Bilingual education in Czech Nursery Schools

The main focus of this bachelor thesis is to present the issue of bilingualism and early multilingualism. The aim is to examine early second language acquisition whilst implementing teaching methods and strategies of the CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) method into pre-primary education. The theoretical part focuses on language development of preschool children and related issues, which are based on intentionally acquired successive bilingualism. It also provides important information on the CLIL method, the basic principles and implementation into pre-primary education, as well as teaching methods and strategies to support early multilingualism. The empirical part presents results of the research survey examining bilingual education and teaching English in pre-primary education in Prague. The data was gained from an analysis of informative documents a questionnaire survey and semi-structured interviews. Not only had the research examined the form of early second language education in Prague, but also the use of methods and strategies based on the CLIL method and the conditions important for successful early second language teaching and learning formulated by the respondents. Methodology of using combat games in the environment of alternative forest schools of pre-primary and primary education, as possible prevention of bullying and healthy development of pupils.

The diploma thesis "Methodology of the use of rough-and-tumble play in the environment of alternative forest schools of pre-primary and primary education as a possible prevention of bullying." points to the area of children's games, which are inherently associated with such physical manifestation that it can cause all sorts of concerns in adults. The rough-and-tumble play as well as fighting and combat play are in question considered in this thesis as a kind of games, sometimes possibly neglected, but necessary for the healthy development of children's personalities. If the development of children and pupils is the goal of school facilities, then the possible inclusion of combat and combat games in these environments seems to be suitably developing. Alternative schools, in this case forest kindergartens and primary schools, are so open to innovation that this thesis chose them for the imaginary incorporation of rough-and- tumble play into their curriculum. It also outlines the possible context between the conscious fighting game of children and their perception of bullying, or the possible influence of the fighting game on the elimination of these undesirable behaviours. The objective of the dissertation thesis are to conduct the first research survey in continuity of pre-primary and primary education from the perspective of management in integrated kindergartens and primary schools in the Czech Republic. It studies school heads' opinions on continuity of pre-primary and primary education in the context of curricular reform an well as how they put this continuity in practice of their schools. The topic of dissertation thesis is defined by school management and curricular reform. The theoretical part focuses on the triad of the following concepts: management, continuity and curricular reform. The concepts are linked to the environment of integrated pre-primary and primary schools. At the same time, the head teacher's role in the specific conditions of this type of school is reflected. The theoretical framework builds on theories from management and pedagogy. Early Childhood Education and Care in Finland

The bachelor thesis is focuses on pre-primary education and care in Finland. The aim of the thesis is find out specifics of pre-primary institutions and to compare two specific pre-primary institutions from the perspective of structural and procedural setting. Bachelor thesis is consist of theoretical and practical parts. The goal of theoretical part is to inform about political situation, demography and the social system's support in Finland briefly. The main topic of theoretical part is describing different types of institutions, which provide pre-primary education and care. Moreover, it is also focuses on the legislative conditions and curricular documents of these institutions. The end of the theoretical part deals with qualification of pre- primary education teacher. Practical part of bachelor thesis contains two case studies of two pre-primary institutions in Finland. This part follows the specifics of structural settings, but also educational forms and methods of both preschool institutions. The case studies use observation method, structured interviews and document analysis. The thesis deals with the topic of managerial competences in pre-primary education. This topic has been chosen on the basis of ever-changing and evolving demands on the management of kindergartens and the need for high-quality and very comprehensive competencies of kindergarten headmasters. The aim of this thesis is to compare managerial competencies and on the basis of these acquired information to design the most appropriate model of competencies of directors of these contributory organizations. The theoretical part analyzes individual competencies in the field of economic, personal and legal management of the school. The practical part is focused on the comparison of individual areas of management in terms of their complexity and assessment of managerial competences with respect to the time burden. The work is based on professional literature, valid legal norms and results of the research conducted. Relationship of the founder and director of pre-primary education in the Pilsen region.

The Diploma thesis dealing with the relation between a founder and a director of pre-school education management in the Pilsen region, aims to evaluate a system of kindergartens, which are independent contributory organizations and whose founder is a municipality. To find out what competences the founder has in relation to a kindergarten, in which spheres the founder cooperates with a director. How the founder evaluates director's work, if he does control activities and if he works with outputs of the control bodies, especially the Czech School Inspectorate.To find out what the competences of a kindergarten director are, whether he is supported by the founder or not. To find out how the cooperation between the founders and the directors of kindergartens is evaluated by inspectors of the Czech School Inspectorate who are specialized in pre-primary education and work in the Pilsen Inspectorate of the ČSI. Comparative analysis of pre-primary education in the selected EU countries Magda Navrátilová The aim of this thesis is to identify differences between the legal rules governing pre-primary education (ISCED classification - 0) in selected European countries - England, France and Austria with legal rules governing pre-primary education in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, the aim of this thesis is to propose amendments to law based on the comparison. The thesis is composed of four parts. First part is introductory. Basics are explained there as well as used methodology. Second part is devoted to pre-primary education in selected European countries. Participatory management of the organizationin pre-primary education Renata Capová ABSTRACT This diploma thesis deals with the participatory management of the organization in pre-primary education. The theoretical part of this diploma thesis is dealt with in the first chapter by management in educational institutions, managerial management styles, decision making by an individual and participative and worker self-management. In the second chapter, in the theoretical part of the thesis, it deals with the management in pre-school education, the styles of leadership in nursery school and the head of the kindergarten. The practical part, in the form of indirect, standardized observation and structured interviews, focuses on the management of participatory management in the form of a worker self- management in the International Private Kindergarten and the Bambíno Dejvice Nursery. The aim of the diploma thesis is to analyze the specifics of the management system in the pre- primary education of the organization based on the principle of a worker self-management.
