4 Abstrakt: V bakalářské práci je na úvod pojednáno o teoretických a filozofických východiscích, které se týkají specifik vzdělávání v postmoderní společnosti. Následuje vymezení historického vývoje distančního vzdělávání. Stěžejními body práce jsou charakteristika The Open University a iniciativy Open Educational Resources. V obou případech je použita SWOT analýza, v níž je zahrnuto rovněž obecné zhodnocení výhodnosti užití e-learningu. Konkrétně v případě The Open University je nejprve shrnut historický vývoj v souvislostech společenských změn 60. až 90. let 20. století. Následuje zhodnocení aktuálního stavu z více hledisek. Stěžejním úkolem je seznámení se s aktuální vzdělávací nabídkou a novými trendy, které tato instituce nastoluje. V případě OER je nejprve kladen důraz na definiční vymezení a konkrétní výstupy inciativy jak v oblasti institucionálního zázemí, tak konkrétních realizovaných projektů neziskového i soukromého sektoru. Závěrečná část práce je věnována průzkumu aktuálního stavu českých univerzit, konkrétně nabídce distančního vzdělávání, e-learningových kurzů a míře otevřenosti přístupu ke studijním materiálům. Autor bakalářské práce si všímá konkrétních předností a slabin a navrhuje možná vylepšení stávajícího stavu. V samotném závěru práce, kromě shrnutí zjištěných poznatků, nabízí... 5 Abstract: In the introduction the theoretical and philosophical bases are discussed and related to specifics in education in postmodern society. The following are definitions of the historical development of distance education. The key elements of the work are characteristic of The Open University and Open Educational Resources initiative. In both cases, the use SWOT analysis in which it is included also a general appreciation of the advantages the use of e-learning. Specifically, in the case of the Open University is first summarized the historical development in the context of social change from 60th to 90th years of the 20th century. Following evaluation of the current state of the multiple viewpoints. The challenge is to become familiar with current educational offer and new trends that raises this institution. In the case of OER is first placed emphasis on the definition and delimitation of specific outputs inciativy both the institutional background and specific projects implemented non-profit and private sectors.
