Situace v zahraničních zemích je často tím, co nás k těmto změnám podněcuje. Cílem této práce je popsat vzdělávací systém a výuku chemie na středních školách ve Skotsku, porovnat je se situací v ČR a zhodnotit, v jakých aspektech bychom se mohli Skotskem inspirovat. Metodami výzkumu byly hospitace na hodinách chemie na třech středních školách ve Skotsku, polostrukturované rozhovory s učiteli a analýza studijních plánů a pedagogických dokumentů. Práce nejprve shrnuje historické a kulturní souvislosti, které ovlivňují vzdělávání ve Skotsku. Poté popisuje strukturu skotského vzdělávacího systému a přibližuje výuku chemie na středních školách z hlediska studijních plánů a požadavků k získání kvalifikací. Následuje popis navštívených středních škol včetně záznamů z hospitací z vybraných hodin chemie. Poslední část pak srovnává různé aspekty vzdělávacích systémů a přístupů k výuce chemie v ČR a ve Skotsku. Celková struktura vzdělávacích systémů v ČR a ve Skotsku se velmi liší a z těchto odlišností plynou i rozdíly v obsahu a uspořádání učiva v jednotlivých... Education systems of foreign countries are often what inspire us to make these changes. The aim of this thesis is to describe the education system in Scotland and the way chemistry is being taught at secondary schools in this country. Further it tries to compare these to the education system and chemistry teaching in the Czech Republic and consider whether we can adopt any aspects of Scottish education. Apart from analysis of study plans and educational documents, research for this thesis included visits to chemistry lessons at three secondary schools in Scotland and interviews with teachers at these schools. In the text, cultural and historical context of Scotland related to the education system is mentioned briefly. Then the Scottish education system is explained and Chemistry teaching at secondary schools is described from the point of study plans and requirements.
