Aspects of cooperation between school psychologists and the Authority for Social and Legal Protection of Children

The thesis deals with the aspects of cooperation between school psychologists and the Authority for Social and Legal Protection of Children (OSPOD). The theoretical part of the thesis describes the work content of both school psychologists and OSPOD workers and defines their mutual cooperation, including the legislative framework. At the same time, the theoretical part includes information on the common target group of both institutions, the child at risk. The empirical part of the thesis focuses on qualitative research. The research tool is a semi- structured interview. The informants were school psychologists (seven in total) and OSPOD staff (three in total). The main aim of the thesis is to explore the way in which the cooperation between school psychologists and OSPOD is conducted and to identify the critical points of contact between the two institutions. The research shows that there are several key factors which influence the frequency and level of satisfaction with the cooperation. Study coach as part of the school counseling office

The thesis deals with the use of coaching methods in education, specifically the position of the student coach and the possibilities of his/her work within the school counselling office. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part defines the activities of the individual members of the school counselling office and the anchoring of these positions in the legislation along with the required qualifications and education. It also mentions coaching, its possible definitions and related concepts, and outlines the position of coaching in education in the Czech Republic and abroad. The practical part focuses on the actual research, which took place at a private language highschool in Prague for one school year. It first presents the characteristics of the school, which is complemented by a quantitative analysis and provides an overview of the composition of the school counselling department at this particular school, the representation of pupils in each year group and other features. Next, the paper outlines the activities of the student coach, in particular the course of consultations, methods and tools used. Prevention of risk behaviour at secondary schools

The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of prevention of risky behaviour in secondary schools. It is divided into two parts - theoretical and practícal. The theoretical part focuses on basic concepts of risky behaviour and prevention. It deals with the advisory systém in education and legislation and documents related to preventiv in secondary schools. In the practical part, the aim was to map the view of secondary school students on school prevention, which they experienced during their schooling, identify weak and strong places, and how prevention of risky behaviour among high school students is implemented. For my research, I chose quantitative research methods in the form of an anonymous questionnaire.
The role of special educationalist at the grammar school

The presented bachelor thesis is devoted to the topic of special pedagogue at school directly from the point of view of special pedagogues working at primary schools. The main goal of the work was to describe the role of a special pedagogue at a primary schools, to analyze its scope of work and to describe the position of a special pedagogue in a pedagogical team at a primary school. Qualitative research, method of questioning and technique of semi-controlled interview were used to achieve the goal of this work. I decided to set three research questions. All of these questions were focused on the activities performed by a special pedagogue; on the target group special pedagogue works with and on the position that special pedagogue occupies in the pedagogical team. The research samples were determined to be special pedagogues working at primary schools in Prague and in Pilsen. There were seven respondents in the interview. The obtained information pieces of information were evaluated using open coding and presented in the form of data categorization. The results of the research show that the role of school special pedagogues in primary schools is perceived by members of the pedagogical team as beneficial, even as indispensable. The information obtained from respondents is largely lined up with the literature and legislation concerning special pedagogues and educators. Interviews with respondents helped to gain a deeper insight into the activities that special pedagogues perform at primary schools and what problems they might be facing during their work. The results of this work can bring vital information about this position to students who would like to become special pedagogues at school. Furthermore, this work can be not only useful for the public, who will learn more about the role of the special pedagogue, but also gain insight into pedagogue's activities and can outline the possibilities that arise for them, if this position is established in their primary school.
School counselling centres' support of LGBTQ students

The diploma thesis deals with the topic of supporting LGBTQ students. It describes the experiences of LGBTQ adolescents in the school environment and the different forms of support that can be provided to them in this environment. The work focuses mainly on the support of LGBTQ students from the school counseling centres and the role of school counselors and school psychologists as advocates for LGBTQ students. The research in this work is dedicated to mapping out the experiences and comparing the views of school counselors and school psychologists and LGBTQ students on LGBTQ topics in Czech education and the role of the school counseling centres in supporting LGBTQ students. The research in this thesis is qualitative and works with two research sets. Individual interviews and focus groups were used for data collection, thematic analysis was chosen for subsequent data analysis. The results of the research draw attention to the absence of LGBTQ topics in Czech education and the insufficient support of LGBTQ students by adults in education. Constructing the school counselling department at Royal Elementary School in Prague - a case study

The case study describes the process of building a school counselling centre at a particular private school in Prague. The theoretical part provides a professional framework and describes what is the purpose of a school counselling centre, how it is defined in the legislation of Czech republic, who are its members and what is the job description of each of them. However, each school has its own specific needs of the management, teachers and pupils, and the counselling centre should respond to them. The practical section details the steps in the process of setting up a counselling centre and presents a way of thinking and specific questions that the founder may ask. The output of the work is also a proposal for the concept of a school counselling centre as it will operate in this particular school. The work is an inspiration to other schools that are just starting their counselling centres.
Comparison of primary prevention at the second level of elementary schools in Most and Prague

The diploma thesis Comparison of primary prevention at the second level of elementary schools in Most and Prague discusses the implementation of primary prevention at the second level of elemetary school in these two selected locations. The diploma thesis is thematically divided into six chapters. The first part defines the basic terminology related to the topic of primary prevention. This section also contains information about particular topics of risky behavior and counsulting services of elementary schools. The second part follows a survey among school prevention methodologists in Most and Prague. The objective of the following practical part is to identify and compare what form and under what conditions is implemented primary prevention of risky behavior among pupils of the second level of elementary schools. For the survey was used quantitative method, in the form of a questionnaire divided between school prevention methodologists in both cities. In the final part there are interpreted the data obtained in the survey, which confirmed that in both areas there are different approaches to the implementation of primary prevention at the second levels of elementary schools. School counselling centre and its role at the first and second grade of the elementary shool

v anglickém jazyce: The Bachelor thesis is dealing with the functioning of the school counselling centre on the first and second grade of the elementary school. The theoretical part consists of themes as the development of school counselling centres, their aims and the description of the whole counselling system. There is also a description of the work of the particular specialists representing this centre. I search for and examine the pupils' satisfaction or dissatisfaction at school and their problems concerning school and family environment in the empiric part. I focus on the children being able or willing to deal with their problems with these specialists. The question is also if the pupils have sufficient information and knowledge to whom they can turn with their troubles.
Work of a school special educational advisor in a school counseling centre

This thesis concerns the profession of the school special educational advisorr working in a mainstream primary school and his acting in favor of pupils with learning difficulities. The theoretical part describes the group of pupils with whom the school special educational advisor works and possibilities of this work, the cooperation with other partners (teachers, professionals and institutions outside the school and pupils' parents ) in supporting those pupils and the three-stage model of care for pupils at risk in school development. The practical part in the form of qualitative research examines how school special educational advisors acting in primary schools in Prague see themselves in their profession.
