Modern methods of employee development in the context of talent management

The aim of the thesis is to identify and characterize modern methods of personnel development in the context of talent management. Emphasis is placed on the use of couching, mentoring, self-learning and e-learning (webinars, online seminars, video learning and mobile learning) in career management and work performance. A well-designed workplace development and learning system allows employees to effectively manage their careers. The acquired knowledge and skills can be used by talented individuals in creative activities and the development of the organization. This bachelor thesis is an analysis of educational system of employees in OVB Allfinanz, a.s. The work is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part of thesis is focused on the educational system as follow up to the present trends. In practical part of thesis, there is described the characteristics of the company and contains a summary description of the entire educational system in the company. Then analysis of this system is performed. The system is analyzed by the questionnaires. Competency model as a a tool for systematic training in the student organization

The aim of this thesis is to create a competency model for the jobs of new members of a student organization. The competency model is used to assemble a list of the types of educational activities that should be undertaken by the member in a half year frame after they start working on the new position in the organization. This goal is reflected by the structure of this thesis. The theoretical part is divided into two chapters. In the first one, the reader is acquainted with the concepts of competence, employee education, competency model, and management through competencies. The knowledge of these terms and their meaning is crucial for the understanding of the domain of education management. The contents of the second chapter deal with the various methods of development and educational activities, the systematical education and its phases, and the creation of competency model in an organization. The thesis deals with recruitment and development of students and graduates in relation to the talent management concept. It focuses on interpretation of talent concept, development of talent management, its current approach and the importance of talent management to the organization. Attention is paid to methods of recruitment and development of students and graduates, emphasizing the specifics of this group of employees. A qualitative survey is part of this thesis. Two methods of measurement were applied in this research - studying documents (career portals of employers) and conducting interviews with representatives of HR departments of large businesses operating in Prague, focusing on whether and how employers work with students and graduates within their talent management systems, how they understand the concept of talent and which methods of recruitment and development of students and graduates they apply most frequently. Comparison of education methods in education, prison and health services

The master thesis deals with further education and training in the fields of prison and health services and education. It describes which methods are required in further education and why they can contribute to more efficient planning of education in the particular areas. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts of lifelong learning, analyzes the similarities and differences in the understanding of lifelong learning in strategic documents. Education forms an important part of human resources development and its efficiency depends on the choice of suitable teaching methods and on understanding learners' motivations. In theory, it surveys also training in the particular areas. The findings from the theoretical part are based on the practical part of the degree work, which forms the main point. This practical part is based on the opinions of the employees that have been identified through a questionnaire. The results provide information not only about the specifics of the education methods used in the monitored areas, but also about mutual similarities, and they get closer to the main motivating factors for education. A comparison of two developmental methods and their impact on behaviour

The goal of my thesis is to compare the impact of two developmental methods (role playing and discussion about a video specially recorded for the developmental activity). In theoretical part I introduce employee development area from a psychological point of view and I describe psychological concepts in the background of concrete skills as leadership, self-management, communication and influencing. I strive for deeper understanding of ways we use to absorb these skills and understanding of possibilities to be used to enhance employees' development whether we mean the concrete developmental methods or training and development process management as a whole. This knowledge is applicable in training and development, which is an area, where my research is conducted. In empirical part I made two researches. In qualitative research I was identifying target group developmental needs to be able to set relevant developmental goals and chose developmental methods corresponding with actual needs of employees which is an important premise of influencing behaviour. In the main research part I conducted quasi-experiment where I compare the target group score before and after the developmental intervention. Teachers educational needs during their career

This diploma thesis deals with the educational needs of primary school teachers in concrete forms and areas of further education in specific stages of their careers. The first part is gradually devoted to theoretical knowledge about further education of teachers, its forms and areas and careers of teachers. The ending of this part is dedicated to further education of teachers abroad and the role school management has in the management of further education. The aim of the second part of the thesis, which is the research part, was to obtain the data neccesary to determinine the educational needs of primary school teachers throughout their careers. An questionnaire was used for this with an interview serving as a complimentary method. The conclusion summarizes the results of the research and it presents teachers' preferences in forms and areas of further education in certain stages of their careers.
