Integrated education of children from socially disadvantaged families

This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of integrated education of children from socially disadvantaged families on the preschool level. This topic is currently very relevant due to recent changes in legislation and the increasing trend of inclusion of children with some type of learning disadvantage to the mainstream education. The topic of integration of socially disadvantaged children has a potential to be explored from the point of view of preschool facilities, which are participators in the issue. The main goal of this research is to identify how integration of socially disadvantaged children works in practice. This research also found out which specific methods kindergartens apply, how much does the process follow legislation and also how its employees evaluate the effectiveness of integration. The thesis also provided an overview of the tools used in integrated education through the theory of public policy instruments. The findings of this bachelor thesis came primarily from a case study of kindergarten Mozaika, which is located in Jihlava. The research goals were fulfilled thanks to experience of interviewed teachers. Findings from interviews were supplemented by data obtained from a research of literature, legislation and statistical data.

This situation has had a great impact especially on the pupils with special needs including those with social disadvantage. The qualitative research together with structured and semi-structured interviews with socially disadvantaged families and educational service workers will, with emphasis on the issue of pupils with social disadvantage, help clarify the input preconditions for distance education with its obstacles, schools' strategies, the role of special tutors and the schools' potential for collaboration with other institutions and participants at the time of distance eduction. The outcomes of this thesis reveal that to find an adequate way to support the pupils with special needs, it is crucial for the schools to know the pupils' family conditions and set up a suitable strategy for their education based on the situation. Social disadvantage of children and the young at the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

This diploma thesis focuses on clients of the Department of child and adolescent psychiatry who are hospitalized because of their behaviour and adaptation disorder. A significant sign of these children is their problematic behaviour and maladaptation resulting from their social handicap which has several forms. The environment of psychiatry centre adjusts different social measures and educational patterns and needs. The theoretic part describes the term of a socially disadvantaged child, moreover, it states the function of a family, relations and educational styles as a base of primal socialisation, as a headstone of their activity in society. The practical part of the thesis describes seven case studies about individual clients of the centre and their activity in this specific environment. The main goal of the investigation was to prove that the psyche of the school aged children is influenced by their social handicap which results in their bad self- control mechanisms, low self-evaluation, and also in their behaviour disorders. Diploma thesis The profession of assistant teacher at the first level of elementary school with his own perspective, deals with the teacher's assistants in terms of motivation, which the actors led to the profession, in terms of demands for this profession, cooperation with teachers, pupils and their parents. The thesis also examines the position / role of teacher assistant at school and looks at the self-perceptions of the actors themselves. The thesis is divided into two parts, ie the theoretical part and the practical part. In the practical part are presented the results of analysis of interviews with teachers' assistants. In the theoretical part, the reader is first acquainted with the trend of inclusive education, the division of pupils with special educational needs and the provision of support measures, including the profession of teacher assistant. The work focuses on the area integration stay focused on canistherapy as a tool for strenghening social responsibility intact children and children with disabilities and social disadvantage. The theoretical part deals with the issue of spending free time of children and youth, with an emphasis on the possibilities of involving children with special needs in leisure activities. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the historical insights of the integration tendencies in the Czech lands, the definition of integration and inclusion concepts and, last but not least, the field of activities and therapy in the presence of a dog. A child from socially disadvantaged environment from kindergarten teacher's point of view

The topic of bachelor thesis is socially disadvanteged child. The thesis is devided to two parts: theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part it is summarized the meaning of social disadvantage and the problematic of social exclusion. There is also monitored the development of preschool age children from three to six years, where I compare the physical, motor and cognitive features. Then I describe specific features of the personality of socially disadvantaged child. Finally, the theoretical part is focused on the personality of kindergarten teacher characteristics and current approaches in preschool education. The practical part is based on the use of quantitative method - questioning. It summarizes the results of 113 teachers and kindergarten teachers, where the aim is to find out what the differences perceived by teachers for socially disadvantaged children how to work with them and if the introduction of compulsory pre-school year would positively affect the development of a socially disadvantaged child.

The diploma thesis "Issue of integrating children from socially disadvantaged ambience to nursery school" deals with the inclusive process of children from the socio-economically disadvantaged environment placed to nursery schools. The thesis describes the legislative framework of inclusion and the social environment of the Czech society. This work also deals with the Roma community, which makes up a large proportion of people with socio-economic disadvantage. It defines the role of the teacher in the inclusion of children from a socially disadvantaged environment and the position of the teacher assistant. The research part deals with the inclusive process of specific children at nursery school in the city with high unemployment. It also monitors the approach of individuals involved in the inclusive process and suggests possible changes that could lead to its improvement.
Special education support for children form socially exculded localities in education in preschools and primary schools

The topic of the master thesis is Special education support for children from socially excluded localities in education in preschools and primary schools. The thesis deals with the topic of social disadvantage of children of pre-school and elementary school age. The theoretical part is focused on defining the terms social disadvantage and socially excluded area. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the influence of the families on social learning of children and the consequences of social disadvantage on the children's development and education. Two chapters of the thesis deal with the possibilities of support for socially disadvantaged children. One of them is devoted to the provision of support measures at schools, the other one defines some strategies and programs aimed at the development of the children. The practical part analyses the results of a research survey mapping the level of development of particular selected functions in children from socially excluded areas. The used research method was testing. The research involved testing of 10 children from socially excluded areas and their results were compared to the testing results of other 10 children who were not from socially excluded areas. The bachelor thesis is focused on the possibilities of arteteraphy and artefiletics utilization in the work with the clients of social services. Emphasis is in particular placed on the area of social prevention, which is the main area of provided services. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts of artetherapy and artefiletics, their forms, methods and approaches. The practical part deals with the possibility of concrete usage of art techniques in work with clients of services in Útočiště o.p.s. It describes usage of arteterapeutical techniques in the organisation and their evaluation.
