Educational management of pedagogical staff

The diploma thesis analyzes the current problems associated with further education of pedagogical staff in the capital city of Prague. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts, characterizes the current system of education, new trends in further education of teachers and provides an overview of further education in some EU countries. The practical part evaluates the results of a research survey, which includes the analysis and comparison of data obtained from structured interviews, questionnaires and annual reports of schools. Problems in further education of pedagogical staff, its quality, method of implementation and factors that affect it are, among other things, assessed with regard to the specific needs of teachers for working with pupils with special educational difficulties. Effect of specific support from the founder on the conceptual changes in the language education in primary schools This final bachelor thesis deals with the examination of the influence of targeted support by the founder in the area of language education in primary schools on the basis of the assessment of qualitative values of education results, based on the implementation of conceptual changes in the area of language education included in the school education programmes, on the basis of enlargement of the scope of foreign-language education and on the basis of increased use of the areas of communicative approach in teaching foreign languages. This thesis follows from the basic forms of education financing, from the use of direct methods of language teaching and from the current knowledge in the area of language education. The research part is preceded by the evaluation of the initial conditions preexisting the initiation of the system support of the language education development. Development of Elementary Education in Zavratec and Surrounding other Towns between 1815-1918

of the diploma thesis The diploma thesis focuses on the analysis of historical development of system of education in a particular region in the context of historical influences. The thesis is formally divided into two parts. The first is descriptive and deals with the process of formation of elementary schools from their historical origins untill the first half of 19th century. Particular attention is devoted to essential education reforms and to socio- economical status of teachers. The second part of the thesis focuses on the history of local schools in Závratec and its surroundigs between 1820 and 1918. With the application of microanalytical method, there is a description of particular social situations and historical contexts of the establishment and development of one of the elementary schools.

This diploma thesis deals with current topic of lack of capacity of public nurseries and sketches possibilities of establishment of company nurseries as another way of preschools in the theoretical part. The diploma thesis makes an effort to summarize basic factors which can influence establishment and development of these company nurseries. Emphasis is put on importance of preschool education. The research part describes poossibilities of establishment and operation of company nurseries, finds out current development a identifies factors which influence their establlishment and operations. The research part is also focused on quality of education in these company nurseries. The qualitative research was used to achieve the research goal, the main method used to achieve the goal was multiple-case study.

Audit of the education system of the Czech Republic and its critical analysis

The dissertation deals with the critical analysis of the audit of the education system of the Czech Republic, issued in 2014 by EDUin non-profit organization. The theoretical part de- scribes basic characteristics of the education system in the context of the level of the Czech education phenomenon. The aim of the dissertation is to analyse the bases and sources which were used to elaborate the audit of the education system and to make comparison with stra- tegic and other relevant documents. The aim will be achieved on the basis of the results of research, the relevance of the audit, presented by EDUin organization, will be confirmed or disproved. The interview with the authors of the audit and the analysis of documents are research methods and techniques. The interview with authors of the audit brings the answers to the questions of the research survey: "What is the audit of the education system and why did EDUin organization issue the audit?"The authors feature motivational impulses, which encouraged them to issue the audit, and clarify the main aims of the audit. Looking into and Evaluation Quallity, Efficiency and Effects of Further Education A thesis centers upon description and comparison of methods that gain a feedback in the field of the quality of further education. It considers both institutions providing further education and institutions/organisations (e.g. schools, offices of public administration) representing source of participants of further education courses. A theoretical part the thesis compares well known methods reporting on the quality and effectivity of further education in a view of both a provider and a customer. A research aims for an analysis of gaining a feedback in the field of further education from 50 providing institutions and 340 institutions/organizations in a role of a customer. Those 340 institutions/organizations include 32 offices of public administrative and another 308 publicly figuring organizations (e.g. schools). This part of the thesis also presents positives and negatives of chosen methods. A conclusion of the thesis summarizes findings and provides recommendations for both surveyed groups.
The quality of education of adiktology in the Czech Republic from the point of view of students

Background: The addictology is taught in the Czech republic at the first faculty of medicine of Charles University. Continuous assessment of the quality of teaching, whether by means of evaluation questionnaires, interviews with teachers or students, can have a decisive influence on the further development of this field and its possible improvement. Aims: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to find out how students of full-time study of addictology view quality of teaching of addictology and quality of the practice associated with it. Methods: The practical part of the bachelor thesis is made by using qualitative research methods, it uses the possibilities of the focus group, which is composed of a students of the 3rd year of full-time bachelor study of addictology. In total, focus groups are attended by 11 students. The data was further processed by the encoding method. Results: The research results were divided into 3 categories: 1. Requirements of knowledge and skills in practice, 2. Forms of teaching, 3. Organization of courses and their time requirements. The results indicate a lack of practical exercises and demonstrations during the lessons. Research results that students are overloaded with a number of subjects. Quality of further education processes

The aim of this diploma thesis is to identify differences in the perception of the quality of further education processes from the viewpoint of the participant, the lecturer and the director of the educational institution. The partial aim of the thesis is to confirm or to rebut the hypothesis based on experience from one's own practice that the lector is the most important factor influencing the quality of further education processes. The theoretical part is divided into two chapters, the first chapter characterizing the process and the quality of further education including the methods and tools used to manage the quality of the processes in further education, the role of quality management in the organizations providing further education. The second chapter deals with various factors influencing the quality of the continuing education processes. The practical part of the thesis includes a research of the quality of the processes of further education, in which quantitative and qualitative methods are used. Current trends in education and their application in lifelong education of English teachers

This dissertation thesis deals with lifelong education, specifically a programme provided by the Department of English Language and Literature at Charles University, Prague. The thesis is divided into two parts: theoretical and research. In the theoretical part, the theoretical basis of lifelong education is analysed, as well as trends in selected aspects of it. In the research part, data about appropriate programmes from other European countries as well as curricula from other universities and colleges in the Czech Republic and from abroad are analysed. The results of the pilot stage, the questionnaire distributed among the successful participants of the lifelong education programme, which are followed by semi-structured interviews, are presented and compared. In addition, semi-structured interviews were conducted with the teachers teaching in this programme. Content analysis is used to process, compare and interpret the collected data with regard to the programme in question and to the aims of the thesis.
