Didactical games in teaching of Education for health
Pumprlová, Veronika ; Kovaříková, Miroslava (advisor) ; Záhořová, Karolína (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the issue of including didactic games in teaching, here specifically in the educational field of health education. The reform of Czech education system is constantly being talked about, which should start to focus more on the pupil's activity than on the teacher's activity, and so one of the solutions may be the use of activating teaching methods, which can include the already mentioned didactic games. The theoretical part of the work is devoted to defining the concept of motivation, which is an important part of student activity in school, and its types. Furthermore, readers will get acquainted with the definition of the term teaching methods and their basic division, which is freely followed by a description of activating teaching methods, their classification and the advantages and disadvantages of their use in practise. The work also gets specifically to didactic games, which describes in detail their methodological preparation, further division, but also the principles of using didactic games in teaching. The last part of the theoretical part deals with the approach to the educational field of health education and its didactics in connection with the use of didactics in the teaching of health education. The main goal of the practical part of the work is to find...

The aim of the diploma thesis is to find out how teachers of the 1st stage of elementary schools use different types of methods, especially activation methods, to support pupils in motivation to learn and how they activate them in their learning performances. The theoretical part in the first chapter focuses on the issue of activation methods and organizational forms in terms of defining the concept, objectives, the main reasons for their implementation and classification of these methods. The second chapter characterizes the pupil at a younger school age, his needs and interests, which the teacher tries to fulfill purposefully through teaching methods. It also discusses the relationship between motivation and performance leading to the fulfillment of learning objectives. The last chapter focuses on the teacher's work with activation methods in the classroom, individual problems that may affect the use of teaching methods in the teaching process and factors that affect the motivation of students during lessons. In the practical part of the diploma thesis, I used qualitative research to find out how the teachers of the 2nd and 3rd grades of a selected Prague primary school use various teaching methods to activate pupils and so motivate them to perform. The preparatory phase in the form of action...
Problems of Early Career Teachers with the Use of Activating Methods in Biology Teaching
Ročková, Lucie ; Vojíř, Karel (advisor) ; Hlaváčová, Lucie (referee)
Activating methods are of a great importance in teaching, among other things, in the development of students' independence, their thinking and the formation of social relationships. Strengthening the student's role and emphasizing his/her active work requires a specific approach of teachers, as well as their increased preparation for teaching. Especially beginning teachers have to deal with a number of difficulties when starting their teaching career. However, it has not yet been clearly described how they cope with the use of activating methods. The main goal of this work was to map the problems of beginning teachers using activating methods in natural science at the start of their careers. One of the sub-questions was to find out what would help teachers at the beginning of their teaching practice to include activating methods in teaching with greater certainty and frequency. To answer the research questions, a survey of six beginning primary school natural science teachers was conducted in October and November 2021. Classes were listened to and followed by interviews with individual teachers. The interviews sought opinions on activating methods, on the frequency of their inclusion in teaching and the related problems that teachers face when using these methods. The most frequently mentioned...

The diploma thesis "Creativity of teachers in an educational process in primary school" focuses on creativity of teachers, which is a prerequisite of every teacher in current education. The thesis is divided into two parts; theoretical and practical. The theoretical part focuses on general knowledge, which appertains to the questions of creativity in the work of the pedagogues. In this part, the important factors are also described, which help to lead to the creative approach in the teaching. One of these factors is using activating methods. These represent the main approaches of the pedagogues to teach creatively. The theoretical part is also focused on the position of the teachers in the process of school inclusion and on the appropriate teaching methods and strategies for inclusive education. The practical part focuses on activating methods in teaching. The investigative survey was carried out via questionnaire, and its main objective was to explore the extent of using activating methods by teachers at basic schools. It also looks at whether these methods are considered to be an appropriate instrument to the creative and effective mediation of the curriculum for all pupils, including pupils with special education needs. KEYWORDS Creativity, pedagogue, teacher, creative education, teaching...
Use and effectiveness of activation methods in chemistry education
Pražienka, Miroslav ; Šulcová, Renata (advisor) ; Teplá, Milada (referee)
CHARLES UNIVERSITY IN PRAGUE - Faculty of Science Department of Teaching and Didactics of Chemistry Albertov 3, 128 40 Praha 2, Czech Republic Use and effectiveness of activation methods in chemistry education Bc. Miroslav Pražienka mprazienka@seznam.cz Executed pedagogical survey reflects the requirements of modern pedagogy and didactics - the teacher should have a new approach to teaching, both from a technical standpoint, both in the methods. At present, preparation of future teachers, but also in lifelong adult education teachers, computers are preferred, modern electronics (and everything associated with them) and such methods, where the pupil is actively involved in teaching and not just a passive "recipient". For the purposes of my thesis was, therefore, a wide range of teaching aids (PowerPoint presentations, worksheets, educational teaching games, demonstration experiments, tests, including methodologies and manuals), through which pupils were taught. Before and after instruction was given them knowledge and skills test, which was then evaluated. They were also sampled pupils from other primary schools and the results were compared. At the beginning of the survey were established two hypotheses (knowledge and skills gradually decreases with increasing time from the subject and taught for a...

Activating Methods in Chemistry Supported by Mobile Applications
Andrlíková, Věra ; Teplá, Milada (advisor) ; Šmejkal, Petr (referee)
This thesis deals with activation methods in teaching Chemistry with support of mobile applications. The theoretical part deals with the topic of digital literacy. By analyzing the document Recommendations of the Council of the European Union focusing on key competences for life- long learning, it was concluded that a digital competence is one of their components. Therefore it is highly desirable for schools to include digital technologies in their curricula to develop pupils' skills in using them. In addition, the theoretical part introduces the concepts related to mobile learning and activation teaching methods. Consequnetly, specific mobile applications and activation teaching methods are introduced and used in the practical part. The practical part is devoted to the didactic design of nine activities for teaching Chemistry. The activation of students with the support of monile applications is emphasised in this part of the thesis. All activities have been developed using the CMIARE didactic cycle (goal, method, instruction, action, reflection, evaluation) which brings many elements of formative assessment. All activities were evaluated by a group of selected Chemistry teachers. The evaluations showed that all activities were applicable to teaching Chemistry at the grade level for which they...
Activating methods in education of topic carbohydrates
Kyzlíková, Iva ; Vojíř, Karel (advisor) ; Bílek, Martin (referee)
Activation methods in teaching are nowadays often discussed complementary teaching to classical teaching. Within these methods, emphasis is placed on activating the student, ie on encouraging his interest in the implementation of the activity, but at the same time there is an advantageous opportunity for teachers to influence and specify specific goals to meet the requirements of FEP and SEP. One of the aims of the work was to map the issue of activation methods with a focus on project teaching and research-oriented teaching and to compile a selection of topics for activities that use activation methods with a focus on the topic of carbohydrates in the form of research. Another goal of this work was to design a teaching activity using activation methods on the topic of carbohydrates (a topic in organic chemistry, which is relatively more demanding for students, but no less important) and to verify this activity in a pilot. The design of the activation method with aspects of the project teaching "Getting acquainted with carbohydrates" was actually verified in the 9th grade of Vilémov Elementary School in 2021, within the subject Chemistry. Pupils worked on the activity in groups and the result was five solutions of the activity (projects), of which there were four presentations and one poster....
