Plant Alkaloids - Integration in the Curriculum of Thematic Area "Plant Biology" for Grammar School

The presented master thesis is focused on an integration of plant alkaloids' curriculum into education process at eight-year grammar schools or their equivalent at primary and secondary schools. The aims of the thesis are to provide a basic data about plant alkaloids, to specify an integration of the plant alkaloids into the curricular documents and to select specific and suitable methods for teaching of the alkaloid topic at schools. These teaching methods were practically verified at the Karel Čapek's Grammar School at Dobříš by using author's proposals of the school lesson, the project teaching and laboratory exercises. In the terms of benefits for students, it has been verified that the teaching of plant alkaloids using the teaching project and the laboratory exercises, can be performed more efficiently than those during an "ordinary" school lesson. Project Education in the Lessons of Czech Language and Literature at a Higher Level of Czech Primary School and at a Secondary School

This theses concern with project-based learning with an emphasis on the subject Czech language and literature on higher level of czech primary school and secondary schools. It's purpose is to comprehend ideas of this teaching method and current state of its use, as well as to prepare analysis of chosen projects (or project ideas for teaching) in the Czech language and literature. The final goal of this thesis is to design own projects, which could be used by teachers in their praxis. Theses thus consists of two parts. The first on is theoretical and focuses on project-based learning in general, the history of project-based learning, it's planning and preparation. The second part, which is empirical, describes on a qualitative level and critically evaluates some projects and suggests own projects too. This theses could provide valuable material for both experienced and novice teachers in the preparation and implementation of project education at Czech schools. Use of techniques and methods of drama development of social communication of preschool children in a long-term project "What my hand has seen"

Jiřina Hovorková: The thesis examines the use of different methods and techniques with respect to drama education within the framework of a long term project seeking to develop and underpin social skills of a selected group of children in preparatory grade. The theoretical part of the thesis concentrates on characteristics of children in the preparatory grade age from a development perspective, methods and techniques of drama education, whilst another chapter is devoted to the curiculum education system, a further chapter covers project education. The practical part of the thesis endeavoured to compare the level of social skills between agroup of children which had integrated disabled children and another group of ordinary children in prepatory grade. Another objective of the thesis was to motivate children to creatively collaborate with respect to the creation of a tactile book and a CD entry.
Project method at primary school

The diploma thesis: "Project method at primary school" deals with the development of new knowledge and skills through the project method, analysis of the quality of its use and possibilities of its application in practice. The work discusses how teachers work on projects with new information, how they develop new knowledge and skills of their students when using the project method. Furthermore it brings author's own project the purpose of which was to allow students to invent new knowledge on their own. The project method at the first school can be carried out by either short-term or long-term projects. Effectivity and quality of teaching is influenced by versatile development of personality of each student. Results of the questionnaire survey proves that the teachers are trying to ensure students enough opportunities for development of key competencies. They strive to put students in the working mood and try to build rich information background. Teachers knowingly consider these aspects however they are not convinced whether it is sufficient for the students. Results of student questionnaire captures how students perceive the work with new information acquired during the project. This diploma work Addicted Substances - project for the lower secondary school is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The aim of this work is giving information about addicted drugs and method of teaching by form of projects, proposing and realization of project with this topic, which could be used for other teachers. Theoretical part is intent on summary of question of addicted substances, where the terms addicted substances, abuse of addicted drugs - its symptoms or risks, causes of drugs addiction and some terms, what are connected with this question (e.g. habit, tolerance, addiction, syndrome of abstinence), are clarified. In this work, there are also mentioned division of these substances in more points of views, character of chosen addicted substances, where is described basic division according to availability - legal and illegal drugs. Representatives or categories of addicted substances, their characteristic and effects on human organism, are mentioned within this dividing. The thesis explores possibilities of linking the symbolic frameworks and project method into a functional complex, which would enrich education. The reason of connection can be mainly found in strengthening the internal motivation of pupils and in bringing themes coming from the world of children into education as well.

The author builds the Diploma Thesis called "The Formation of Educational Framework with the Musical Culture in Podblanicko Region Theme" on her Bachelor Thesis called "The Heritage of Jan Dismas Zelenka in the Contemporary Life in Podblanicko Region". She engages in composer Jan Dismas Zelenka, in his legacy and commemorates his life and work mainly in the festival "Podblanický hudební podzim" which takes place every year. The author focuses on contemporary Educational System which has been considerably changing for last several years. Educational reform along with innovating Educational Framework for primary schools came into effect in September 2007.
