Synthesis of Zinc (II) Aryloxy Tetraquinoxalinoporphyrazines
Vůjtěch, Petr ; Zimčík, Petr (advisor) ; Kopecký, Kamil (referee)
A B S T R A C T Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Kralové Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Drug Control Candidate: Mgr. Petr Vůjtěch Consultant: PharmDr. Petr Zimčík Ph.D. Title of Thesis: Synthesis of Zinc (II) Aryloxy Tetraquinoxalinoporphyrazines The aim of my master thesis was synthesis of tetra[6,7]quinoxalinoporhyrazine derivative (TQP). Advantage of TQP is bathochromic shift when compared to azaphthalocyanines (AzaPc), which is more appropriate for PDT. AzaPc and TQP derivatives are large planar and conjugated systems, which tend to form aggregates. The aggregation is unfavorable property of TQP derivatives that reduces the singlet oxygen quantum yield. The most effective strategy to increase the ratio monomer/aggregates involves the use of bulky substituents attached to the TQP periphery. That is the reason why I focused on synthesis of 2,3,11,12,20,21,29,30-octa(2,6-diisopropyphenoxy)-tetra [6,7]qinoxalinoporphyrazinato zinc(II). Alkoxides cannot be used for cycloteramerization of aryloxy derivatives due to the well-described transetherification problems. As was shown in my diploma thesis the best way to synthesis of aryloxy derivatives of AzaPc is reaction with Zn(quinoline)2Cl2 in a melt. That is why this method was applied also for TQP derivatives. Kinetic of...

Synthesis of xanthone derivates for in vitro and in vivo biological activity studies
Široká, Jitka ; Zimčík, Petr (advisor) ; Opletalová, Veronika (referee)
Synthesis of xanthone derivatives for in vitro and in vivo biological activity studies J. Siroka Xanthone derivatives are heterocyclic compounds with the dibenzo-γ-pyrone as the main molecular moiety. They contain different types of substituents in different positions, leading to a large variety of pharmacological activities. 3,4-Dihydroxyxanthone was revealed as a hit compound in a study involving the investigation of the inhibitory effect of oxygenated xanthones on several human tumor cell lines. In order to obtain enough quantity for in vivo assays and for further molecular modifications, the synthesis of 3,4-dihydroxyxanthone was accomplished: the condensation of 1,2,3-trimethoxyphenol with the appropriate substituted benzoyl chloride (2-methoxybenzoyl chloride) afforded benzophenone (2-hydroxy-2',3,4- trimethoxy benzophenone) which was further cyclized to give 3,4-dimethoxyxanthone. The 3,4-dimethoxyxanthone was demethylated to furnish 3,4- dihydroxyxanthone. Additionally, the synthesis of reactive formylated derivatives of xanthones, 1- formyl-3,4-dihydroxyxanthone and 1-formyl- 3,4-dimethoxyxanthone, was attempted by Duff formylation. Only 1-formyl-3,4- dihydroxyxanthone was obtained. Due to a small amount of 3,4-dihydroxyxanthone obtained from the first synthesis, the synthesis was repeated...

Near duplicate detection in large document collections
Benčík, Daniel ; Kopecký, Michal (referee) ; Pecina, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with the problematics of detecting documents, which are so similair one to another, that we can consider them to be (nearly) identical and that in collections having up to millions of documents. The greatest aim of this thesis is a comparison of new, fast algorithms designed to solve this task with current algorithms, which due to their complexitiy cannot be used for large collections. The thesis contains an implementation of both new and current methods of solving the given task toghether with applications that are designed to experimentally compare these methods.

The desk study related to six large-sized drawing whose core topic is a Way. The only mark is to involve all inspirational sources and the other possibly outfalls of issue as well. From the way and travelling in its historical process to up-to-date wandering touched with transmaterial overlap. Various religion are pointed at the one clerical objective and call this objective by many various characters. The God, Allah or Zarathustra. This study offers a brief account of correspondencies of religion mentioned above and its reflect in an ordinary life from birth over death to rebirth.

Assessment of variability of the facial shape in Czech population
Šmahelová, Dana ; Blažek, Vladimír (referee) ; Velemínská, Jana (advisor)
Human face is one of the elements in which humans' variability and individuality is reflected. This is especially due to a face variability of shape. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate variability of human's face and its sexual dimorphism. The base for the study is a set of 50 females with average age 21,6 and 50 males with average age 21,1. The data set was processed using the methods of geometric morphometrics. The main outcome is an average surface model of males and females which could be used in biomedical and forensic antropology. In this data set, variability of face is set by differences of size, height and width including characteristics which shows significant sexual dimorphism. The male's forhead is slighlty arched with markedly developed superciliary and the area of glabella. There is deeper position of eyes in an eye socket. Males are also likely to have a wide and flat nose with sharper transition of frontal bone (os frontale) into nasal bones (os nasale). Generally, males have bigger and relativelly more narrow face with slightly prominent zygomatic bones (os zygomaticum). Males also have less volume of face soft tissues. On the other hand, males have more massive area of low face with more highlihted musculature around oral cavity which become into a wide prominent chin. Key...

Geology of Golden mountains
Buryánková, Radka ; Andreska, Jan (referee) ; Teodoridis, Vasilis (advisor)
This bachelor work is summary of the available geology and mineralogy information on geology and mineralogy of Golden mountains area. Rychleby Mountains are situated in the north of Moravia and Silesia. The mountain belongs to the Lusatian (lugikum) and the Silesian region (moravosilesikum) from the regional geological division of the Bohemian Massif. There isn't uniform view at a more detailed breakdown of the studied area (see e. g. Pouba 1962; Kachlík 2003). However representation of rocks of different age and character in all sub-units Golden Mountains are very varied. Highly metamorphosed rocks of Proterozoic age are among the most common rocks of this area. Dating all the rocks in whole region is problematic due to the high degree of metamorphism and the absence of fossils. From the mineralogical point of view is best explored Silesian part of Golden Mountains with the remains of a large number of mines and quarries in the crystalline limestone, deposits of iron ore, graphite and uranium.

Design and development of project management application
Burian, Vojtěch ; Kunstová, Renáta (advisor) ; Vonka, Martin (referee)
In these days, many activities of entities belonging to both public and private sector which require certain level of organization and cooperation are being carried out in the form of project. Despite of great effort of project workers, large part of these projects does not meet previously set basic project development criteria. Project success rate is however critical factor that plays a major role in company's overall competitive ability. Project management area is therefore gaining significantly more importance today. Complexity of this discipline makes it also ideal for placement of information technologies. At the same time new requirements which reflect a current trend in ICT development are being introduced though. Aim of this work is to design a concept and also develop a first functional version of project management software application within my placement in NetGenium inc., which focus on development of web applications and information systems. This work is based on requirements specified by company management and also other requirements specified by author himself. These requirements are formed on the basis of theoretical study and analysis of selected project management applications. Final application will be integrated into the current business information system "NET Genium ERP - enterprise resource planning" and named "NET Genium PM".

Jeřábková, Zuzana ; Votava, Libor (advisor) ; Dvořák, Jiří (referee)
My Bachelor Work is concerned with acquisition finance, gets us acquainted with determination of terms of acquisition and acquisition finance. It describes characteristics of acquisition finance, objectives and purpose of acquisitions and further in the theoretical part does not omit legal aspects of acquisition finance within the jurisdiction of the Czech Republic. The practical part is concerned with the two most frequent methods of acquisition finance. In its first part there is described a project with involvement of not just one bank in the acquisition financing due to its large scale. In its second part there is a kind of easier project involving just one bank. The reader will be oriented in pros and cons of acquisition finance in the conclusion of the Work, from prospective of an investor as well as of a bank and will learn about the risk assessments.

Identifikace peptidického konjugátu s toxickým metabolitem paracetamolu N-acetyl-p-benzochinon iminem
Landíková, Kateřina ; Mladěnka, Přemysl (advisor) ; Vopršalová, Marie (referee)
Acetaminophen (paracetamol) is one of the most used analgesic drug. It is considered as a safe drug, although its administration in large doses can lead to due to known metabolism to impairment of hepatocytes with subsequent necrosis. Acetaminophen is metabolized primarily in the liver where it is converted to inactive compound by conjugation with sulphate or glucoronide. However a small proportion is metabolized by hepatic cytochrome P450 enzymes to a minor but toxic intermediate metabolite N-acetyl-p- benzoquinone imine (NAPQI). This metabolite binds with the macromolecules of the hepatic cells causing dysfunction of the enzymatic systems, structural and metabolic disarray and eventually necrotic cell death. This thesis is a part of larger work intended for preparation polyclonal antibodies which can be used for further research in vivo / in vitro. The objectives of this study are a) the confirmation that NAPQI is the toxic intermediate that can react with free thiol groups and b) the in vitro production of the formed NAPQI-peptide conjugate. Using dexamethasone-induced rat liver microsomal fraction led to the expected production of NAPQI, that was linked on a synthetic peptide containing free thiol group. This adduct was collected and purified by HPLC with gradient elution. The outcome of this...

Semantic and pragmatic aspects of the prosodic component of the message in simultaneous interpretation
Marešová, Julie ; Sládková, Miroslava (referee) ; Čeňková, Ivana (advisor)
Julie Marešová, Semantic and Pragmatic Aspects of the Prosodic Component of the Message in Simultaneous Interpreting, Institute of Translation Studies, Faculty of Arts and Philosophy, Charles University, Prague, 2009 The thesis focuses on the prosodic component of the message in SI from the point of view of the speech listener, the interpreter and the interpretation listener. First we described the general function of prosody and its role in SI. We mentioned Gile's Effort model which is closely related to the prosody of source speech. We also considered the interpretation quality assessment from the point of view of the final client. The empirical part is focused on the way the prosodic character of the source speech influences the interpreter's work and whether the same influence can be seen in the client's assessment of the interpretation. Using computer analysis (computer programme PRAAT) and retrospective questionnaires we have found out that the interpreters are completely aware of the source speech prosody. If the prosody is unnatural or inadequate it raises the demands on concentration and understanding and makes interpretation more difficult. We did not confirm the hypothesis that source speech prosody is reflected during SI in the same way. There was a large diversity in the assessments by the...
