Support for families caring for children with Asperger's syndrom

Bakalářská práce PODPORA RODIN DĚTÍ S ASPERGERVÝM SYNDROMEM Kateřina Rábová ABSTRACT This thesis aims to describe the support the state offers to families with children who have been diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome. Asperger syndrome is an lighter form of autism. Individuals with this diagnosis often fail to communicate with external environment and have difficulty in establishing social relationships, which can often lead to their social exclusion. It is therefore important for these individuals and their families to receive some support from the state. The thesis therefore first describes how such support should be carried out, specifically what principles should be reflected, how they should be set, and all that based on the Life Course theory. The thesis further describes recent available form of social support for this target group. The thesis step by step elaborated contributions and social services that can families of children with Asperger syndrome use and conditions of their use. In conclusion, on the basis of data obtained from the research work of the author of this thesis, is shown how the social assistance for families looks in practice and how it assess these families themselves.
Integration children with Asperger's syndrome at the elemetary school

In this thesis, the theoretical introduction firstly reviews Asperger's syndrome using available scientific resources. Secondly, we discuss major impacts and parameters of the integration process in a general perspective. The empirical part is fosuced on two case studies describing integration of two students who were diagnosed with Asperger syndrome. Data collection was based on direct observation, interview, databases and information from experts. The results and conclusions shall help to improve pegagogical skills of teachers. Furthermore the thesis shall serve as a source of information and guideline for parents, for whom the sufficient education is very essential.
Problems, Limits a nd Possibilities of Attendance Assistant

The bachelor's thesis is focused on the issue of assistance service in the Czech Republic. The emphasis is put on the function of assistant pedagogue. This function represents one of the two forms of assistance service. Some of the chapters are concerned with legislative determination of assistance service, educational options for assistant pedagogue; and specific difficulties of this function as well. With regards to this function, part of the thesis is deals with the issue of integration of students with special educational needs. Stress is laying on the integration of scholars with Asperger's syndrome. The thesis focuses on its definition, history, diagnostic criteria and the consequential aspects of pedagogic work. The bachelor's thesis also includes a case study of scholar with Asperger's syndrome.
Autism and Zootheraphy : Experiences from Special Centers

The aim of this thesis is to find out chat forms of zoorehabilitation exists and how it can help to people with autism and thein families. The work begins with a brief definitiv of autism and its history. The FIFA charter is devoted to autism spektrum disorders, its influence on social relationships, communication, imagination, games and interests. The sixth charter deals with disorders of the autism spektrum. I describe each disorder separately, its characteristics, even if there are not fixed boundaries between different disordes. The seventh charter is devoted to the diagnosis of autism spektrum disorders, chat are the metod sof diagnosis. Next charter describers chat options do parents of these childern have in education. Following charter describes Civic associations, that arise and hepl parents of childern affected by autism and ether formo f disabilities. In the tenth and in the next five chapters are described different types zoorehabilitation, its origin and use in the Czech Republic. From the seventeenth charter starts the practical part where i described free different stories of families with a child who has one of the autism spektrum disorder. Employment of people with autism spectrum disorders

The bachelor thesis deals with adult people with Autism Spectrum Disorders, especially Asperger's Syndrome and High Functioning Autism, in connection with their employment in the Czech Republic. The goal of this thesis is to find out the labour opportunities and the support for these people. The thesis consists of a theoretical part and a case study. Introductory chapter describes Autism in general and defines all of Autism Spectrum Disorders. The second chapter is already focused on adults and the problems they face and which often set apart the current society. The third section includes the possibilities of employment for people with autism, supported employment services, the legislative framework of people with disabilities and last the benefits which employment of persons with autism provides. Case study in the end of the thesis concerns a man with autism who used supported employment services and found a job that suits him. Children with Autism and their Interests

The aim of this thesis is to map the interests of the child with Asperger syndrom then compare them with the interests of the child in the same intact age, and on comparisons to specify the common and different features of interest. Another goal is to assess whether the development of a boy with Asperger syndrome and intact boys changes their interests. I focused on the boy with Asperger syndrome whether there is the possible link of interest based on the specifics of the disability itself. The theoretical part is devoted to describing the characteristics of autism spectrum disorders more closely with ideas about Asperger syndrome. It also includes the characteristics of interests and game of intact children as compared with the specifics of the game and the interests of children with autistic spectrum disorders. Qualitative type of research and the method of observation have been chosen for purposes of empirical studies. The practical part follows the theoretical part. It is complemented by concrete examples in the form of two case studies, which were based on the observation of a boy with Asperger's syndrome and the intact boys, and also based on additional information obtained from interviews with parents due to the need to complete anamnesis data.
