Army question in Austo-Hungarian politics at the turn of centuries

This thesis deals with the political crisis in Hungary (and by extension Austria-Hungary as a whole) at the turn of centuries. Attempts to modernize the armed forces and increase their size led, especially in Hungary, to a broad discussion about relations between the army and the nation and the position of Hungary within the monarchy. Thesis describes basic characteristics of political development in relation to the army question during years 1902-1912, its actors, their aims, motivations and results. Control systém of matrix display

The content of this thesis is to design and implement control system for a matrix display BUSE using Raspberry Pi. At first the matrix display was revived because after several attemps of commissioning it seemed to be broken and there were some electrical components that needed to be replaced. The control system allows to design screens and animations for matrix display through graphical element called bitmap. The thesis contains creation of three programs. The control program running on PC, program for microcontroler ATmega128A which displays screens on BUSE panel and program for Raspberry PI which resends data between microcontroller and computer.

Teleshopping and the teleshopping programs to view of regulation

The topic of this work is a specific segment of commercial media communication - teleshopping. The subject of teleshopping broadcasting is not only the direct sale of goods, but also the consumption of services, which may include participation in an interactive competition, prophecy or other esoteric service. Teleshopping as one of the forms of commercial communication is subject to the amendment to the Advertising Regulation Act, the Radio and Television Broadcasting Act and the On-demand Audiovisual Media Services Act. The case law of the Municipal Court in Prague and the Supreme Administrative Court is also an essential source of regulation. Examples of administrative practices of the Council for Radio and Television Broadcasting describe the regulation of this segment of commercial communications and it captures a wide range of potential violations of legal regulations in the case of teleshopping broadcasts. The material for the comprehensive analysis of the issue puts teleshopping in a broader context, therefore it also describes other forms of commercial communications represented in the field of television broadcasting and explains the differences between types. Lipid Membranes at the Nanoscale: Single-Molecule Fluorescence Approach

The complexity of cell membranes is far from being only a simple assembly of lipids and proteins separating cells from the surrounding environment. Each of the thousands of different membrane components performs its specific role in cellular functions, since a multitude of biological processes is mediated by membranes. The understanding of the molecular basis of these processes is one of the important aims of current biological research. Our research employing single- molecule fluorescence methods (e.g. FCS, FCCS, FLIM-FRET) has made a contribution to the knowledge of membrane lateral organization or mechanism of membrane fusion. Furthermore, we revealed the mechanism of membrane activity of a small natural compound. As native cell membranes are very complex structures, we performed the experiments on simplified model lipid membranes that allow studying lipid-lipid or lipid-protein interactions at the molecular level in a controlled way. The first part of this thesis deals with the mode of action of a membrane active secondary metabolite didehydroroflamycoin (DDHR). We demonstrated that DDHR is a pore-forming agent and that this activity is influenced by the presence of cholesterol. Air carriers' liability for the carriage of passengers in the light of European and Private International Law The object of this rigorosa is air carriers' liability for the carriage of passengers, which is by its nature governed mainly by international treaties and secondary law of the European Union. The rigorosa is divided into six parts, which are focused on all aspects of air carriage. The first part informs about the historical development of aviation and its contemporary importance especially with regard to its impact on environment and economical situation. Basic concepts which are used by the author throughout the whole rigorosa and can be found by readers are not omitted as well. The second part focuses on the regulation of international air carriage from the perspective of International law, European law and Czech domestic law. As mentioned in this rigorosa, the carrier's liability when the loss event that is expected by legislators happens is governed mainly by international treaties and secondary law of the European Union, that is why the third part is focused on its most important legal sources and its possible development. The crisis, mergers, changes in ownership and cosolidation - the economical development of czech media companies in years 2009-2013 and cosequent change of the ownership

This thesis is dedicated to the significant change in media ownership in the Czech Republic which occured during the Global crisis in 2008 - 2013. In this period almost all foreign owners sold their media to the local enterpreneurs, who took over almost all media houses. This shift happened under generally less comfortable matket conditions, which have hit mostly the printed media. The local enterpreneurs are naturally much more interested in local politics. This text describes these changes and uncovers the economic reasons that led to it, including the extensive research into publicly available, yet not analysed annual reports of media companies. The conclusion is that the foreign owners generally earned well in the Czech market and that they have decided to use the crisis as a good moment to sell. The arrival of new domestic owners caused worries about their possible interference with kontent and by 2017 there are some hints suggesting that they may use the media against the opponents. But there is a fact that may prevent them: the thesis proves how worth the position on the market is. And this should at least limit these efforts.
