of Activating Methods in Biology Teaching

Activating methods are of a great importance in teaching, among other things, in the development of students' independence, their thinking and the formation of social relationships. Strengthening the student's role and emphasizing his/her active work requires a specific approach of teachers, as well as their increased preparation for teaching. Especially beginning teachers have to deal with a number of difficulties when starting their teaching career. However, it has not yet been clearly described how they cope with the use of activating methods. The main goal of this work was to map the problems of beginning teachers using activating methods in natural science at the start of their careers. One of the sub-questions was to find out what would help teachers at the beginning of their teaching practice to include activating methods in teaching with greater certainty and frequency. To answer the research questions, a survey of six beginning primary school natural science teachers was conducted in October and November 2021. Classes were listened to and followed by interviews with individual teachers. Diploma thesis addresses the issue of initial training of beginning teachers of primary school in Czech schools. Defines the requirements for successful integration of new employees, as well as suggesting possible standard procedures, methods and assesses the possibility of their use in the school environment. It describes the role of supervising teacher and the meaning of its existence. The task of the practical part is to find out with which kinds of educational activities beginning teachers have problems. In interviews with experienced teachers, we tried to clarify whether at the time of their beginnings had the same problems as current teachers and we wonder on what skills and knowledge should be students of faculties of education trained better. The diploma thesis named Pedagogical practices and their tasks for primary school teachers' development deals with the topic of the pedagogical practices at colleges and universities. The thesis finds out the extent of students' being ready for carrying the practice out. The following task of the thesis is to describe what the students and beginner teachers think about the practice. The theoretical part is aimed at the pedagogical practice process and its connection with the primary teachers' education. Important part of the thesis is to compare the time extent of the practice at different colleges and universities. The practical part works with the qualitative research. Competances beginning teachers at primary school to individualize teaching

This Thesis is focused on beginning teachers as absolvents of Charles University Faculty of Education with experience at most three years. There is explained what competences teachers have to individualize lessons at Primary school. This topic is very popular these days and doesn't cover only children with specific needs or children who are gifted, but it includes all pupils. This thesis tries to map this current situation with eight chosen teachers who respond to our requairments. The Teoretic part is divided into five chapters, which describe professional quality of teacher with deep focusing on personal characteristic, the term a beginning teacher and his most frequent problems. Next chapter is focused on pedagogical competences. Subchapters are conected with deep analyzation of teacher's competances to individualize his lessons and introduse some tendences in current preparatory education of teachers at primary schools. Novice Teacher 's Entrance into the Practice and the Initial Problems Associated with it

The diploma thesis describes the novice teachers' problems they have to face and are associated with their entrance into the practice. Its aim is to identify these problems via analysis, describe possible solution and suggest a support how to prevent these problems. The theoretical part focuses on a teacher as an individual, his or her quality and professional standards nowadays. Additionally, the thesis summarises any concerns the novice teachers might have, any problems and the support system available to them. This system stems from the educational preparation and a lifelong professional progress. The practical part of the thesis contains a qualitative research based on three resources - a questionnaire, an interview and an observation method. This part aims to analyse problems of novice teachers in the first month of their practice, their approaches to solution and available support provided to them. The purpose of the observation is to further elaborate the current problems of novice teachers and to form a view on how they are facing with them nowadays.
