Evaluation of industrial heritage

The main subject is evaluation of effective use in terms of care (not only within protection of monuments) in order to save and protect industrial heritage. Pointing out on critical issues connected with the end of production of traditional branches which played the key role in historical development of our cities. Nowadays abandoned buildings and sites are represented by memory of the place or its prosperity. New owners often don't share the positive approach to the industrial heritage, developers are seeking new sites, cities and inhabitants have developed new needs through the time. The work will demonstrate examples within European context and will make recommendations in monitoring and classification of industrial heritage to prevent undo able losses.
Set of excercises for data acquisition,analysis and processin course

The subcontractor’s role in construction projects

The goal of the Bachelor’s thesis is to create an overview of the methods of planning and management of subcontracts for a construction company and to formulate the organization of a construction project, which is based on a specific project with subcontractors, both in terms of time and money. The introduction describes the subcontracts and how to work with them in the company. In addition, it describes the legalities surrounding the basic contracts. The Diamant project on Wenceslas Square is described in detail in the practical part. The project’s structure, function, approval of component parts, schedule, and financial evaluation are also described. The thesis will emphasize on the organization and management of subcontracts.
The Evaluation of pedagogical staff

The topic of the diploma thesis is the evaluation of teaching staff. The aim of the thesis is to describe the evaluation tools used for evaluation of teaching staff in private primary and secondary schools in the Czech Republic and to propose an optimisation of the evaluation system based on the results. The thesis provides a comprehensive overview of the issue of teacher evaluation and presents a summary of methods of teacher evaluation that can be used to improve the quality of education. In the theoretical part, concepts such as forms, criteria, functions, process and methods of evaluation are introduced. The specific aspects of teacher evaluation and the importance of communication of evaluation results to staff, mistakes of evaluators and evaluated, as well as evaluation principles, new trends in this field and possible uses of evaluation results are described. The practical part of the thesis is based on a questionnaire survey among principals of private primary and secondary schools. The results show that lesson observations and self-evaluation are the most commonly used tools for teacher evaluation. Embedding Formative Assessment in English Language Teaching in Primary School

This diploma thesis is focused on embedding the formative assessment in English language teaching in primary school. It focuses on formative assessment strategies and their implementation in foreign language teaching. It specifies the learning aims, criteria, communication in the classroom including the efficient questioning, feedback, peer- assessment and self-assessment. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis deals with the school assessment, it describes the typology, the forms and the functions of assessment. It also deals with the theme of ability to learn foreign language with regard to cognitive, social and emotional, and physical growth of children. The third chapter of the theoretical part describes the key strategies of formative assessment. The empirical part explores the process of embedding the formative assessment strategies into the primary education. The collection of particular techniques is embodied in this part of the thesis. Establishment's evaluation of primary and pre-primary school's headmasters

The work deals with the question of the evaluation of nursery and primary schools' headmasters. The aim is to examine the evaluation systems of the establisher and, subsequently, to compare the theory and the practice of the human resources management. The theoretical part of the work proceeds of the general knowledge in the human resources management and informs about the education system's problems as a specific branch. The research is conducted by the method of the content analysis of the randomly chosen sample of documents. The documents determine rules for the evaluation of nursery and primary schools' headmasters. The research shows that to create a system which could cover all the aspects of headmaster's work and, of course, could lead to the constant improving of their work results, isn't easy for the establishers at all. The manual of headmasters' evaluation - it is the results of this work - could help to make it better. It provides the basic information and advice, including the suggestion of evaluation standards, for the establishers.
Formative Assessment

This dissertation thesis is focused on the theme of formative assessment on a secondary level of education. The aim of this thesis is to define formative assessment and to show how it is implemented to the teaching process of the Czech language and literature on a secondary level of education. The theoretical part presents a review based on major international and national sources. Formative assessment is defined as an evaluation which brings valuable information concerning the knowledge and skills of the given pupil during the process of education. The typology and function of formative assessment, questions linked to its successful implementation are elaborated together with this methods: goals, criteria, feedback, self-assessment and peer assessment. The aim of the empirical part is to define the real form of the implementation of formative assessment in six targeted Czech schools. This thesis also presents the attitude of students towards the implementation of this method. A qualitative research method was chosen and a multiple case study was used as a form of research strategy. The data collection consisted of observation, document analysis and interviews with teachers and pupils.
