"Good" and "bad" relationships at a workplace: A Study of a Czech firm

This thesis deals with interpersonal relationships at a workplace. Its aim is to analyze the interrelationships of the selected company and map out subjective interpretations in the terms of employee relations. For these purposes the author uses interviewing techniques through interviews and observations, and based on their findings, she draws conclusions relating to both horizontal and vertical level relationships in the organization. The author formulates a positive and negative form of relationship through testimonies of respondents. She finds the differences between people preferring formal or informal dimension of the employment relationship, and at the same time she reveals several kinds of different strategies that people use in an effort of harmonious getting on at the workplace, both in the terms of prevention of bad relations and in connection with the intervention and the solution of the situation that has been problematic. The results show how "good" and "bad" relationships at the workplace are perceived through the eyes of respondents, nevertheless what is not confirmed, is the presumption that the negative form of relations will be most often represented by mobbing or sexual harassment at the workplace. The theoretical part explains the concepts related to motivation, and remuneration of employees in the company. In analysis part is describe current status with his shortcomings. Motivation systém goals is finding the best ways to improve business operations. In design part will address how to resolve systems for finding new opportunities for employees, a contribution to transport to work, gift vouchers, a free last working day and health benefits.

The main aim of this Bachelor's thesis is to evaluate the current motivation system of the selected company, especially in the areas of motivation and rewarding its employees. The important part of this thesis is to suggest some changes in order to make the working process more effective and to keep employees satisfied, motivated and able to get high-quality results. In the theoretical part, I focus on a theoretical background and findings that are necessary to understand the issue.

Motivation and stimulation of employees in chosen company

This thesis focuses on the exploration and analysis of the current state of motivation and stimulation of employees in an organization. Based on the determined level of their motivation and stimulation, particular corrective measures were proposed to increase the employees´ motivation, loyalty to their employer as well as their overall satisfaction with working life. The first stage comprised a review of professional literature, both domestic and foreign, and studies dealing with motivation and stimulation. Using appropriate research methods, the current state of motivation and stimulation of employees in the given organization was analysed. Based on the information gathered from questionnaires and unstructured interviews, the corrective measures were proposed. They could help effectively increase motivation of the employees and strengthen their relationship with the organization.

3 The bachelor thesis Trends in working conditions is focused on current tendencies in the area of working conditions, especially on the trend of democratization in organizations. The thesis analyzes this phenomenon, because it has not been described in association with working conditions enough. The main goal is to ascertain the reasons of growth of this phenomenon, its essence and the way it is realized. The reasons and the context of the formation and the growth are desribed according to surveys in a field of working satisfaction and can be also found in theories of working motivation. The essence is explained according to the authorities in this field. The emphasis is on the relationship between democratization in organizations and the working conditions. Every aspect of working conditions is described in detail, especially focused on the trends of democratization. The analysis is based on the examples of realization in real organizations. These examples can be found in whole thesis, related to the currently discussed topics. In general, the thesis strives for widening of existing knowledge with complex analysis of relationship between democratization in organizations and the working conditions. Assessment of Employees of a Municipality with Extended Competence as a Way to Increase Motivation

The present thesis addresses the issue of assessment of employees in an organization in the public administration. Assessment of employees is a key motivation factor in human resources management, and it is one of the tools to achieve the employees' productivity. At the same time the assessment helps increase the prestige of the authority and satisfaction of the citizens. The aim of the present thesis is to analyze the current state of the system of assessment in an organization in the public administration, to look for deficiencies in the system as they influence the motivation of employees, and to propose changes for improvement. The first part of the thesis presents the theoretical framework of performance management, the theory of work motivation, assessment, and the remuneration of employees. In the practical part of the thesis the municipal office in question is introduced, and the current situation of the employees assessment system is analyzed. This part also includes the results of the realized questionnaire. The final part brings recommendations which can help the organization to increase the efficiency of the employees assessment.
