Dilemma of Choosing the Right University

The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to outline the choice of further education and future career possibilities of interviewed high school students. The research is dedicated to dilemma of choice, which means the students' decision process and to the factor specification, the latter of which due to their involvement influence the process itself. The first theoretical part explains used terms and chosen career theories. The next chapters deal with main factors influencing the students' decision-making process, motivation and specific motivation incentives, such as values and values orientation. The conclusion of theoretical part focuses on decision-making process and on the specific ways of decision-making. The main goal of the empirical part was not only to find out the course of decision-making process in relation to further education choice and career possibilities of questioned students, but also to identify particular factors influencing the students' choices. The empirical part concerns with the methodology of used research. The methodology is based on quantitative processing of fourteen semi-structured interviews. The practice of bachelor students of the librarianship

The bachelor's thesis provides information about general high school library and information practice recommendation, that is based on document "European Curriculum Reflections on Library and Information Science Education". The thesis brings information on the text of The Institute Curricula and gives the analysis of students internships that run over at three high schools in the Czech Republic (universities in Praha, Brno and Opava). The introduction describes a genesis of the Bologna Process initiatives and their development. In the next part, there is a brief introduction to the European Curriculum Reflections. The text itself is a conclusion of the EU project inspired by discussions around the Bologna Process. Subsequently, the chapter 11 titled "Practice and Theory: Placement as a part of the Curriculum" is introduced. The third chapter of the thesis focuses on students' internships that run over at the abovementioned high schools. The relevant information obtained from the Library and Information Science university teachers are presented, followed by results compilation and comparison. Student with hearing impairments at university

The purpose of this thesis is to describe support services for students with hearing impairment which are being provided by Czech universities. The paper describes laws related to educational rights concerning students with special needs. The thesis is also devoted to particular areas that are necessary for university studies, such as language proficiency or interpreting services. The main part of the thesis is a list of public universities, which holds the information whether each university establishes a service centre for students with special needs and presents specific services provided to students with hearing impairment. Lastly, there is mentioned an organization which unites together some of the public universities that provide support services for students with specific needs. All information has been acquired by analyzing websites of the universities, in some cases also through e-questionnaires. The results of this thesis enable a quick and comprehensive insight into the issue of the provision of services to students with hearing impairment at university.
Knowledge of rowing between students of Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, Charles University and Faculty of Physical Culture Palacký University Olomouc

Title: Knowledge of rowing between students of Faculty of Physical Education and Sport - Charles University and Faculty of Physical Culture - Palacký University Olomouc Objectives: The main objective of this work is research on the extent of knowledge about rowing of the students of two sports-oriented university faculties. Another aim is to compare general knowledge of students and comparison of the two selected faculties Methods: To determine the necessary information was used quantitative research, using on-line interviews. Before the interview was modified a questionnaire on the given subject, which was planned for 100 respondents. The research was conducted using an electronic questioning when the questionnaire was completed 119 respondents from Faculty of Physical Education and Sport - Charles University and The Faculty of Physical Culture - Palacký University Olomouc Results: Based on the research results, it is possible to say that knowledge and awareness about the rowing is among respondents rather average. Approximately 75 % of the respondents knew the correct answer in three questions. But to another question stated the right answer only 12 % of respondents. The rigorous work "Does ISS educate their students in accordance with the needs of the labor market?" deals with the relationship between tertiary education of graduates and their labor market outcomes. In the theoretical part the thesis deals with the importance of education in relation to the employability of graduates. The methodological part approaches this relationship on a case study of the Institute of Sociological Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University. Evaluation as s research method is chosen to solve the diploma thesis. The analytical part gradually reveals the conceptual model of the evaluated program, stakeholders and their interests. Attention is focused on the issue of working students at universities. The goal is to identify student's strategies combine daily study and work and how to help the students to prevent them or legislative conditions. The work has an analytical character and operates as primary research data from semi-structured interviews and secondary data from foreign studies and legislative documents. Data are analysed using content and thematic analysis.
