Kariérní poradenství hledá nejen optimální spojení jedinec-práce, ale také pomáhá jedinci prozkoumat a sledovat jeho profesní a osobní zájmy, stejně jako ho učí být manažerem vlastní profesní kariéry. Praxe kariérního poradenství nabízí pomocnou ruku jedinci v jeho potřebě hledání optimálního pracovního uplatnění v průběhu celého jeho života. Neméně významná je funkce kariérního poradenství v rukou státu, jakožto nástroje snižování dopadů nejistot trhu práce na nejohroženější skupiny jedinců. Dalšího významu kariérní poradenství nabývá v práci personalistů, pracovníků outplacementu a poradců pracujících se specifickými skupinami. The Family Influence over Choosing an Occupation of Elementary School Pupils

RESUME The times based on one individual's decision about which school to study to be able to choose further continuous and smooth career path has been over. As a result of current global and local social changes everybody should be prepared to the every possible change in career. Nevertheless the first choice of career is still an important milestone and can direct the individual career, but it is not the only key milestone, that determines the individual career once and for ever. People in contemporary world should be able to respond quickly to constant changes, evaluate new situations and be able to make the right decisions. The widespread myth is that success means to raise money as quickly as possible to guarantee the freedom and happiness. But a real success is a contented life, which is a long way over such values as for example certainty that we are doing the work that we like and which fills us with satisfaction. Individual goal is to focus on the abilities and skills so that the decision directs to such a career path where one will be able to optimally exploit one's potential in a future career. Volunteering as the Way to Start a Career

The influence of volunteering on the career of young people in the Czech environment represents an unexplored area of research. This diploma thesis is searching for the answer if volunteering experience and competencies acquired during volunteer activities can affect the start of a career of young people. Particular attention is also paid to social capital and to persons whose activities in the organization push volunteers forward in a professional sense and share new contacts useful for career. The theoretical basis includes the theory of social capital, signal theory, career path theory, and career anchor theory. Design work is qualitative research. The source of the data are semi- structured interviews with ten participants who have experience in volunteering and currently can provide their own opinion on the impact of volunteering on their careers. Thesis Career Counseling, as a part of a general system of counseling at high schools, deals with diverse approaches towards professional preparation at high schools. Any help, with making a right decision of choosing a career or continuing in studies, is undoubtedly an important source for each person at high school and has been occupying this distinctive role in education. This thesis is trying to bring about the changing of the position of Career Counselor's within the school system, in a general system of counseling. The goal of this thesis is to cover the various subjects' conception of counselors at high schools and also trying to entitle their targets in connection with reality. At the end there will be given a description and clarification of three different high schools (each with different cultural and social-economic conditions) and their correspondences towards Career counseling in cooperation with the content analyses of the subjects' conceptions of Career counseling.
Motivation of Students in Occupational Choices

This bachelor thesis deals with internal and external motivation of pupils at the end of compulsory school attendance at elementary school, when pupils choose secondary school or apprenticeship for their future career they want to pursue. The aim of this work was to find out what factors are involved in the decision of this pupil. The text is divided into two basic parts - theoretical, where it is pointed out those factors that influence the future steps of pupils towards their further growth the choice of profession at the same time. It is outlined here which kinds of motivation are important for pupils for their advancement, development of pupil personality for professional focus. The second practical part is focused on the specific realized research concerning of the selection of a secondary school or a secondary vocational school in primary school pupils of the 9th class of two primary schools in Prague. The questionnaire method was chosen for research, when selected pupils checked anonymously, for data protection, or created answers to conceived questions that were partly closed, partly open. Providing of career counselling to pupils with special educational needs

The bachelor thesis is divided into theoretical part and research part. The theoretical part of the work itself has three parts in its content. In the first part you will find information about the education of pupils with special educational needs, important legislation, information about support measures, and about school counselling facilities. The second part is focused on the different types of learning disabilities, the assessment of pupils with learning disabilities, how to diagnose them and how to support them during lessons. At the end of the theoretical part there is a section devoted to career counselling because it is associated with the research of my bachleor thesis. At the centre of attention are the methods of the career advisor, his competences, information about the clients and also the activities of the advisor. The research section is focused on the experience of career counselors, educational consultant. Motivation of career counsellors for further professional education

The aim of this thesis is to find out what motivation career counsellors have for further professional education. Based on these findings, recommendations have been formulated to overcome obstacles or barriers to such motivation. The theoretical part presents the importance of adult education, which has an impact on the quality of counselling services offered by schools. This thesis also represents the main strategic documents of the Czech Republic, which are related to career counselling. Thesis defines the position of a career counsellor in school and educational counsellor, the qualification exam according to the National qualifications system, a study of an educational counsellor and a new university study program for career counsellors. It also introduces the possibilities and forms of further education in the field of career counselling. The empirical part is based on qualitative data in the form of controlled interviews with thirteen counsellors at schools located in the Ústí and Labem region. The results of the research survey based on respondents' answers pointed out that school counsellors were motivated to further their education by the directors of schools and that they had their own internal motivation to provide professional services.
Best practices of career guidance in lower secondary schools

This diploma thesis focuses on career guidance in primary and mainly lower secondary schools. The goal of the thesis is to identify and describe the best practices of career guidance from the perspective of a lower secondary school career or educational counsellor, and also from the perspective of the education system. The theoretical part fulfills this goal by describing inspirational approaches to career guidance in selected European countries (Finland, England and France). Using in-depth semi-structured interviews, the research part examines and describes the work of six career guidance facilitators at four lower secondary schools and one upper secondary school, which were purposefully selected as possible examples of best practice. The outcome of the thesis is a detailed insight into the attitudes and approaches to career guidance of the selected respondents, description of 36 unique career guidance activities, and a set of both systemic and specific recommendations for improving the state of career guidance in lower secondary schools. Although the work is focused on lower secondary schools, its outputs are also applicable to upper secondary schools.
