Reduction of antenatal sress through music-therapy

The goal of this paper is to find whether music therapy is one of the means to be used to increase parental readiness for childbirth. The theoretic section is discussing the psychological aspects of pregnancy. One of the chapters is briefly describing the psychological aspects of childbirth. Further on, a demarcation of music therapy and its main forms is introduced. Perception of music by mother and the unborn child is described giving an enumeration of various music activities and music therapy techniques to be performed in a group of expectant mothers and their partners. The practical section is a presentation of my research concerning impact of music therapy techniques and music activities on stress level during pregnancy. Usage of such music therapy techniques during psycho-prophylactic preparation of expectant mothers and their partners for the childbirth is discussed. The first research topic ("A") is focused on the stress, anxiety and tension levels. This is done through a series of questionnaires collected during the cycle of three sessions called "music activities with elements of music therapy" attended by pregnant women with partners. Songs in the English Education.

The diploma thesis called A Selection and Use of Songs in English Language Teaching discusses the idea of a positive impact of music on language acquisition and tries to stimulate the English teachers to think about the interconnetion of these two areas. In the first part, a current situation of using music in ESL teaching in the Czech republic and abroad is described. The second part focuses on the most important aspects of psychological, language and musical development of a child. A musical view on English phonetics and phonology completes the theoretical background of the thesis. The third part suggests activities and materials suitable for use in ESL classes including lesson plans that may inspire English teachers without musical education to use music and songs in their classes. A separate supplement of this thesis, a CD, provides materials processed in context with ideas of this work.

Feedback procedures, its options and limits in practical training of future chemistry teachers

Present days mean rapid development of technologies and their use in various spheres of science, research, production etc. This paper shows possibilities of using video technology in teaching during the pedagogical training of future chemistry teachers, with appropriate feedback. Terms reflection and self-reflection of teacher's skills, diagnostics and autodiagnostics of pedagogical activities, monitoring of pedagogical skills etc. represent in fact processes connected with application of feedback principles during the pedagogical training. In practice-oriented parts of teaching preparation, these processes are considered to be substantial to increase the effectiveness. Students' opinions shall also have a significant place in post-inspection procedures. Personnel-psychological diagnostics of golden profiler of personality

The presented diploma thesis offers possibilities and limits of using the Golden Profiler of Personality (GPOP) in the context of personnel psychology. Attention is devoted to general methodological principles of psychological assessments, their contribution to personnel practice focusing on recruitment process and the discussion about increasing efficiency of selection process less mentally demanding and responsible positions. The theoretical part is mainly dedicated to the method GPOP, which in its core is based on the Jung's theory of psychological types, which has stimulated development of the questionnaire MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator), and the Five-factor personality theory. Combining two completely different approaches it comes into being an assessment able to interpret on the one side, the uniqueness of personality, and on the second side its resemblance to a certain type. In the practical part, the psychometric characteristics of the questionnaire completed by 524 selected respondents are analyzed and evaluated. Reliability of the global scales is estimated of Cronbach`s alpha interval 0.8 to 0.9. Correlation analysis and exploratory factor analysis clearly support the expected construct of GPOP. Diploma thesis deals with the social and individual contexts of burden and stress problems in the teaching profession. It views the theoretical opportunities by means of assertiveness as one of the teachers' social skills, in managing difficult situations arising from an inadequate self-understanding and teachers' self-assessment or the complex relations among entities in the teaching interaction.

Nursing Care of Patients after Hemithyreoidectomy

The aim of this paper is case study in a patient aged 48 years who has been admitted for planned surgery for thyroid j goiter. Mr. Z.B. was hospitalized in a department of surgery, a Prague hospital. Hospitalization lasted 5 days. The clinical part deals with the history of therapy, anatomy and physiology of the thyroid gland. Furthermore, thyroid diseases and their clinical symptoms, diagnostic tests, treatment options and postoperative complications. Another section contains basic information about the patient, medical history and course of disease, including test results, during operation and prognosis. The nursing section briefly describes the nursing process and its use in practice. In my work I have to evaluate the patient and determine the needs of selected model-functioning health Marjory Gordon. To establish the diagnosis and the realization of short-term care plan, I chose the third day of hospitalization, namely the first postoperative day. The conclusion deals with the psychological evaluation of the patient and the process of education.

Psychosocial determinants effecting successfulness of performing the alternative punishment

This is a borderline work which stands with its subject between psychology, social work and law. The aim of the thesis is to identify and describe some psychosocial determinants, which may influence successful or unsuccessful fulfilling of alternative correction of generally useful work. We have based on theoretical processing of psychological and forensic aspects of the correction. We have called attention to the presumption of its effectiveness, which is based on one side on the quality of penitential work, on the other side on the certain individual, his personal structure, the level of his social, emotional or intellectual disruption.

Psychological Problem of Playing on the Violin

In meiner Diplomarbeit versuche ich, die wichtigsten Informationen, welche ich beim Violin- und Pádagogikstudium sowie durch eigene Interpretation und Unterricht erwarb, auszudrucken. Ziel der Arbeit ist es, die Probleme, die oft wáhrend des Studiums auftreten, aufzuzeigen und im Einklang mit Prinzipien der gegenwártigen Psychologie und Violinpádagogik diesbeziigliche Lósungsmóglichkeiten anzubieten. Der Text befasst sich nicht nur mit der Psyche eines Geigers, sondern kurz auch mit der Violintechnik, der Interpretation, der óffentlichen Auffuhrung und dem Unterricht, weil all diese Themen miteinander im engen Zusammenhang stehen. Die gegenwártige Violinpádagogik hat meiner Meinung nach drei verschiedene Hauptaufgaben. Erstens sollen Lehrer ihre Schuler so erziehen, dass sie als gesunde, vielseitige Persónlichkeiten aufwachsen. Zweitens sollen sie die innere Motivation und Liebe zum Violinspiel anregen. Der dritte und vielleicht wichtigste Dienst eines Geigenlehrers liegt in der Vorbereitung seiner Schuler auf ihren eventuell professionellen Weg eines Geigers. Allen, die diesen anstregenden Weg eingeschlagen haben, wQnsche ich viel Geduld und Gliick und hoffe, dass einige vielleicht auch in meiner Arbeit Hilfe finden.

Media portrayal of Roma minoritiy in Bulgaria

The thesis presents a summary survey of one ofBulgaria's ethnic minority groups, the Romany' s. It represents their language, history and cul ture in general and in Bulgaria specifically. The thesis researches individual groups with the aim of establishing how media presents them and it emulates to find their place and their footing in Bulgaria's majority community. The principal aim of the thesis is to ascertain what the perception is about an ethnic minority in Bulgaria, specifically the Romany's. To an average newspaper reader and whether Romany' s live out on a limb or not. One possibility of finding out what image the media create about Romany' s is to present single surveys, which raise certain subject matter and their consequences .The subsequent comparison distinguishes between surveys made in specific years and assessing if it improved or if the subject matter stay the same. The surveys of different Bulgarian newspapers and joumals use different methods of investigation, but they pursue the same aim - to establish how and why they write about Romany' s, if they speak about them in a positive or negative way, if they present the facts and if they are using derogatory language. Playful forms of work in lessons of reading and literature

The aim of this dissertation is to summarize the possibilities of a teachers approach , that might have a motivation and activization character. The work consist of two parts. The first part is presented on a theoretical level and puts across various findings in the area of teaching forms and methods with motivationally creative elements. The second part of the work is a collection of practical tasks for pupils, created for the teaching of literature and reading at primary level.
