Role of teaching assistant at primary school with Montessori program

This bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of the role of teacher assistant in a primary school classroom with Montessori program, focusing on the inclusion of pupils with special educational needs and on the position of a teacher assistant in Montessori learning environment. We defined the education of pupils with special educational needs, including the most frequent diagnoses we encounter during the research. The whole paper is grounded in the legislation of the Czech Republic in the field of primary education. The paper also describes alternative education and its most common varieties and includes the characteristics of the education following Maria Montessori philosophy. This part is dedicated to the principles of the Montessori method, to the role of a Montessori teacher, to the characteristics of the classroom environment as well as to the teaching organisation, including teaching forms and methods. The presented work deals with the question of achieving financial literacy in pupils with hearing impairment, as one of the important areas of development of civic competencies for life in today's society. The main part of the work is the presentation of the results of a research survey aimed at determining the level of financial literacy in the target group of 15-18-year-old students with hearing impairments who study at secondary schools established for students with hearing impairments in the Czech Republic and their comparison with the results of non-disabled students who were included in PISA financial literacy testing. The research was conducted on three levels. Proven tools from international testing for the quantitative part of the survey and standardized psychological tests were selected, along with school registry data for the part that addresses the qualitative characteristics of pupils. Subsequent analysis of the obtained data served to verify the hypotheses what affects the achieving financial literacy in pupils with hearing impairment. The goal of the diploma work is to demonstrate the possibilities of montessori education elements implementation into the education of the children with autism spectrum disorders in the preparatory form of the special elementary school. This is performed on the basis of the theoretical knowledge gained by the specific material study and by using the methods of the inspiring practice. The theoretical part has three chapters. It deals with the subject of the persons with mental disorder and is mainly focused on the children with the autism spectrum disorders. It describes the autism spectrum disorders, their etiology, diagnosis and the intervention options for people with the autism spectrum disorders. It is dedicated also to the education of children and pupils with the autism spectrum disorders and the mental disorder within the preparatory form of the special elementary school. The employment of people with hearing disabilities

This bachelor thesis deals with the employment of people with hearing impairments from the perspective of their employers. The introductory chapters of the theoretical part contain an introduction to the issue of hearing impairment and the classification of hearing impairments according to the place of origin, time of origin and degree of disability. This part is devoted to communication and auditory-oral and visual-motor communication systems, it also describes the individual manifestations of people with hearing impairment and interpreting services. The conclusion of the theoretical part of the discussion of the employment of people with hearing impairments, the problems and the possibilities of solving the support of people with hearing impairments in the labor market. The practical part deals with a qualitative research investigation on the employment of people with hearing impairments. The present diploma thesis examines the support of reading literacy in pupils with specific learning disabilities. Theoretical chapters are engaged in defining the specific learning disorders, aetiology of the same, individual types of learning disabilities, diagnostics and options of re-education and intervention. Further, the theoretical part delves into the educational system and legislation in the Czech Republic, primary education centred around the framework educational programme for this level of education, inclusion and advisory systems in schools and school advisory facilities. In addition, reading literacy is characterized, along with the factors affecting the same, options of support of reading literacy in pupils with specific learning disorders - for the individual types of disorders, teaching methods of reading skills. The diploma thesis deals with intervention approaches used in the educational system of foreigners and pupils of younger school age with a different mother tongue. It focuses on the position of pupils with a different mother tongue in the Czech educational system and their schooling. It also refers to the concept of migration and presents the current legislation applied in the education of pupils with a different mother tongue. The thesis introduces the organizations that provide support to children with a different mother tongue during their primary school studies. It also mentions support, supporting measures, intervention approaches and strategies for an inclusive approach. Changes in communication strategies among people with hearing disabilities during the COVID-19 pandemic

The bachelor thesis is focused on individuals with hearing impairment and changes in their communication since the COVID-19 pandemic arrived and consequential safety measures were imposed. The thesis is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part. In the theoretical part, the terminology and areas, which are necessary in order to understand the given issue, are defined. The first chapter is mostly concerned with defining hearing, hearing impairment and various approaches to people with hearing impairment. The second chapter introduces a general view on interpersonal communication, particular communication characteristics of people with hearing impairment and choices they have which can help them communicating with the rest of the society. Written Texts of Czech Deaf

The topic of the dissertation is the communication of the deaf in written Czech. The theoretical part presents the studies of written Czech for the deaf which have been carried out in the Czech Republic so far, considers the causes of difficulties the deaf encounter when making Czech written texts, and deals with the position of written Czech in the education of the deaf. The next part is devoted to the Czech sign language, the characteristics of its specifics and its role in the communication and education of deaf pupils, especially in connection with the currently valid legislation. Attention is also focused on the components and construction of narrative texts and on the acquisition of narrative competencies in spoken and sign languages. The research part is focused on the qualitative analysis of narrative texts in Czech, the authors of which are deaf pupils of two primary schools for the hearing impaired aged 14 to 16, and which were created on the basis of a picture story. Process of reading for pupils with dyslexia at the 2nd level of primary school

The reading process is a demanding cognitive process. With it, we achieve various levels of reading literacy. Pupils with dyslexia face not only problems mastering the reading technique, but also comprehension of the text. The main goal of the diploma thesis is to assess and find out how the learning process of pupils with dyslexia at the second stage of primary school takes place with regard to the reading process, which is weakened in these pupils. The partial goal of the diploma thesis is to find out which methods are used by teachers when working with pupils with dyslexia. The diploma thesis is processed as a qualitative research investigation using the technique of observation of a selected group in the educational process (second grade students), analysis of student documentation and interviews with students, their parents and teachers according to a pre-prepared scenario. The diploma thesis deals with the influence of the use of intervention aids on the educational process of pupils with dyslexia at the second stage of primary school and the suitability of individual aids for intervention in specific cases.
