Current trends in teaching financial literacy for elementary school 2nd stage

The output of this diploma thesis is a teaching material for financial literacy classes at lower secondary schools. The content of the material is consistent with financial literacy standards defined in "Current trends in teaching financial literacy for elementary school 2nd stage". These standards are also implemented in the Framework Educational Program. The material consists of a theoretical background, set of problems and a suggestion of teaching methods.

The influence of the founders of public primary schools in small municipalities on the educational direction of the school Author: Bc. et Bc. Vojtěch Bílý ABSTRACT The thesis deals with the possible influence of founders of public primary school on the educational direction of the school. Although the law does not allow the direct influence of the founders on the management of the pedagogical process, there are a number of instruments by which the founders indirectly seek to apply their influence. In this work we first define the field of research, the state of the current knowledge of the subject and the basic concepts, and then we analyze the ways in which the founders use the influence, what pressure the school heads perceive and to what extent they are subject to it. In the practical part, we focus on primary schools in the Olomouc region in municipalities up to 5000 inhabitants where there is a prerequisite for the existence of only one school and there is usually a closer link between the school head and the mayor of the municipality. The practical part is based on questionnaires with the founders and the directors of the schools which are complemented with semi-structured interviews with the directors and the mayors of the municipalities. Role of school special educator at the intervention of pupils with special educational needs

The purpose of this diploma thesis is to investigate the advisory role of an elementary school special education teacher. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the activities and methods of the teacher's work, his position at school and his cooperation with other entities in supporting pupils with special education needs. The special activities are described in favour of pupils, groups of pupils and teachers. The purpose of this thesis is also to describe the development of the special education discipline, documentation and ethical aspects of this profession. The practical part is focused in the form of qualitative research on the Prague elementary school teacher's view of the special education teacher. The core of the research consists of analysis of five interviews with teachers at Prague school. Subsequently, the importance of the individual work in the form of intervention and therapeutic to be evaluated on basis of five case reports.
Support measures for pupils with communication disorder in inclusive education in elementary school

The thesis deals with effectivity of support programmes in inclusive primary education. In recent years, inclusive education is a frequent topic throughout our society. Providing the support programmes leads to increasing quality of education and ensuring equal conditions. The target group of the thesis consists of pupils with communication disabilities. The thesis aims to gather relevant data about given problems. The main objective is to evaluate the effectivity of support programmes on the pupils with communication disabilities. The partial task is to find out which support programmes are used most often by the primary schools. Quality approach was used to fulfil the objectives mentioned above and semistructured interview as a method of data collection. Interviews with pedagogical workers, who educate pupils with communication disabilities, were broadened and verified by analysing relevant documents. Gathered data were processed into ten case studies. Results of the research are rather positive - they point out meaningfulness, usefulness and regular using of support programmes during lessons. The pupils improve, and so their self-confidence grows accordingly. The research proves using several support programmes at once. Health promotion at the 1st Primary School

The bachelor thesis topic is "Health Promotion at the 1st Primary School". The goal is to find out how are fullfiled the RVP ZV criteria from heatlh promotion. For the research were selected two Primary Schools in the Central Bohemian village Dolní Břežany. The theoretical part deals with the concept of health and its determinants. It describes ways how to promote health and reasons for supporting it in whole population. Thesis defines the concept of health literacy and the possibility of its increase among pupils at the 1st Primary Schools. It also mentions how health support is anchored in the RVP ZV and how is possible to build up surroundings at School, which will promote health. Further shows pupil characteristics of the younger school age and its developmental specifications. In the practical part, the bachelor thesis finds out how are fullfiled the RVP ZV criteria from heatlh promotion at two selected Primary schools. To achieve this it was used a qualitative survey based on two structured interviews for pupils at 1st Primary School and their teachers. Interviews were recorded to the recording device after that they were transferred to electronic version. In the conclusion part all acquired answers are evaluated and there are proposed few projects how to promote health.
Differences between the homogenous and heterogenous classes arranged at maternity schools, plus the influence of these arrangements on the child's preparedness to enter the first grade of elementary school.

Résumé This thesis deals with finding differences between homogeneously and heterogeneously assorted classes in nursery schools and their influence on the readiness of a child to enter the first class in elementary school. The theoretical part focuses on school maturity and readiness, general characterization of a pre-school child before entering the first class in elementary school, differences between heterogeneously and homogeneously assorted classes in nursery schools and finally on a child's preparedness for the compulsory education. The practical part shows the results of a research carried out by the means of an author's test of school maturity method and a questionnaire. The research sample consisted of children of pre-school age before entering elementary schools from heterogeneous and homogeneous nursery school classes and pedagogues from nursery and elementary schools. The main objective of this research was to find out which children are better prepared for entering elementary school, whether from homogeneous or heterogeneous classes in nursery schools. The diploma thesis deals with the content of work of class teachers at the 2nd level of elementary schools. The aim of the thesis is to describe the content of the work and the legislative definition of the function of class teacher on the basis of professional literature, its competences necessary for the performance of this function and the duties connected with it. In the theoretical part is described the development and legal definition of the teaching profession. Furthermore, classroom function, class social structure and possible methods of pupil discipline support. The research part describes and analyzes the experience of class teachers with whom the interview was conducted, monitoring their perception of this function, positive and negative experiences. The purpose of the interviews is to penetrate deeper into the current problems of class teachers and to learn how they are currently facing them. The conclusion of the thesis is an analysis of these experiences. The first part summarizes the theoretical knowledge necessary for understanding the next part of the thesis. The second part is devoted to the actual research and its results. The aim of the thesis is to introduce the reader to the current form of the teacher-parent relationship from the point of view of selected teachers through their individual experience. This is achieved through mixed methods research - surveys and semi-structured interviews with selected respondents. The results of this thesis allow the reader to be knowledgeable in the current form of functioning of the teacher-parent re- lationship at the secondary level of elementary schools in the Czech Republic.
