The diploma thesis deals with the speech therapy prevention for the pupils in the beginning of school attendance. It is based on theoretical knowledge in this field and linked to research. A part of the diploma thesis and the research survey is an author's guide for teachers which aims to improve the ability to analyse pupil's speech and deficits in the language levels and to focus on its development. The aim of the diploma thesis is to motivate first grade teachers to a targeted and comprehensive analysis of their students' speech and to verify whether the guide for teachers is a suitable tool for improving this competence. The theoretical part defines the concept of communication and deals with speech as a complex ability in their four language levels. Mmultidisciplinary care with the focus on speech and swallowing disorders provided to patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis

The diploma thesis is focused on the issue of acquired dysarthric and swallowing disorders in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and on multidisciplinary care provided to patients with this disease. Theoretical part of the thesis is divided into three chapters. The introductory chapter presents a summary of current knowledge about amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). The following two chapters are dedicated to dysarthria and dysphagia and their specifics in ALS. The practical part of the diploma thesis is represented by the fourth chapter which incorporates a research survey focused on multidisciplinary care provided to patients with ALS. The primary aim of the research is to evaluate the multidisciplinary care provided to two selected patients with ALS with a focus on speech and swallowing disorders. The secondary objectives of the research relate to the evaluation of the extent of acquired dysarthric and swallowing disorders of these patients, providing a comprehensive overview of the course and content of the provided care and gathering information to create information brochure for patients with ALS and caregivers. Diagnostics of Auditory Memory in Preschool Children

This master thesis is dedicated to the importance of diagnostics of auditory memory in preschool children in means of determining school readiness. The theoretical part of this thesis contains an elaborate description of the somatic, cognitive and social development of preschool children. The second chapter concerns memory in general, categorizing auditory memory in the whole system and description of its individual modalities. It is also briefly mentioned how auditory memory is affected by the presence of specific language impairment in children. The third chapter describes school readiness. There are individual areas of focus described which affect school readiness, methods of diagnostics and how deficits in auditory memory are related to future poor reading and writing. The last chapter of the theoretical section summarizes diagnostic materials which asses auditory memory in preschool children and which are available in the Czech Republic as well as foreign countries. Speech and Language Therapy Field Care for People with Dysphagia

The diploma thesis deals with the topic of field language and speech therapy for people with dysphagia. The work is divided into four chapters, while the first three define the theoretical framework of the work, the fourth chapter is empirical. The introductory chapter provides an insight into the physiology of swallowing and the anatomy of the orofacial area. The following chapter is devoted to the issue of dysphagia. The final theoretical chapter offers an insight into speech therapy intervention in patients with dysphagia. The fourth chapter presents a mixed design of a research survey focusing on the provision of field speech therapy care for people with dysphagia in the Czech Republic. The main goal of the research survey was to analyze the provision of this care in our country. This was followed by setting partial goals of the work and research questions. Within them, the work tries to analyze the specifics and barriers to the provision of field speech and language therapy care for patients with dysphagia. Grammar Skills of Children at the Beginning of School Attendance

The diploma thesis deals with speech and language therapeutic issues. It follows children's speech and language development mainly from morphological - syntactic level. It focuses on grammar skills of children at the beginning of school attendance that are evaluated by a newly developed diagnostic material named Test gramatiky pro školní začátečníky, ie Grammar test for school beginners. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with language ontogenesis and development of language levels with a focus on morphological - syntactic level and its diagnostic. It describes grammar issues in detail, its development as well as diagnostic materials used in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland. The third chapter presents various diagnosis related to the research where the grammar language level was observed. Particular attention is dedicated to specific language impairment. The empirical part of the thesis represents quantitative research. It evaluates, on a sample of 170 children, practical use of the new test, which is focused on the grammar language level. The diploma thesis deals with the issue of diagnosis of phatic disorders. The aim of this work is to provide insight into the topic of phatic disorders, especially by introducing diagnostic tests that are used in the Czech Republic and some available materials that are used in English- speaking countries. Individual diagnostic tests are processed on the basis of an analysis of professional literature in Czech and English. The diploma thesis is theoretical and is divided into four parts. The first chapter describes the impaired communication ability, aphasia in terms of definition, etiology, symptomatology and classification approaches. The topic of the thesis is the development of phonematic hearing in children with impaired verbal communication skills, utilizing the method of Danil Boršovič Eľkonin. It deals with the training of language skills for selected kindergarten children with special needs. The thesis is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. It summarizes theoretical definitions of basic terms such as language, speech, and communication. It describes disturbed communication abilities and its classification, it deals more with the characteristic of developmental dysphasia. It also deals with the concepts of phonetics and phonology, describes phonematic hearing and phonematic awareness. Last but not least, it outlines D.B. Elkonin's personality and his methodology. The practical part is of a qualitative character, which will give us access to the analysis of methodological procedures that we chose for this analysis. This work deals with the topic of communication skills of pupils with specific learning disabilities. It is divided into theoretical and practical part and consists of four chapters. In the first chapter, the author deals with specific learning disabilities, attention is paid mainly to four types of specific learning disabilities, namely dyslexia, dysgraphia, dysortography and dyspraxia. The second chapter belongs to the language levels. The third chapter is devoted to the issues of language acquisition by a child. The fourth chapter describes the research itself, which was carried out for this thesis. The research is of a qualitative nature and its main goal is to analyze the communication skills of pupils with specific learning disabilities with a focus on language levels. Parents of Children with Developmental Language Disorder from the perspective of speech therapy intervention

The diploma thesis is from the area of special pedagogy and speech therapy. It deals with the issue of parenthood of children with developmental dysphasia. The thesis is devided into two parts, the theoretical part and the empirical part. The thesis starts with characterisation of the family with disabilities and continues with further developmental dysphasia, its terminology, classification, etiology, symptomatology, diagnostics and therapy are characterized. The thesis defines the possibilities of speech therapy intervention in children with special impaired speech developmental dyspshasia. This main goal is achieved by research. This diploma thesis can be an inspiration for speech therapists and other professionals who work with families and their children with developmental dysphasia. It can also inspire students and other parents even whose child has been diagnosed with this disease. The thesis may be the starting point for further studies of a scientific character that focus on same subject.
