The School Climate and its Relationship to the professional Satisfaction and Health of the Pedagogical Staff

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of school climate and its relationship to the professional satisfaction and health of teachers. In the broader context, this paper deals with the relationship between the work environment represented by school climate and the two dimensions of subjective quality of life and personal well-being - happiness and satisfaction in the profession and job, and health-related quality of life. The theoretical part presents the definition of and theoretical bases for school climate, it also deals with methodological issues associated with its research. Professional satisfaction is presented from the viewpoint of positive psychology and operationalized as happiness. The chapter concerning health summarizes different concepts of health and disease, and presents the aspects of health which are relevant to the teaching profession. The project "Škola podporující zdraví" (Health promoting school) is presented at the end of the chapter. Analysis of a beginning teacher and his common problems in an educational process

Thesis "Beginning teacher - analysis of his personality, work and the most common problems in his work" deals with the personality of a beginning teacher, mentions the most common problems in his work and tries to find ideas for improving the situation. As the same times in analyses the selected components of his personality, which usually participates the lack of attention, especially in preparing future teachers, and which usually not mentioned in proper context. It focuses primary on the professional competence of teachers in relation to the student's core competencies as well as in other contexts. It also discusses the role of novice teachers in the context of the transformation of the Czech education system and also in the context of the Lisbon process. Analyses of key documents are included too. Great attention is paid to think about the different problematic areas concerning the work of novices teachers. In this context, the author focuses on the matter of authority and educational styles. It is based not only on the special literature but also on the sound, which took the form of numerous interview, surveys, questionnaires and observation. Diploma thesis follows stress factors impact on a child at primary school, on his health and mental conditions and then the implication of the learning process and integrating the child into a children's collective. The theoretical part contains information dealing with forms of stress in general, potential stressors for the child, the consequences of stress on the human organism. The practical part investigates the experiences with stress factors of pupils that are somehow connected with their school life. Jiří Trunda Summary: This Bachelor Thesis is focused on studying the influence of the replacement of a kindergarten's director on its culture and on the character of the employees' expectations regarding the new director. In its theoretical part the thesis is aimed at describing and defining its main topics, i.e. school culture and the influence of management replacement on school culture. School culture does not change only with time or with the changes of the outside environment. The replacement of the director may significantly change both the internal and external views of the school's existing culture. The degree of the organization's employees' satisfaction as well as their opinions, procedures, working conditions, etc. are important parts of the school's culture, which change when the management is changed. The research part of the thesis describes the employees' expectations after the director of the observed nursery has been replaced and their attitude to the change. The diploma thesis is focused on interpersonal relations in curriculum at chosen primary school. Both formal and informal curriculum of the lower secondary school are studied here and also the integration of the interpersonal issues. The social psychology importance in the influence of the social background issue on upbringing and education of children is described in theoretical part of this thesis, just as the application of the social psychology in pedagogy for understanding children and adolescents in their pupils' social circumstanced, integration of the interpersonal issues in the teaching document - curriculum, chosen primary schools and term definition in the form of literary research. Practical part is divides into two sections. The first section includes quantitative research accomplished among teachers and pupils at lower secondary school by the qualitative method, in which teachers and pupils answer questions. The questionnaires survey the point of view from both sides of teachers and pupils and mutual interaction. Teachers and pupils assess everybody they meet daily. Family and school cooperation

The diploma thesis deals with the mutual cooperation of the family and the special elementary school. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part I deal with family and school cooperation, defining the concept of family, its functions and duties. The second chapter of this part consists of education of pupils with mental retardation. Here I'm going to explain the term of mental retardation, the causes of its origin, the dividing and the characteristics of the special elementary school. The last chapter of the theoretical part presents the model of the school holding the "Parents welcome" certificate. In the practical part I deal with specific research of family cooperation and special elementary school in Čáslav. The research is conducted through questionnaires and interviews. Also, I compare the requirements for awarding the "Parents welcome" brand to the forms of collaboration of a particular school. I'll find out if the Special School in Čáslav meets these criteria. Bullying in practice: School classroom through the eyes of students, teachers and parents

The aim of the research was to present a dynamic and vivid image of bullying, an image of a class that is affected by bullying. This means to define the form of bullying in the class at the second stage of elementary school, as it was captured in two similar cases, its development and solutions at different levels. This also means examining the phenomenon of exclusion from the class team, finding out the views of students, parents and teachers in a mutual systemic and temporal connection. Observation and keeping a research diary, questionnaires, group and individual semi-controlled interviews were used as methods for data collection. It was a mixed methodology. An ethnographic approach was chosen as the basic framework for this research, where the researcher was attending 2 elementary schools for one school year. The results of the research showed how essential is the correct qualification of what is happening in the classroom, resp. confessing something, as it really is, is a better option than fogging up and pretending that things are ok. Further, based on the results, we can assume that the climate of the classroom is determined by the general climate of the school, which has an impact on the resulting solution of the existing problem.
