The diploma thesis deals with the motivation and barriers in education of adult students at a college. The issue of motivation and barriers of selected economically active students in higher education is discussed. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and an empirical part. The theoretical part describes the basic concepts related to the topic of the diploma thesis - motivation, motivation to learn, lifelong learning, adult education, higher education, barriers in education and more. The aim of the thesis is to find out and describe what motivated and continues to motivate selected economically active adults to study at a college, to identify the barriers they feel in this education and to find out how they deal with these barriers. The thesis identifies, analyzes and describes the motivation and barriers of selected adult students in education at a selected college. As part of the empirical part of the thesis, based on its aim, research questions are set, to which answers are subsequently sought through investigation. The thesis deals with the specifics of integration and education of foreigners studying at universities in the Czech Republic. Nowadays, studying abroad is very affordable and therefore many students go to different countries and a significant percentage of them go to the Czech Republic. It is therefore essential that they feel comfortable here and that their studies have as few obstacles as possible. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to describe the access of foreigners to education in the Czech Republic, to find out how the adaptation process of foreigners to a new environment can be influenced, and to describe the integration and educational barriers of foreigners actively studying at universities in the Czech Republic. In the theoretical part of the thesis a description of the integration process, the legal framework for higher education in the Czech Republic, intercultural differences in education is realized. Furthermore, attention is paid to the integration policy and educational services provided in the Czech Republic. Analysis of the education system in the organization

The subject of this work will be to describe and evaluate the current education system in the selected organization and analyze the educational needs of employees, their motivation and barriers for further education. The work will be divided into two parts. It is the theoretical part and the empirical part. The theoretical part describes the basic concepts associated with personnel management, tasks and strategies of human resources management and the importance of education for organization. It will also focus on the motivation of employees for further education and barriers that prevent employees from education. The issue of objectives and philosophy of education, education system, education process and methods of education will be addressed. The text will draw on domestic and foreign literature. The next chapter will analyze the system of education of employees in a selected organization that will rely on the case study and subsequently the interpretation of the obtained data. Motivation of Adults to Formal Education

This bachelor thesis is focused on formal education of adults, mainly on motivation of adults for returning to formal education system. It contains basic terms and definitions (lifelong learning, adult person, adult education, formal education, motivation and barriers) using professional literature of Czech and foreigner authors. The thesis brings overview of possibilities that adults have on all educational system levels. Also it describes the barriers that the adults have to face when they are interested in continuing education. The thesis includes quantitative empirical survey carried out in the form of a poll, collected data were analyzed and commented. The survey presents specific kinds of adult during continuing formal education. Motivation for continuing education and factors affecting participation in continuing education

The aim of this bachelor thesis "Motivation for continuing education and factors affecting participation in continuing education" is to analyze what motivates adults to participate in continuing education and what are main obstacles in adult education. The paper consists of two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with an overview of basic knowledge about the issue with the use of literature, both domestic and foreign authors. The second, practical part contains a description of own empirical survey. The aim of the survey is to identify the main reasons for adults to participate in continuing education and detect the most common barriers, obstacles to such participation. The survey is trying to confirm the conclusions from the theoretical part by the analysis of the select company. Diplomová práce Distanční vzdělávání žáků se sociálním znevýhodněním Distance education of pupils with the need for support due to different cultural and living conditions Miroslava Haplová ABSTRACT Closing schools and launching distance education in spring of the year 2020 have brought new experience into the Czech educational system and the whole society. This situation has had a great impact especially on the pupils with special needs including those with social disadvantage. The qualitative research together with structured and semi-structured interviews with socially disadvantaged families and educational service workers will, with emphasis on the issue of pupils with social disadvantage, help clarify the input preconditions for distance education with its obstacles, schools' strategies, the role of special tutors and the schools' potential for collaboration with other institutions and participants at the time of distance eduction. The outcomes of this thesis reveal that to find an adequate way to support the pupils with special needs, it is crucial for the schools to know the pupils' family conditions and set up a suitable strategy for their education based on the situation. Barriers to education for children from socially excluded localities from their parents point of view

Diploma thesis deals with pupils from socially excluded localities and their education. The theoretical part defines the term socially excluded locality and deals with distinctive features that influence the situation of people living here. The Roma minority, which is often associated with social exclusion, is also characterised, and unfortunately is still frequently represented in socially excluded localities. The main topic is a socially disadvantaged pupil, their needs and current educational opportunities are taken into account. Special attention is given to Roma children and pupils with regard to cultural and ethnic specifics. The practical part is processed in the form of 12 case studies describing individual families from socially excluded localities and their attitude to children's education. The main objective of the research was to identify barriers that influence the education of their children from the parents' point of view. Partial objectives focus on other circumstances that families may have to limit access to school in relation to their social situation. Application possibilities of the concept of open education at Czech universities

5 Abstract: In the introduction the theoretical and philosophical bases are discussed and related to specifics in education in postmodern society. The following are definitions of the historical development of distance education. The key elements of the work are characteristic of The Open University and Open Educational Resources initiative. In both cases, the use SWOT analysis in which it is included also a general appreciation of the advantages the use of e-learning. Specifically, in the case of the Open University is first summarized the historical development in the context of social change from 60th to 90th years of the 20th century. Following evaluation of the current state of the multiple viewpoints. The challenge is to become familiar with current educational offer and new trends that raises this institution. In the case of OER is first placed emphasis on the definition and delimitation of specific outputs inciativy both the institutional background and specific projects implemented non-profit and private sectors.
