Education of skating for preschool children

TITLE: Education of skating for preschool children AUTHOR: Lada Žáčková DEPARTMENT: Physical Education Department SUPERVISOR: PaedDr. Ladislav Pokorný ABSTRACT: This master thesis mapping of skating lessons for preschool children. It's include specific preschool age, education concept, training and movement preschool children, methodics of skating and skate's preparations of lessons. The aim of this work was mapping of teaching basic skate's elements which it's organized different institutions, whether the children achieved comparable results, if they have same items and same level from beginner, whether proposed model of instruction used in other skating sports and if they reach a certain level of skating. On the basic of finding, coach's experience and literature it's suggested optimal model 's education of skating for preschool children, which it's verification and comparing in practise. Work is based on a questionnaire survey among coaches and experiment in this age group. The results of my work responded positively to the requirements. Preswimming preparation in kindergarten Žalany and its impact on the next level of basic swimming skills in the 1st class of primary school

This thesis focuses on the methodological approaches in teaching basic swimming skills with children of preschool and school age in Primary school and Kindergarten Žalany. In the theoretical part is all about teaching children swimming. There are described characteristics of preschool and school age with its specifics. Conclusion of the theoretical part focuses on teaching children swimming in the Czech republic according to applicable standards. The practical part is focused on examining the impact of pre-swimming preparation in Kindergarten Žalany in comparative tests with children in the 1st class of Primary school Žalany. The main methods of the research are to observation, scoring the level of basic swimming skills with the subsequent processing of the data obtained. Parental separation and awarding custody of pre-school aged child

This thesis focuses on the topic of parental separation and awarding custody of pre-school and early-school aged children. In the theoretical part the specifics of each developmental stage and also of the mother's and father's role are described. In the following chapter the thesis focuses on the process of parental separation, its phases, causes and its influence on children. Also the most typical phenomenons and risks connected with this complicated situation are mentioned. Not to be forgotten, the legal side of the process is also included. The thesis contains empirical part, in which structured interviews with social workers were led, in order to map current trends, the most serious risks, the possibilities of different forms of custody and the role of psychologists in parental separation in the Czech environment. Support for the development of a child with specific language impairment

The thesis focuses on the theme of the specific language impairment (developmental dysphasia). This thesis consists of the theoretical and the empirical part. The theoretical part is made up of of three main chapters. The first chapter deals with terms: communication, specific language impairment and speech development. The second chapter presents the terminological definition of the specific language impairment (developmental dysphasia), its etiology, symptomatology, diagnosis and therapy. The third chapter discusses issues of the preschool age. The empirical part is covered in the fourth chapter. It contains a case study, which is focusing on a young boy with specific language impairment and in detail it describes family situation, the boy's personal case history and also his psychomotor and speech development. Further, the thesis focuses on support provided to his development and evaluates progress after year of intensive care. A part of this paper are worksheets focusing on the development of the child with this kind of communication disability. Worksheets consist of five sections that should help to improve skills of child with the specific language impairment. Perception of strengths and difficulties with children with the risk of development of literacy struggles

This bachelor thesis was executed by data collection within the ELDEL project in form of a questionnaire SDQ (Goodman, 1999). This questionnaire was designed by a pediatric neurologist and psychiatrist Robert Goodman, who expanded earlier created questionnaire for parents by Michael Rutter (Rutter scale for completion by parents - A scale). This questionnaire aimed for parents with children with specific language impairment, children with family risk of Dyslexia and children with typical development. SQD questionnaire was a part of a battery, which parents underwent within the ELDEL project. The aim of this bachelor thesis was to find out, whether there is a statistically significant difference in the parents perception of their children between individual groups. In the individual scales, which are included in the SDQ questionnaire, in the overall score or between the score of individual groups. There were 133 children in the experimental sample, which this bachelor thesis examines. These children were divided into 3 groups based on information retrieved from their parents. Potential risks of joint custody of pre-school child

The present bachelor's thesis deals with the possible risks of joint custody of preschool children. At the beginning there are some notes on family and the factors which can lead to its break-up. Then the three possible after-divorce arrangements which are allowed by the current legal regulation of the Czech Republic are defined and described. The core of the thesis is the chapter on joint custody, which describes its most frequently cited advantages and shortcomings which also presents previous research into this topic. The next chapter describes selected areas of the preschool period of child development, which are linked to the divorce of the parents, and to the pros and cons of joint custody. Emphasis is placed on the risks of this after-divorce arrangement, which should be taken into account by parents, as well as by courts. The final part of the thesis is the proposal for a research project in this field.
Assessment and Development of Visual Perception in Preschool Children

Thesis Assessment and Development of Visual Perception in Preschool Children responds to the need of broader selection of standardized tools designed for the assessment of actual development of visual perception in preschool children, especially in relation to the assessment of school readiness. The main aim of the thesis is standardization of a new assessment tool. Complementary aim is also to design and evaluate a new intervention program supporting development of selected areas of visual perception for children before and at the beginning of their school attendance. In its theoretical part thesis scrutinizes current findings in the area of visual perception and its relation to basic academic skills, especially reading. The explorative part of thesis presents standardization study based on classical model of Test theory consisting of convergent validity and reliability evaluation of proposed test and setting national norms for four age groups (from 5 to 7 years). Normative group covered 1234 participants.
