First class primary school pupil and its adaptation in the social sphere from the perspective of parents and elementary school teachers

The diploma thesis deals with the adaptation 1st class primary school pupils, to the school environment in social area. It is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is focused on the process of adaptation pupil to the school environment, it explains the concept of socialization, analyzing school maturity, the readiness and the terms of school education. The practical part is based on a combination of quantitative and qualitative research. The method of questionnaire, interview and observation provides the identified data to deal with the issue of adaptation pupil at the 1st class primary school in the social field and analyzes the attitude of parents and first class teachers to the adaptation pupils to the school environment in the social sphere. The aim of the diploma thesis is analyzing the opinion to that issue by parents and first class primary school teachers.
Climate in the school working in prisons and in ordinary vocational schools

The aim of this thesis is to find out to what extent the prison environment can influence the mood of a teaching staff. In the theoretical part, after defining the basic concepts, we are going to deal with a school climate. This basic theme is explained by the basic factors affecting school climate from the perspective of a parent, pupil, director and teacher. We are going to attend to the influence of teachers over school and how that school climate can affect teachers. The last chapter is dedicated to educating inmates in an environment of imprisonment and education possibilities which are offers to prisoner by this system. Aggression of Pupils Against Teacher and its Solution in Chosen Schools

The present thesis addresses the aggression of the pupil against the teacher, with the focus on the secondary school environment. In the first chapter focused on theory I aim to describe aggression, its related terms and the viewpoint of related literature. The second part studies the aggression in schoolchildren, its particularities and preconditions. The empirical part of the thesis starts in the third chapter: I analyse the sources of the society's information about youth aggression, i.e. media and police statistics. Finally, the fourth chapter describes my own research, a survey among secondary school teachers. This project aims to find out how teachers perceive the aggression of contemporary youth, and to compare the results with the findings of a similar research done in 2008. Classrooms' psychosocial climate in the secondary schools of different focus

Master's thesis "Classrooms' psychosocial chmate in the secondary schools of different focus" is divided into the theoretical part and the practical part. In the theoretical part the main focus is dedicated to an explanation of the basic terms concerning the theme followed by the analysis of its parts. This is mainly an analysis of classroom development, stages, types of class climate and mapping the factors that contribute to create the climate in the class including gender difference. The key attitudes towards the class climate research, the exploratory method which has been used in the practical part also play an important role in the theoretical part. The empirical part focuses on diagnosis of classrooms'climate at selected secondary schools of different focus in the region Klatovy and summarizes the results received by quantitative method through selected standardized questionnaire KLIT. The aim of this part is firstly to compare school climate in the secondary schools of different focus including evaluation of stated hypothesis in the research and secondly interpret the discovered information.
Social-economic status of Czech teacher

Theoretical part of dissertation was focused to defined concept teacher and his social and economic position. These concepts were focused from professional literature and law of Czech Republic. Practical part then is turn on in first line on the research of teacher's job. Some of them refer to prestige of teacher, another generally teachers position, his intensity and complexity, another was devoted education system universally. The second part explores from qualitative research of some respondents their attitudes and opinions to teachers position. The target of thesis was compare of idea trainees with conclusion, where was found out from researches of teachers job and professional literature. The thesis come to the conclusion in teacher's prestige and together was alert to some phenomenon, where are charted but not appropriately resolved. Abstract: This dissertation thesis deals with the evaluation of teachers in the context of the Czech educational system. The theoretical part first mapped theories related to the concepts of evaluation and teacher. The conclusions of these two chapters are then relate in the chapter Evaluation of Teachers. The second part of the thesis presents quantitative research of the situation of teacher's evaluation in the context of Czech primary schools. The description is then compared with the theoretical model of evaluation of teachers, which is the output of theoretical part. Dissertation should contribute to the implementation of systematic teacher evaluation as a tool for improving the quality of education and simultaneously to the professionalisation of teaching. Educational problems of children in a difficult life situation

This thesis is focused on educational problems of children in a difficult life situation. The theoretical part deals with social pedagogical concept of a difficult situation in life. It also goes about coping of those situations and their specifics in children. It focuses on child endangerment of his family background and its consequences and symptoms at school. It also describes the various teachers' approaches to the child's situation. The practical part using qualitative research methods, in-depth interviews and document analysis examines the concrete manifestation of difficult life situations from the perspective of three children and their teachers with emphasis on their understanding, assessment and approach to this situation. The difficult life situation of children showed on many levels at school. It revelas at the level of relations with classmates, at the level of behavior, school performance, relationship to the teacher, etc. Teachers' attitudes were mostly responsive and supportive. Role of a teaching assistant in the matter of support for pupils with barriers in learning

The aim of this dissertation is to describe the role of teaching assistants in the matter of support for pupils with barriers in learning at primary school. In the theoretical part, the main focus is on legislative anchoring of teaching assistant's position, on establishing the responsibilities and the content of teaching assistant's work, on methodical support which is provided by schools' headmasters or particular organisations, on support for teachers and on discovered benefits that are secured by the role of teaching assistant. Everything mentioned is placed in contrast with the scholar system in Great Britain, especially with the way the local authorities deal with the post of teaching assistant. The empirical part of the dissertation explore the cooperation of teaching assistant and teacher by using the method of in-depth interview with teaching assistants and observation their work in class. The result of the dissertation is showing the evidence of teaching assistant's importance in educational process and his/her help and support for teacher. The Prestige of Teachers Occupation

Thesis deals with the prestige of the teaching profession. Its main goal is to try to find out how teachers themselves perceive the prestige connected with their profession. The research consisted of in-depth semi-structured interviews with teachers on this issue and their subsequent analysis. It turned out that although teachers occupy on occupational prestige scales regularly top positions within the interviews they spoke about very low prestige connected with their occupation. The thesis also presents and describes in detail the factors based on analysis of interviews which emerged in connection with low self-esteem of teachers in terms of prestige as a major. This mainly concerns the relatively low income and the related lower standard of living, which forces teachers to have a secondary income. Furthermore, the analysis showed that teachers low self-esteem is affected by alleged lower difficulty of faculties of education, difficult assesment of work results and underastimated difficulty of work from the publics point of view. Not forgetting the little influence of educational unions and the lack of professional organizations that defend the interests of teachers. Motivation of High School Students for School Work

Many secondary school teachers are currently facing students' lack of interest in the subjects taught. Research findings have also repeatedly shown that students' motivation for school work decreases as the length of the studies increases. Furthermore, students' level of motivation reaches a very low level during adolescence despite the fact that many of them make choices regarding their future careers. This thesis focuses on the relation between the motivation of students for school work and the attitudes and skills of teachers - their educational styles, and whether the relationship between students and them is positive or negative. The theoretical part of this paper introduces and describes the above mentioned concepts - educational styles and motivation - or more precisely, what kinds of motivation there are, and how these affect not only the learning process itself, but also the performance, results, and performance goals, all of which are closely linked. The practical part consists of a research investigation focused on verifying the link between students' motivation for school work and the educational styles used by their teachers.
