Kunc, Kryštof ; Moravec, Václav (advisor) ; Lovaš, Karol (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with changes in normative environment in Polish public service media after 2015, after the beginning of the party's Prawo i Sprawiedliwość (Law and Justice) rule. We have limited our research by time limit, we follow the changes up to the end of year 2016. Using the method of analysis, namely the comparative analysis of the normative environment before and after 2015, we answer questions whether and how the normative environment has changed. In addition to the use of comparative analysis, we also answer these questions using testimonies from experts from the Polish academic sphere. Our conclusion is that normative environment has changed, the reality is moving away from the ideal attributes of the normative environment. The results of the thesis provide the basis for further exploration of Polish public service media, for example, for examination of content of their messages after the normative environment has changed.

Analysis of the debates of the candidates in the 2nd round of direct presidential election in the Czech Republic in the context of the political campaign
Rozsypal, Michael ; Mlejnek, Josef (advisor) ; Švec, Kamil (referee)
This diploma thesis analyses the debates of the two candidates who passed to the second round of the Czech direct presidential election in 2013. Primarily focuses on the debates in the public service media - Czech Television and Czech Radio. To put into context the whole campaign will briefly examine the debates on commercial TV stations as well. The thesis applies content analysis as the methodology. It measures how often both candidates (Miloš Zeman and Karel Schwarzenberg) mentioned their officially declared programme theses in a total of six debates on television and radio. The campaign is also presented more broadly in order to put the analysis into a wider context. Only programmes officially designated will be considered for the analysis so as to secure its accuracy. A quantitative analysis of the content will be applied in order to measure the frequency of programme theses in the debates researched. The principal goal of the thesis is to confirm or disconfirm the hypothesis that programme theses do not play such an important role in a political campaign in general, nor in candidate debates. I focus on the aspect of how different debates were and in which type of media presidential candidates presented the higher number of their programme theses.
Comparsion of control boards and financing of the public broadcasters in the Czech Republic and Austria
Havelka, Vít ; Šafařík, Petr (advisor) ; Mlsna, Petr (referee)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the financing and broadcasting councils of the public service broadcasters in Austria and the Czech Republic, examining namely Austrian Broadcasting (Österreichischer Rundfunk) and Czech Television (Česká televize) along with Czech Radio (Český rozhlas). These institutions are often at the center of controversy due to their level of dependence on local political representatives. Their critics argue that they submit to political pressure and give up one of their main purposes - providing an objective, independent, unbiased, and balanced news service. The independence of public service broadcasters generally relies on stable, predictable funding and impartial supervision. For this reason, these two features are analyzed in this paper. More specifically, it examines how the aforementioned media are financed, how the broadcasting councils are appointed, and how the status quo interacts with the local political culture. On top of that, the discussion involves international recommendations of institutions such as the European Council, the European Union and UNESCO. This thesis makes use of the synchronous comparative methodological approach. At first the situation in each country is analyzed and subsequently compared to one another. This paper provides an overview over the...

Music dramaturgy of Czech Radio Channel One is then compared to two commercial broadcasters (Impuls and Evropa 2) on which only limited legal regulations are imposed. The final research describes public discussion over the channel's music and verifies legitimacy of complaints (which included too frequent repetition of songs and artists, few songs of one artist in database only or obscolencence of broadcasted music not giving a lead to...
