Implementation of methods of critical thinking in teaching photosynthesis

This study discuss two phenomenones. The first phenomenon is photosynthesis; this process played a key role in the emergence of life and is necessary to maintain a various life on our Earth. Photosynthesis enables plants to use a bottomless supply of solar energy to produce organic substance and release oxygen. The second phenomenon is critical thinking; the ability to sort and evaluate new information and form "your" own opinion indispensable ability for modern human. In a theoretical part of the study is dealt with term critical thinking, teaching methods of critical thinking and photosynthesis of biological and didactic point of view. In a practical part of the study is dealt with compilation and verification materials for thematic unit of photosynthesis, which would lead to the development of critical thinking of high school pupils (students). Furthermore in the practical part is a questionnaire survey, which is evaluated existing using of methods of critical thinking at biology teachers at high schools and is analyzed their teaching methods to the topic of photosynthesis. In the study is dealt with processing the topic of photosynthesis in selected high school textbooks.

Child Sexual Abuse Syndrome

Thesis CSA syndrome in children, examines current issues of sexual abuse and its consequences. The theoretical section deals with the history of sexual abuse, contemporary view on this issue and the legal treatment of offenders and victims. Furthermore, thesis acquaints readers with various types of sexual abuse and marginally with commercial abuse. The aim of the research in the practical section of the thesis is to ascertain the level of awarness of students in this issues, together with their own personal experience concerning sexual abuse and whether they have any sexually abused person in their vicinity. The quantitative research was conducted at the elementary school Drtinova.

Innovative teaching methods in the Czech language teaching at the upper primary school

The thesis is divided into theoretical and research part practical. The theoretical part focuses on the description and presentation of teaching methods and current trends used in teaching. A special chapter introduces the innovative methods that are currently used in teaching the Czech language at upper primary schools and the possibility of their practical application. The main aim of the research is to identify the attitude of the Czech language teachers at second level of elementary school to innovative teaching methods. The practical part consists of a research using quantitative research methodologies, implemented as the questionnaire survey.

Music and Movedent Education on the Background of Orff-Schulwerk, Libuše Kurková and Her Contribution to Music and Movement Education

The diploma thesis "Music-Movement Education on the Background of Orff Schulwerk. Libuše Kůrková and Her Contribution to Music-Movement Education." describes in detail the circumstances of Orff Schulwerk's origins and its spreading in pedagogical practice of music-movement education for preschool and young school children. It also speaks about the development of Orff's ideas in the Czech educational milieu. Its main focus, however, is upon the professional evolution and work of Libuše Kůrková. The work discovers her sources of inspiration (Duncan, Jeřábková, Orff) and thus gives an account of the development of music-movement education from the perspective of one of the pioneers of modern approach to music-movement education. The thesis gives a detailed portrait of Libuše Kurková's life, praises her as a creator of an original approach to elementary music and dance education for preschool children. It also presents her as one of the most distinctive figures of musicmotion education in this country. The thesis is meant to be especially useful for students and teachers of music-movement classes who can understand the irreplaceable function of aesthetic education for a healthy and harmonious child's development.

Exlusion from classroom community

This thesis deals with the problem of exclusion from classroom among teenagers. The exclusion is usually accompanied by different kinds of maltreatment that quite often lead to bullying. In the theoretical part of the work the author summarizes different theories explaining the process of exclusion from a group considering age specificities of pubescent pupils that may facilitate such group features. The thesis further looks at a research on bullying in classrooms in great detail. In the practical part the athor investigates answers to the question, why somebody in the class is maltreated and which are the risky factors supporting the exclusion. It was revealed that classmates were most commonly excluded by the use of verbal aggression (name-calling, jeers, nick names etc.), further pupils stated that the victims were "unlike" and "heckling". There were also different risky factors depending mostly on gender and to a lesser degree on age and type of school. The hypothesis that the number of maltreated pupils would grow considerably with the increasing number of classmates, was not verified.

Analysis of selected geography tests

This work aims to use of educational tests in geography. After literature analysis is made a set of criteria for quality assessment tests. Subsequently, the selected criteria are used to evaluate selected geographical tests. Part of research is a questionnaire survey of teachers, which is focused on ways of testing pupils. The experts are pushing to critically address the educational community with regard to the poor situation of testing in schools. At the same time is currently preparing a new state school leaving examination and the question arises whether the proposed illustrative test leaving examination of geography is a step forward. After analyzing this test, noting that this problem in terms of the revised Bloom's taxonomy higher than commonly used tests that were evaluated in the next section. Yet 37.5% of jobs do not qualify in terms of clarity and correctness of the award. Analysis of the test group of 23 normal school practice even harder hit. Conducted survey showed that the methods of testing in schools are very similar. So we can expect that the quality of tests is in most schools at a low level. Despite the number of errors is a new concept of leaving the test step forward, although highly uncertain, lies a shift in quality is evident from the final analysis. Keywords: Educational...

Architectural monuments of the Příbram region

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze monuments in the Příbram region and raise awareness of architectural styles. An educational tour is created as an example on one of the landmarks. The tour focuses on pupils of elementary schools. The tour can be use in practice and can be used in educational system. Tourism of the Czech Republic, tourism of the Central Bohemian region and architectural styles are mentioned in theoretical part of the thesis. Practical part includes chosen monuments and educational programme CO JE TO ZA SLOH?.

Use of oral history in the history lessons

This work describes the use of oral history in history classes in elementary schools. It is a combination of history didactics and methodology of oral history. This work should be the instruction for including oral history into the lessons. Its aim is to prove that this method can be used even with children under the age of sixteen years and it is beneficial for them. Work was based on delimitation of oral-historical sources which are primary and secondary. Segmentation is based on the availability of sources to the students, if they can meet witness in person or they are familiar with his memories indirectly. The parts of the work are also two specific suggestions for the projects which use oral history.

Financial Education in Primary Schools

The subject of the thesis is to analyze the "Financial literacy in elementary schools", focused on the second stage of elementary school, 6th -- 9th class of Klatovy. Theoretical and methodological part of the thesis describes financial literacy, its allocation to cash, cost and budget literacy. Furthermore, it gives the demographic, political and economic reasons for the implementation of financial education and the social and psychological aspects of human behavior in relation to financial literacy. The application part is focused on the comparison of curricula for elementary schools, which have the second stage of Klatovy. This part will be followed by a survey, which is the basic framework of the application part. There are three defined hypotheses, which are confirmed by the conclusions of this section. The questionnaire survey helped to show the real state of financial education at district of Klatovy.

Subject and didactic analysis of subject matter about basic stock accounting

This bachelor thesis is focused on subject and didactic analysis of subject matter about basic stock accounting in the first concentric circle of accounting as the school subject at business high schools. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The former is focused primarily on accounting teaching method itself. It includes legislative framework, which is used during the teaching of accounting, then organization of the subject matter together with didactic principles and didactic aids. The latter provides didactic analysis of subject matter about basic stock accounting. It includes also some recommendations about how to proceed the interpretation of a certain topic through the use of different charts, table and exercises, that are given to students.
