Parental co- decision making options in the Step By Step programme.

This thesis deals with the issue of parents' participation in their children's education in the Step by Step programme in the first stage of primary school. The educational phenomenon of parental co-decision as one of the forms of cooperation with the family and as an important factor enhancing the effectiveness of pupils' education is presented in the theoretical part. The theoretical part of this thesis draws knowledge from both Czech and foreign literature. The theoretical part is followed by the research part, which is designed as qualitative research. The aim of the research is to find out how parents and teachers understand the phenomenon of co- decision and focuses on their feedback, based on their previous experiences. In addition to the advantages and benefits, the thesis also points out the weaknesses and critical points of co- decision. The practical part also includes an interview with a first stage primary school teachers, dealing with the Step by Step programme and the cooperation between parents and school through the Step by Step Methodology Centre. The interviews are based on the teachers' own practice and experience. Possibilities of inclusive education within the 1st stage of primary school

The thesis entitled "Possibilities of Inclusive Education in Primary School" discusses inclusive education with a closer look at its application in primary school. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on defining the concept of inclusion and terms related to it, introduces the background and principles of inclusive education and describes international conventions and national regulations that are central to the application of inclusion in the Czech environment. The thesis shows the principles of implementation of inclusive education in the Czech Republic and offers possibilities of evaluating the pro-inclusiveness of education. The second chapter of the theoretical part is devoted to the education of pupils with special educational needs in primary school, presents the system of education of these pupils and focuses on the actors in inclusive education - pupils, teachers and teaching assistants. The chapter also focuses on the guidance system in the school system and the support measures provided to pupils with special educational needs. The last chapter of the theoretical part characterises the private school system. Teaching about family at primary school

My dissertation deals with educational area Humans and their world in the first grade of primary school, specifically the family. The theoretical part contains definition of the term family, its function, models, historical development and also analysis of certain textbooks - how the family topic is processed. In practical part I draw from theoretical pieces of knowledge and I monitor in detail the process of three lessons, within specific class taught by specific teacher, using the case study method. The interview with the teacher and the author of the textbook is also important. At the end of my dissertation I compare the textbook authors' and teacher's conception of this educational area and provide several pieces of advice to improve the lessons.
Communication with Children about Death after the Loss Their Close Person in the Context of Curriculum as Well as Their World

The diploma thesis deals with how to talk with children about death after the death of someone close to them, not only in the context of the curriculum, but also their world in general. The thesis is divided into two parts - a theoretical part and an empirical part. The theoretical part is arranged chronologically so that the individual chapters follow each other as best as possible and then create a comprehensive picture of how to communicate appropriately with children about death. The empirical part consists of qualitative research, specifically the research method of semi-structured in-depth interviews. Introduction of teacher-parent-pupil consultations in primary school

The Master's thesis entitled "Implementation of Parent-Teacher-Student Consultations in Primary Education" focuses on the systematic reflection during the implementation of consultations among teachers, parents, and students. The author, in the theoretical part, examines the relationship between the family and the school, along with their collaboration, taking into account the historical development of these institutions. An important aspect is also the exploration of the impact of feedback on students and the positive effects of this interaction on their education and personal growth. In the practical part of the thesis, the author, in the role of a teacher and an active participant, evaluates each cycle of consultations with the aim of advancing her professional development. Through action research, she observes the evolution of her own practice in implementing tripartite consultations. Research questions are posed, and the author reflects on her progress and acquired knowledge through a pedagogical diary. The main objective of the thesis is to enhance the professionalism of teachers and improve the quality of consultation practices. Taking responsibility for one's own learning by primary school learners

The author tries to bring readers closer to the year-long process in which pupils take their educational journey into their own hands. The aim of the diploma thesis is to explore the system of interconnected and supporting steps that contribute to the efficiency of the entire process. In the theoretical part, the author focuses on the main components of the entire system, which support the resulting efficiency and the fulfillment of the goal, their implementation and evaluation with pupils. In the second, empirical part, the author describes, compares and evaluates individual systems at several different schools. In this part, a separate teacher-parent- pupil consultation itself is also evaluated. Conditions for Successful Implementation of CLIL Methodology in Primary School

in English: The aim of this thesis is to explore conditions that enable to implement CLIL methodologies in primary school. In the theoretical part, the CLIL method will be described as an innovative approach in teaching foreign language. We will focus on hard CLIL and teaching CLIL in non- language subjects. Further, we will analyse benefits and perils that can occur while teaching foreign language in non-language subjects. The empirical research will focus on conditions that enable to implement CLIL methodologies in primary school and make it sustainable.
Gordon Model in Practice - an action research

The topic of the thesis is the impact of classroom communication on teaching effectiveness. The theoretical work focuses on the ideas of Thomas Gordon, as described in his book Teacher Effectiveness Training where he discusses the impact of teacher-pupil communication on the educational process and offers communication methods to increase teaching effectiveness. In the theoretical part, I focus on various approaches to communication with pupils and their influence on the motivation to learn. The education objectives as stipulated in the Czech Education Act are the starting point for the theoretical work. The question of how these goals are met leads to Gordon's effective communication methods. These are based on an accepting attitude towards students and supported by the theory of humanistic psychology represented by Carl Rogers. I compare these methods with other pedagogical literature on education. In the practical part, I analyse selected teaching situations as described in my teacher's diary where I recorded real-life situations in which I tried to apply Gordon's effective communication methods and a respectful attitude towards pupils. The thesis deals with the self-evaluation of primary school students. The aim is to find out with what perspective the selected first grade teachers approach pupils' self-assessment. The theoretical part explains the concept of assessment. It lists its functions, forms and types. It focuses more on formative assessment and feedback in relation to self-assessment. It also mentions self-concept, which is closely related to self-assessment. It presents its definition and development with regard to the age focus in the first stage of primary school. It looks more closely at pupils' self-assessment. It focuses on the development of self-evaluation of the individual, its meaning and functions and the conditions for its development in school. It mentions what types of self-assessment are divided into and what methods and techniques can be used. Finally, it highlights the possible risks and pitfalls of pupil self-assessment. The diploma thesis focuses on project-based learning and its implementation in the 4th grade of primary school. The theoretical part deals with creation of project-based learning and its definition. Continues to describe the main features and characteristics, summarises the benefits, highlights the pitfalls that may arise and how to prevent them. In the last section, the characteristics of the younger school-age child are presented and summarized. The aim of the action research is to determine how to appropriately introduce project-based learning in the 4th grade and on what topics. At the same time, to create cooperatively functioning Teams.
