Teaching methods of health education

Aim of this diploma thesis is to provide the reader an insight into the subject of health education. Theoretical part of this thesis defines curriculum and subject didactics. Knowledge of these two documents has impact on the efficient preparation of teaching process. Practical part of this thesis defines five lessons teaching with the use of traditional and activation methods. Teaching part is focused on providing first aid. The realization itself took place on Primary school Korenskeho in Prague 5 in June 2021. Teacher's feedback is submitted for each realized educational method and proposal of possible improvements was suggested. Feedback from pupils was carried out by questionnaires. Pupils rated individual educational methods in terms of efficiency, difficulty and attractivity by five degree scale. Thirty seven pupils from two sixth grades participated in the survey. Collected data from survey were presented in graphs. Results show that pupils prefer learning with activation elements. The most pupular activities among the pupils were training in bandaging and contest Jeopardy. Analysis showed there is a dependency between effectivity and attractivity of the used methods. Output of this thesis is suggestion of preparations of individual lessons and their verification in practice.
Czechoslovakia under communist totalitarianism in film and series and their use for education

This diploma thesis focuses on the appropriate and effective use of film and serial adaptations of topics falling into the period of communist totalitarianism in Czechoslovakia (that is between 1948 and 1989, with emphasis on the period 1948-1969). The thesis is divided into four chapters, whereas the main part, which is didactic, is described in the third and fourth chapter. The first chapter describes the basic historical context of the communist government in Czechoslovakia between 1948 and 1989. It also shows and explains the origin of the idea of communism, the further development of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia during the First Republic, and the postwar Third Republic. This chapter was put together using found edited sources and secondary literature. The second chapter deals with individual film and serial processing of topics related to the period. It presents specific films and series which were produced in the most recent years (or the post-revolutionary period), but also materials produced during the totalitarianism before 1989. In this chapter some works are discussed in greater detail, others are presented as selected alternative options for interaction for educational purposes. Drama-Based Science Teaching

The master thesis deals with Drama-Based Science Teaching. The theoretical part of the work deals with the literature research on the topic. It presents basic information about dramatization methods, sets straight the record on some common misconceptions and categorizes dramatization methods. Furthermore the fundamental role of plays and simulations in the learning is discussed. Research also provides evidence that dramatization methods can be and should be included in science teaching. They are suitable e.g. for the implementation of key competencies and teaching of Cross-Curricular Subjects as defined by The Framework Educational Programme (for Secondary General Education). Finally, specific examples of dramatization methods are shown, and the benefits and pitfalls of these methods are discussed. Practical part describes a dramatization teaching material created by the author. The topic is alcohols with a focus on pupils' understanding the formation of methanol and ethanol and the difference between these two. This material was tested on the sample of about 150 high school pupils in Prague. There is also author's solution as well as several pupils' worksheets included. The Topic of Interhuman Relationships through Children's Heroes in Children's Literature

The subject of this thesis is introduction of interpersonal relationships theme to pre-school age children. The aims of this work are: a) To introduce books with interpersonal relationships themes intended for pre-school age children. b) To ascertain if and in what way is this theme used in pre-school setting and where the pre-school educators take inspiration from when choosing quality literature for children. c) To propose, realise and reflect on activities (connected to chosen books with interpersonal relationships themes introduced through a child hero) which develop the key competencies of pre-school children related to reading. The practical part was built on data collection through online questionnaire for teachers; the aim was to ascertain whether interpersonal relationships topics are used in practice when working with books in pre-school setting and where the educators find inspiration when searching for this type of literature intended for pre-school children. This Master's thesis discusses the Problem - based learning as one of the constructive teaching concept methods, it's position in the system of teaching methods and the possible uses in primary school regard to the key competencies of solving the problems. This theme is very actual because of the influence in the real life. The objectives of the Master's thesis is to define the basic concept of the Problem-based learning (problem, problematic situations, types of the problematic tasks and the way of their solving), key competencies and appropriate organizational forms of the teaching. The possibilities of music therapy use in the framework of primary education

THE ABSTRACT This diploma thesis aims to analyse the use of music therapy techniques as means to reduce the manifestations of attention deficit disorders. Furthermore, it deals with the application of said supportive measures in the framework of bullying prevention and its pathological effects. It also focuses on ways music therapy can be instrumental in a pupil's personal and social growth. In the theoretical part, the Framework Educational Programme for Elementary Education is introduced as one of the key changes in primary education in the framework of curricular reform. The chapter also addresses the topic of inclusive education, supportive measures and key competencies. Later on, music therapy is the subject of interest. Its methods, specializations and possibilities of use are listed. The chapter Specific learning and behavioural disorders introduces specific disorders, concentrating in detail on dyslexia, mutism, ADHD and ADD. Applying the Competence Model in the Public Business Academy

The thesis deals with the use of competences and competency model as an effective tool of personnel management of the organization. Competency - based / HR / Management (CBM) is an actively used model primarily in the commercial sphere. However, in recent years, more and more government organizations have also approached this governance model. The theoretical and empirical part of the thesis deals with the issue of acquiring and using various types of competencies, compiling a competency model and their subsequent application in personnel management. The definition of basic terms and principles of competency management is based on the study of professional literature and binding documents that link the principles of competence management to the lifelong learning strategy and learning organization models. The empirical part first deals with the actual use of competencies and competency models in the conditions of public business academies in Prague and Central Bohemia. It describes the current state of use of human resources management by competency of the director of public business academies in the region.
