Adaptation of a beginning teacher in a special kindergarten

The topic of the diploma thesis is the adaptation of a novice teacher in a kindergarten for children with special needs. The thesis is divided into two parts - a theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with the definition of a novice teacher, the qualification prerequisites for the performance of the profession, his/her professional competences and professional activities. Furthermore, the conditions of education of children with special educational needs and the conditions and course of education in individual types of kindergartens established in accordance with § 16, paragraph 9 of the Education Act are described here. The aim of the practical part of the thesis was to describe the process of adaptation of selected novice teachers to perform the role of pedagogue in the environment of kindergartens or classes established according to § 16, paragraph 9 of the Education Act. Another goal was to describe how the introduction of novice teachers into practice is implemented from the point of view of the management of kindergartens with at least one class established according to § 16, paragraph 9 of the Education Act. The method of two types of semi-structured interviews was used for data collection, while the first type of interviews was conducted with novice teachers of these classes, and the second type of interviews with kindergarten principals or deputy principals for kindergartens.
Teacher's retrospective look at the beginnings in profession

The diploma thesis focuses on the issue of beginning teachers from the point of view of retrospective narration of selected teachers who have been working in practice for several years. The thesis outlines the sources of hardship for beginning teachers. It takes into account the age context of starting practice and gives some reasons why young teachers leave school. The main goal of this thesis is to identify key moments and situations in the practices of selected teachers. The main source of hardship was identified as the issue regarding discipline, the teachers were mainly supported by the interests and family, colleagues. Teachers remained in the profession mainly due to their interest in students and the possibility of self-development.
Novice Teacher 's Entrance into the Practice and the Initial Problems Associated with it

The diploma thesis describes the novice teachers' problems they have to face and are associated with their entrance into the practice. Its aim is to identify these problems via analysis, describe possible solution and suggest a support how to prevent these problems. The theoretical part focuses on a teacher as an individual, his or her quality and professional standards nowadays. Additionally, the thesis summarises any concerns the novice teachers might have, any problems and the support system available to them. This system stems from the educational preparation and a lifelong professional progress. The practical part of the thesis contains a qualitative research based on three resources - a questionnaire, an interview and an observation method. This part aims to analyse problems of novice teachers in the first month of their practice, their approaches to solution and available support provided to them. The purpose of the observation is to further elaborate the current problems of novice teachers and to form a view on how they are facing with them nowadays. Specifics of the work of a novice teacher when integrating a pupil with a different mother tongue at a Czech primary school

This thesis deals with the problematics of the work of a novice teacher, who has a pupil with a different mother tongue in his class. Its aim is to identify the specifics that usually accompany the work of novice teachers when integrating these pupils. The text is structured into two parts, each of which is further divided into several chapters. The first, theoretical, part compiles and then presents expert knowledge on migration, inclusion and then education of pupils with a different mother tongue and, last but not least, the role of the school as well as teachers in the process of integration of these children. It also sets out the criteria that affect and influence pupil integration with a different mother tongue. The second part of the thesis is practical. It contains an analysis of the work of two teachers who currently have pupils with a different mother tongue in their class and are trying to integrate them. It is focused on the specifics of working with them. The analysis of their work is carried out on the criteria set out at the end of the theoretical part of this thesis. Mentoring novice teachers in Finland

This thesis introduces a topic of mentoring of novice teachers in Finland. The main goal is to analyse a novice teachers peer-group mentoring model as a case study of project Paedeia Café and evaluate its advantages and disadvantages in comparison to dyadic form of mentoring. Further, to bring ideas for implementation of Finnish experiences into Czech context. In theoretical part, we define mentoring in teaching profession, then we briefly introduce specifics of Finnish education system, peer-group mentoring and Paedeia Café. The research part analyses interview with mentors, novice teachers and manager of the project as well as participating observations. The results of the study show that Paedeia Café is a project which connects experienced teachers and students in last years of their studies. The advantages of the project are financial savings and creation of a space for discussion about professional issues. Disadvantages are more difficult structure, confusion of mentor's roles and low support in academic literature. In the Czech Republic, we can be inspired by a connection of experienced teachers and students, also by a space for sharing teaching profession experience in informal atmosphere. Work of Drama Teacher the Beginner at the beginning of the school attendance.

This diploma thesis deals with theme of a work of a novice drama teacher at the beginning of school attendance. Specially in the first mid-term of the first class. The theoretical part is a vocational knowledge file which is the practical part based on. The thesis allows a deep view into the drama education. It will help us to learn about a child in the start of schooling and also the aims of the early education of the first mid-term. It also defines the drama education and its principles, goals and forms. The thesis describes an inclusion of drama education in FEP (for Elementary Education) and the ideal properties of a drama education teacher. It deals with an idea of dramatic game, system of the preparatory games and exercises. It does not only introduce methods and techniques of drama education, but it also helps us to create and plan the lessons, often with a use of literary basis. Practical part is based on an assumption or editing of ten lessons of drama education taught by a novice teacher. The lessons aim to develop friendly climate in a class, cooperation support, child social development and teaching of drama education with basic techniques. Problems of novice teachers

The diploma thesis with the title Problems of beginning teachers. This deals with the issues of beginning teachers during their first years of practice and it also points out the existing forms of support which are available to young teachers in their first years. The theoretical part describes who can be considered a beginning teacher and the preparations of beginning teachers in Czech Republic and abroad. It defines key pedagogical and professional competence problems that new teachers experience at the start of their career. It offers solutions on how to deal with common issues and it also points out the forms of support which is available. The empirical part analyses specific problems which can appear at the start of their careers. Methods used for this analysis consisted of a questionnaire of 70 new teachers and the interview of 2 new teachers from the same primary school. The objective of this method is to find out the problems facing new teachers which appear in the first 3 years of their practice and to see if these issues were the same as the concerns that they had before they started teaching.
