Realization of inclusive education in elementary schools in the Czech educational system

The master's thesis will analyze the current form and implementation of the principle of inclusive education in Czech elementary schools. The work will focus not only on the form of inclusive education itself, but also take into account its legislative basis in our country and compare it with the legislation of other countries that use it. The work will discuss the everyday reality of inclusion in elementary school, when the case study method will be used. The situation during the Covid-19 pandemic, which concerned inclusive education with many challenges, will also be taken into account. Assistant of teacher at an elementary school for children with specific learning disabilities

The thesis is divided into two parts. The first, theoretical part is divided into three chapters, which describe specific learning disabilities, education of pupils with specific learning disabilities and last part deals with the teaching assistant. The second part is practically oriented and the main one is to determine whether pupils third grade elementary school teacher's assistant fruitful work and whether his work reflected on the quality of pupils' school work and their results. Special educational support for children with multiple disabilities in preschool

Annotation: Specifically pedagogical support of the child with developmental dysphasia and visual impairment in pre- school age Bachelor thesis deals with the special educational support of the child with developmental dysphasia and visual disabilities integrated in pre-school. The aim of the work was to monitor the progress of the integration of this child, the development of its capabilities, describe the specifics of the pedagogical approach, the interaction of the surroundings of the child with a problematic verbal manifestation, the adoption of an integrated child in the classroom the other children and teachers and to record any change in the climate in the team. I also watched the potential risks, which may in the integration to occur. The submitted work is in the theoretical part, consisting of a summary of the findings on the development dysphasia, the visual and the combined disability. Further it introduce into the topic of care and education of a child with disabilities and integration into the school facilities, with a focus on the integration of pre-school age, including the individual education plan and assistant teacher. Adaptation of Romany children at elementary school

The work deals with the problem of adaptation of Romany children at Czech elementary school. It is difficult for these children to interact with the environment of Czech schools due to differences in social and cultural spheres. Czech school often does not take into account these differences are not adequately prepared for high quality work with them. There is a lack of school readiness of Romany children, differences in language skills, cultural and social habits, and family backgrounds. The first part is outlining the historical context. It also discusses the relation between adaptation of Romany children at primary schools and language skills, social background and education in the Romany families and access to education in these families. A separate chapter is devoted to social exclusion and its effect on education of these children. At the conclusion of the work it comes with the now-established strategies that facilitate the education of Romany children. They are multicultural education, preparing grades and teaching assistant.
Issue of integrating children from socially disadvantaged ambience to nursery school

The diploma thesis "Issue of integrating children from socially disadvantaged ambience to nursery school" deals with the inclusive process of children from the socio-economically disadvantaged environment placed to nursery schools. The thesis describes the legislative framework of inclusion and the social environment of the Czech society. This work also deals with the Roma community, which makes up a large proportion of people with socio-economic disadvantage. It defines the role of the teacher in the inclusion of children from a socially disadvantaged environment and the position of the teacher assistant. The research part deals with the inclusive process of specific children at nursery school in the city with high unemployment. It also monitors the approach of individuals involved in the inclusive process and suggests possible changes that could lead to its improvement.
Teaching assistant at the primary school

The thesis deals with the function of a teacher's assistant in a primary school. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part, I focus on inclusive education, which is related to students with special educational needs. The second chapter of the theoretical part deals with the teaching assistants, their qualification, and personal prerequisites. I also deal with the role and activities of assistants in primary school and their job. The third part is devoted to cooperation between teachers and assistants. I present the possible benefits and risks of this cooperation. Due to the current epidemy of coronavirus, I focused the practical part on the cooperation between assistants and teachers during distance learning. I used the method of semi-structured interviews. The results of my research show that each cooperation was handled differently. Most teachers are aware of the benefits of this cooperation and have involved and collaborated with assistants even during distance learning, during which the assistants acted not only as support for kids with SEN. Teachers'attitudes towards mental hygiene in special school

This thesis deals with teachers' attitudes towards mental hygiene in a special primary school for pupils with severe and multiple disabilities. It aims to describe and understand attitudes towards mental hygiene at a cognitive, emotional and conative level. Theoretical part of the thesis describes special primary school, the profession of teachers, summarizes the theoretical knowledge of mental hygiene and defines attitude. The thesis further contains qualitative research, which uses the method of semi-structured interview and answers the research question. According to the results of the research, teachers in special primary school have positive attitudes towards mental hygiene at all levels. Their opinions, thoughts and ideas coincide with findings from professional literature. For the teachers, mental hygiene is associated with pleasant emotions. Using the tools and techniques of mental hygiene helps them to minimize the psychological demands of their profession. KEYWORDS mental hygiene, attitude, special school, teacher, assistant teacher

Druhá kapitola popisuje vzdělávání žáků se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami. Kapitola zprostředkovává pohled na žáky se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami a na podpůrná opatření. Options education of children with disabilities in pre-school education in Soběslav

This bachelor thesis deals with possibilities of children with physical disabilities in pre-school education in Soběslav city. The main aim of this thesis was to map out current possibilities of education of these children. There is a theoretical and a research part in this thesis. Within first four chapters, the author introduces theoretical background for following chapters. The first chapter contains definitions for terms "health" and "physical disability". Second chapter dives deeper into children cerebral palsy, specifically its sources, forms and most common related disabilities. Third chapter specifies kindergarten, special kindergarten for children with disabilities and role of a pedagogical assistant. Last chapter of theoretical part contains definitions of terms inclusion and integration, legislative framework of inclusive education in kindergarten and individual educational plan. Empirical part contains specific options for education of children with physical disabilities within pre-school education in Soběslav city. Main research question is: What are the options for education of children with physical disability within pre-school education in Soběslav city? To fulfill goals of this research and answering the main topic questions the author introduces a qualitative research utilizing semi-structured interview and questioning method. The research involved interviews with three respondents, all being directors of kindergartens in Soběslav city. The research was realized in several phases from initial planning to results evaluation. First, questions were defined for the interviews. The interviews were electronically recorded and transcribed word by word. Results have been put together following the topic structure. The research shows that key actions when educating children with physical disabilities are timely and quality diagnose, suitable support controls and support from a pedagogical assistant. This bachelor thesis can be used not only as a source of information about options for pre-school education of children with a physical disability in Soběslav city. The results can also be inspiring for early care and special pedagogical center. Parents might also use it to choose the right pre-school institution for their children.
