Title: Research of public opinion on the question of the establishment of a joint Czech and Slovak Ice Hockey League Target task: Researching the current opinion of the Czech public, to the possible establishment of a joint Czech and Slovak League. Methodology: For the above mentioned research I used a quantitative method, in the form of electronic polling. For my research I created a questionnaire using Google Forms tool. A reference to the questionnaire was posted on the website of hockey clubs and social networks that are active within the Czech hockey community. The collection of data took less than two weeks. The obtained data was then processed using computer technology. Results: A total of 1402 individual questionnaires were filled out by participating respondents. In total, 60% of the respondents are against fusion of the Czech and Slovak Hockey Leagues. The main reason is the low attractiveness of the Slovak clubs. On the other hand only 17% of all respondents voted for the fusion of the two hockey leagues. Further the respondent from the capital city of Prague and Ústí region, expressed the gravest concern over the possible joining of the two ice hockey leagues.
