Support for students with mental health disorders at a selected high school

1 ABSTRACT The thesis focuses on the occurrence of mental disorders in adolescents and the provision of support through school counseling services. This topic is current and requires extensive discussion and increased public attention due to the growing issue of mental health problems among young people. The aim of the thesis is not only to clarify but also to describe in detail the issue of mental disorders in adolescents, with a special focus on school counseling centers and their staff. The theoretical part of the thesis presents an analysis of basic concepts related to health, adolescence, and mental disorders. It also includes a list of the most common mental disorders occurring in this age group. In addition, it provides a detailed analysis of the school counseling system, which provides a deeper insight into the structure and organization of the support provided. The practical part of the thesis utilizes qualitative research, which includes observations of the school environment, analysis of school documents, and interviews with school counseling center staff. These methods allow for an insight into the practical aspect of providing help and support to students with mental disorders in the selected school environment. Does the child hero change? The change of value orientation concerning a pupil of a younger school age.

The thesis focuses on the value orientation of the first grade student in search of behavioural patterns and his future direction. In the theoretical part, it defines the pupil from the perspective of developmental psychology, especially on briefly describing the development of thinking, perception, speech, emotional and social development and the evolution of oral reasoning. It describes the differences in the development and behaviour of girls and boys. It discusses value theory in general and in relation to pupils of primary school age. It focuses at the various influences which shape pupils and which may alter their decision-making. In the empirical part, it investigates by a questionnaire survey the pupil's preferences in search of a child hero, the pupil's value ranking and his moral attitudes. The questionnaire investigation is complemented by two classworks with one class, the first of which preceded the questionnaire investigation and the second of which complemented it. The empirical part concludes with a comparison of the results with those of previous surveys. The hypothesis that pupils would look for their behavioural patterns most in virtual environments was not confirmed. Attitudes of preschool teachers and their experience with lesbian mother families

This master's thesis discusses the topic of preschool teachers' experience with lesbian mother families and the topic of attitudes towards same-sex parenting. The primary aim of this thesis was to map how teachers perceive, experience and practice their professional relationship with lesbian mother families. Also, the research sought to examine whether and how teachers include family diversity issues in preschools. Theoretical chapters introduce subject of attitudes towards lesbian and gay parenting and homoparental families in preschool environments. Empirical chapters present quantitative research, whose main method was a survay questionare. The research sample consisted of 70 female teachers and 3 male teachers from preschools. Experience with lesbian families was reported by half of the research sample. The results revealed that the majority of teachers perceive their experience with lesbian families as positive and their cooperation is not associated with any major difficulties. Despite teachers' mostly positive attitudes towards same-sex parenting as well as towards cooperation with these families, the issue of homoparentality in preschools is still rather invisible. Cooperation between the school and the family at the beginning of schooling of children

The thesis focuses on the issue of cooperation between schools and families at the beginning of children's school attendance. The theoretical part examines the key aspects of this cooperation. The analysis includes the role of the role of the teacher and his required competencies in the 21st century according to various publications dealing with this topis, the role of the family and the typology of family structures according to different characteristics influencing children's education, and also the child's readiness to enter school and the perception of this step as significant milestone in his life. Further, various forms of cooperation are presented, as well as programs and institutions that can support this cooperation. These include the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, the Czech School Inspectorate and programs Začít spolu, Rodiče vítání a Člověk v tísni. The practical part of the thesis presents the results of a qualitive research conducted at two selected schools. Through interviews with principals, teachers and parents, the thesis examines their experiences with different forms of cooperation, their perception of the effectiveness and benefits if these methods. Educational Programmes of the National Gallery and School Art Education

In this thesis I observe gallery education of primary school pupils within several educational programmes of National Gallery Prague. In the theoretical part I pursue gallery and museum education in general, its methods of implementation and its influence on education in schools. The research part of the work is processed by methods of the observation and semi-structured interviews with participants in the educational programmes. The conclusion is realized by preparation of the plan and partial implementation of the activities following the educational programmes for art education classes as the final part of gallery education. The aim of the thesis is to observe the process of particular gallery education and to describe the surrounding influences on its realisation.
