Comparative Analysis of Chemistry Education ( Czech Republic - Scotland)

Education systems of foreign countries are often what inspire us to make these changes. The aim of this thesis is to describe the education system in Scotland and the way chemistry is being taught at secondary schools in this country. Further it tries to compare these to the education system and chemistry teaching in the Czech Republic and consider whether we can adopt any aspects of Scottish education. Apart from analysis of study plans and educational documents, research for this thesis included visits to chemistry lessons at three secondary schools in Scotland and interviews with teachers at these schools. In the text, cultural and historical context of Scotland related to the education system is mentioned briefly. Then the Scottish education system is explained and Chemistry teaching at secondary schools is described from the point of study plans and requirements. Swedish education system and education of immigrants

Due to open immigration policy Sweden is often target destination of non-European immigrants. Because of that Sweden has to force high share number of immigrants in composition of inhabitants and try to make as homogeneous population as possible, which can be noticeably supported by compulsory education. By way of analysis of education system and its documents as well as insight into contemporary situation, this study should help to understand not only the basic ideas of immigrant education, but also consequences, which are brought by dissimilar education of pupils without knowledge of Swedish language, and consider whether all components of that education are of integration or not.

The study focuses on problems which appear to be fundamental in primary school education. The work si centred on reading and readerś literacy in primary school. The work is also focused on issues that seem to be fundamental in European school education and current development of Czech primary school. Subject of this study is to present educational policy and educational system of Germany, Sweden and the United Kingdom, which represent three different types of school structure. It provides a more comprehensive view of the current issues of educational policy - fairness in school education, language training, integration of troubled students, integration of immigrants and the position of teacher. The final section contains an analysis of the results of PIRLS in Germany, Sweden, Great Britain and the Czech Republic.

Autonomy of directors and teachers in the current Chinese educational system Mgr. Radana Wagenknechtová 2015 ABSTRACT This thesis looks at the Chinese educational system and the autonomy that directors and teachers share in the decision making process. It not only examines the educational system as a whole but analyses different levels of the educational system, puts an emphasis on the autonomy of teachers and directors in a school environment, and introduces various school reforms in China since 1976. Consequently, it clarifies the current Chinese educational system with an emphasis on various organizational levels along with the power they have in the decision making process and the options for creating change. Through the study of key documents of the Chinese educational system, political system, and other foreign literature, the legislative processes and documents that are responsible for the Chinese educational policies are made apparent. The thesis compares the official Chinese educational system's documents and processes with the actual situation. Based on this research, the thesis determines the real level of autonomy that directors and teachers possess in the decision making process.
The organization of primary and lower secondary education in Europe: Comparative analysis of the Czech Republic and Finland in terms of equity.

This thesis is a comparative study, which compare two selected countries, Finland and the Czech Republic in the organization of basic education. The benchmark of equity has been chosen as a comparative criterion. This criterion was further divided into single indicators. The key indicator in this respect was the selectivity of educational systems. For this reason, the thesis presents especially the form and the extent of differentiation of students by each level of basic education in both chosen counties and try to find the number of children who are educated in them. The results of comparative analysis showed that five educational programs with different degree of quality exist in the Czech Republic, while there are only two types of schools in Finland. Finland has used the differentiation of pupils in schools, even in clases in much smaller scale in comparison with the Czech Republic. In Finland, there are no classes with extended teaching of some subjects. The next difference between selected countries is about the age when the students start to be selectived. The students are not differentionated before 16-years in Finland. The diploma thesis devoted to "Development and education of teachers of pre-primary education system" examines the needs of pedagogical education and other possibilities of education of pedagogical staff of pre-primary education. The thesis deals with the development of professional and competence skills that are applicable in the pre-primary education system. The thesis deals with the legislative requirements for the education of future teachers, which is adequate for full use. The aim of the diploma thesis is to describe the system of the pre-primary education required by the system of education and to compare it with the requirements of the real needs of the pre-primary education activities of the educator in order to prepare for education with the help of their competence skills. Asked research questions are whether the theoretical and practical knowledge gained by the required study is sufficient according to the teachers' views for the performance of a novice pre-primary educator, whether pre-primary educators are trying to engage in further education and what types of courses are used by pre-primary teachers. Since the reopening in 1990 their existence have been criticised for not being justified. In this thesis the arguments are given for and also against their preservation. The theme of these schools is introduced in the theoretical part of the thesis. The historical context and the position of these schools in the modern school system are presented and questioned. The empiric part is a quantitative research in which opinions of various experts in this field were compared. The main aim of the research was to find out how the actual work position of interested subjects influences their attitudes towards the existence of these grammar schools. Analysis of Czech and German secondary vocational education

The bachelor thesis "Analysis of Czech and German secondary vocational education" deals with the educational systems in both countries, focusing on secondary vocational education. In the first part of the paper, educational systems of both countries are presented in relation to the legislative framework as well as to the political debate on their possible changes. In the second part of the thesis, both systems of the secondary vocational education are thoroughly analyzed. The third part of the thesis consists of a case study that describes the collaboration between the company Gerresheimer Horšovský Týn and the Vocational School Domažlice. This cooperation leads to the adoption of some elements of German dual education system (Duale Ausbildung) into the Czech system of vocational education. At this point, the analysis is accompanied also by the examination of the reflection of this activity in the local newspaper called Domažlický deník. The thesis charts development of drama education, related changes in education system, specific forms and possibilities of drama teachers education. It focuses more detailed on the period from the 60th of the 20th century (the beginning of constitution the field of drama education) to the end of the nineties (changes related with the establishment of drama education at universities). The development is divided into six periods by significant changes in the developent of drama teachers education. The thesis follows drama teachers' education system transformations, describes education courses and seminars (their aims, contents, forms, methods, etc.), outlines the possibilities of education of drama teachers today.
