The thesis Political marketing and political communication as a tool of government policy focuses on the topic of using political communication and political marketing by national government's and politicians. First part of thesis interduces theoretical framework for the political communication, political marketing, political public relations, permanent campaigns and branding. Second part focus on topic of govermental commnunication, third part of thesis interduces some case studies, primarily focused on the Czech Republic with an emphasis of the campaigns of the Government of the Czech Republic.

Advisory Bodies and Expertise in the Czech Politics - Epistemic Communities and the Influence on the Reforms of Higher Education and Pension System Master thesis Bc. Kateřina Merklová The Master thesis Advisory Bodies and Expertise in the Czech Politics - Epistemic Communities and the Influence on the Reforms of Higher Education and Pension System concerns with the relation between politics and expertise. So-called epistemic community represents the knowledge interpreter that we consider an independent actor in the political process. In the theoretical part of the text, we have explained the original definition of the concept as well as its critics and case studies that cover various contexts. Following most of the authors, we have applied a looser definition of the concept and deconstructed its rigid criteria. The empirical part of the thesis presents a case study (N=4) based on comparative methods that analyzes variable influence of four particular epistemic communities (the authors of the White Paper on Tertiary Education, Bezdek's Committee, Bezdek's Committee II, and the National Economic Council) on policy-making process and its sources. Tomas Ricka Stránka 1 Title: The influence of public policy on legal order of Czech Republic during transition Abstract: The thesis deals with public policy, its key components and influences on the institutional environment. The major aim of the thesis was to analyze, what was the influence of public (economic) policy in transition on the creation of rules in the Czech Republic. Who created the policy? How was the policy conducted? What was the role of the rules? What was the international context in that era? What was the influence of these external factors on the development in the Czech Republic. Other goals of the thesis dealt with the following: availability of suitable tools to analyze transition; key assumptions of public policy; rule making; the role of rule makers. The thesis does not attempt to describe all relevant approaches from modern economic theory that would be useful to analyze the transition processes. The thesis uses a selection of tools that can help to analyze institutions and rules in society from another view, than does standard legal theory or political science. Public budgets as a tool of control of public policies

Diploma thesis "Public budget as a tool of control of public policies" discusses the relationship of public and budgetary policy and the possibility of using public budgets as a tool to control public policy with using budgeting methods, respectively systems of allocation of public resources. The aim of the thesis is to identify how the use of the means of public budget, whether it is used as a tool to control public policy and how it is in this area the legislative framework. Another objective is to identify real (political) work in practice and whether it corresponds to the present legislative framework. The diploma thesis focuses primarily on the state budget as the most important budget from the budget system of Czech Republic. These phenomena I examined on the basis of document analysis, analysis of the theoretical journal of the Ministry of Defence Military Perspectives and on the basis of interviews with the staff of Economic Section of the Ministry of Defence. The main conclusion of the diploma thesis is that there is a formal attempt to use the state budget as a tool of control of government policies, which differs from its real use. Participation of Sokolov Inhabitants in the Municipal Civil Administration

The thesis "Participation of Sokolov Inhabitants in the Municipal Civil Administration" deals with participation and political culture in the town and gives us results to what measure both participial political culture and collective social capital influence the participation of inhabitants. There was a relationship of participation, trust, bridging social capital and a participatory political culture demonstrated by relational analysis in this thesis. There are formulated recommendations for local government based on gained knowledge. These recommendations state how to use the participation of inhabitants in city government more effectively.
Public policy of sects and new religious movements in the Czech Republic - Stakeholders analysis.

This work addresses the issue of sects and new religious movements from the perspective of public policy of Czech Republic, namely its relevant people involved in the field of policy making. In the first part we learn more about the definitions of the term sect, new religious movements and public policy from the terminological development to the definition within the scope of work. It also includes legal definitions, how does the Czech Republic operate with them. The second part is focused on the characteristics of pulic policy - places, people involved, tools and process - as and indispensable part of creation. Emphasis is placed on the analysis of people involved who are involved in this work and arrange for its subsequent implementation. Each person involved is described in terms of the characteristics of the issue, of its function in public policy, of the evaluation of the existing work and of the interest, influence and position they have in this issue.
Evaluation as a part of the public policy process

The diploma thesis "Evaluation as part of the public policy process" deals with the evaluation as an essential part of the public policy cycle. Its aim is to verify whether the evaluation takes place in practice, as defined in public policy theories and evaluate approach to evaluation at the level of the Operational Programme Human Resources and Employment. Properly should it be evaluation of the impacts, 3E principles should be observed and the results of evaluations should take into account in other cases. While processing I used the method of analysis of secondary data and methods of in-depth interviews. The conclusion is that the evaluation of projects supported at the level of the OP HRE is not proceeding at all, exists in part at the program level.

The study of public policy encompasses all approaches that are engaged in research of public policy. In the issue of public policy study is attention focused, in explorative way, on development of public policy study. This aim is pursued from moderate constructivist positions at two levels. At the first, theoretical, level, it is interested in question how to study the development of public policy study. It attempts to formulate general analytical frame which could be used as a comparative grid as well. Indicators and benchmarks as a tool of the EU education policy

Vladimír Hulík: Indikátory a benchmarky jako nástroj vzdělávací politiky EU 2 Abstract This Diploma Thesis focuses on the issue of indicators and benchmarks in the European education policy. Theoretical concepts linked with these questions are introduced in the first part - the theory of europeanization, open method of coordination, theory of benchmarking (especially focused on the public sector) and politics of indicators as a critical eye in this field. In the second part, the historical development of the European education policy is described and the growth of its importance during the last 20 years. Three iniciatives of the European education policy are identified in which the indicators and benchmarking methods are used. The last part aims to study mutual relations among indicators (for which the benchmarks are set) through the use of the correlation matrix (Pearson's correlation).
