Respecting didactic principles in further education courses

The diploma thesis deals with verification of respecting didactic principles by further education lecturers. The theoretical part contains defining concepts connected with educational process of adults including placing further education in the context of lifelong learning. One of the separate chapters introduces personality of the lecturer. There are the necessary competences for this kind of profession, its description based on data from the National Register of Qualifications and National Profession System and its typology. Except for the lecturer, the diploma thesis also deals with the personality of the learner, its motivation to learn and the possibilities of its approach to participating in learning actions. The rest of the theoretical part contains a list of individual androdidactic principles with their explanation, methods and also trends in adult education in the context of ICT. The practical part focuses on qualitative research investigation aimed at identifying and describing the androdidactic principles which are applied by lecturers during further education courses. Visualization didactic supplies in health education that focuses on the lower secondary education

The work is focused on visual didactic tools for teaching Health Education. It is divided into three parts. The first part deals with the objectives and concept of education. It characterizes what is the subject of Health Education. It focuses on didactic tools, their types, organizational forms, and teaching methods for Health Education. Finally, it specifically focuses on visualizations and visual aids suitable for Health Education teaching. The second part of the work describes the research conducted. The third part of the work contains a description of the created visual aids (comics, sketchnotes, collage) for Health Education teaching. Among other things, you will find prepared lesson plans where specific visual aids are used. The aim of this work was to create a set of visual aids that would help teachers as inspiration for their teaching. Furthermore, the goal was to find out how students work with the created aids, whether they like them, whether they remember the information better when processed in this way, and whether the teaching is more enjoyable with them. These objectives were examined using a quantitative research method, specifically through online questionnaires. Lower secondary school media education: Reflections on available programs and design of new lessons

The aim of the present diploma thesis is to focus on teaching aspects of media education. In the first chapter it defines the term media literacy, presents the conception of this concept by different educational institutions in the international context and compares them with each other. In the next chapter, the Czech concept is introduced and compared with the previous ones. Space is also devoted to the topic of media education, media pedagogy and media andragogy. It is followed by a section dealing with the situation of media literacy in Czech schools in the light of surveys conducted, which focuses on their conclusions. In the next part, the thesis maps the didactic foundations for teaching media education, focusing on two projects dedicated to it. It presents their introduction and compares two specific programmes. It also presents an overview of several other projects that offer didactic support to teachers in teaching media education. On the basis of the identified gaps in the Czech concept of media education, a lesson designed for upper elementary pupils is proposed. The effect of temperature on plant growth: teaching protocols of model experiments

This diploma thesis is focused on the creation of model tasks (by means of an experiment) for the study of biology at secondary schools and concerns the effects of temperature on plant growth. The selected tasks utilize the new didactic approach by means of the so called inquiry based education. This method of teaching contributes to the development of individual deduction reasoning and encourages the students to actively think about the subject matter. The thesis provides the necessary theoretical background for the topic together with the description of methods and material needed for the conducting the experiments. Furthermore, the thesis describes the necessary instructions and procedures to conduct the experiment and its use in the secondary school teaching practice and presents the requisite methodical guidelines and worksheets for them. Simultaneously, the thesis verifies the didactic applicability of the experiment and the worked out materials through a questionnaire survey and monitored application of the model tasks at secondary schools. Didactic Methods used in Botany Teaching at Elementary Schools Diploma thesis concerns the topic of utilizing didactic methods in the education of botanic at the grammar schools. The thesis is divided into three parts. In the first part, there are described chosen didactic methods and current classification of botanic in the "General education programme of the basic education system". Furthermore, there is described past classification of the botanic in the "Education programme of Grammar school, General school and National school". Second part contains questionnaire results - pupils and teachers of botanic in the 7. grade of grammar school. The goal of the questionnaire was to find out, which teaching methods are used during the education of botanic, which methods are popular and unpopular with teachers as well as students and which methods are, according to the opinions of the teachers, effective and ineffective. Other goal of the questionnaire was to find out, if the teachers are using education programmes during lessons. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first deals with the theoretical view of the vocational education, its development and specifics. The next section describes the differences between education of adults and children. Then the work is focused on the personality of the lector and didactic process, its aims, methods, forms and tools. To conclude the theoretical part summarizes the principle of feedback. The second part is summarized of research where respondents are lectors themselves. From research we know how much are they competent to exercise the profession of lecturers from the point of view of teaching, respectively didactic. The research used the questionnaire with closed and open questions.

Preferences in key elements of a didactic process of non-formal education of adult learners from the perspective of age cohorts

4 Abstract The aim of this bachelor thesis is to identify preferences in key elements of the didactic process, namely in didactic forms, didactic methods, teacher roles, teaching aids, didactic technology and seating arrangements, at those adults, who have been participating in at least one non-formal educational activity in the last twelve months, depending on the age cohort they belong to. Based on relevant educational literature, the first three chapters cover a description of a didactic process and its key areas, material and non-material didactic means, which are further divided into particular elements. In the fourth chapter, there is a definition of the age cohorts and a description of their specifics both in general and in the field of didactics. The fifth chapter is dedicated to a preparation and a realisation of the quantitative questionnaire survey at those members of age cohorts, who have been participating in at least one non-formal educational activity in the last twelve months. Based on these findings, the differences in preferences in key elements of the didactic process at the age cohorts are stated. A description of significant differences in technical preparation of water slalom and canoe sprint in K1 category

Thesis title: A description of significant differences in technical preparation of water slalom and canoe sprint in K1 category. Thesis objective: The objective of the thesis is to determine the main features typical of technical preparation of kayakers in Czech canoeing clubs and to describe possible differences in the preparation of sprint kayakers and water slalom kayakers. Methods of data processing: The work is based on mixed research. The racers and coaches were presented with a questionnaire concerning technical preparation. Collected output was analyzed using the methods of quantitative research and of analytical induction. Results: Several significant differences were detected between the technical preparation of sprint kayakers and water slalom racers. To develop basic kayaking strokes, water slalom racers in mostly younger age categories use other water sports, especially wild water, more frequently. In preparatory exercises sprint racers limit themselves to stroke sequencing. Water slalom racers use a wider range of preparatory exercises to develop basic kayaking stroke. In order to gain feedback, water slalom racers use videorecording analysis several times a month and that not only during technical preparation period.
