Employee motivation and remuneration from the perspective of tax regulations

The bachelor thesis deals with the motivation and remuneration of employees through benefits from the perspective of tax regulations. First, based on a literature search in the context of the Czech legislation, it defines the theoretical requirements of individual benefits. Using personal interviews and subsequent analysis, it addresses how to choose an appropriate remuneration system in a company with a higher level of employee turnover. Finally, two proposals reflecting requirements of employees and management of the company are set out.
Proposal of Changes in the Concept of Work-life Balance in a Selected Company

The bachelor's thesis focuses on the issue of work-life balance, or the reconciliation of work and personal life in a selected company. The goal of the work is focused on the analysis of the current state in the area of work-life balance and the subsequent proposal of such a change, the implementation of which will harmonize the work and personal life of employees. To achieve the goal, it was necessary to achieve sub-goals, which divide the work into three parts – theoretical, analytical and design part. The theoretical part examines the characteristics of the problem associated with the subject of the bachelor's thesis on the basis of the available literature. Basic concepts of work-life balance, reconciliation tools, flexible forms of work, consequences of poor reconciliation, motivation and remuneration are defined here. The analytical part describes the current situation of the company, which was analyzed using the methods of questionnaire survey and analysis of the obtained data. The purpose of the questionnaire survey was to find out employees' satisfaction with their work-life balance and consisted of thirty-three questions. The results of the questionnaire showed that more than half of the employees think that they properly balance their work life with their personal life. The design part contains the developed recommendations and the estimated costs needed to apply these designs in one year. Among these proposals, I have included new alternative forms of work, seminars for management and employees, new forms of motivation, etc., which should lead to an improvement of the concept of work-life balance in the company.

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá konceptem sebeřízeného učení a jeho klíčovými složkami. Úvodní kapitoly začínají krátkými historickými milníky a poté se věnují významným teoriím, které utvářely koncept sebeřízeného učení. Poté je vysvětlen význam sebeevaluace pro rozvoj dovedností, následovaný velkým vlivem, který mají učitelé na sebevzdělávání, se zaměřením na teoretický model SSDL. Motivace, jakožto klíčový prvek, je popsána s důrazem na „self-determination theory“, přičemž teorie rozlišuje dva typy motivace, což vede k závěrečné podkapitole, která se zaměřuje na různé faktory ovlivňující motivaci. Aspekty zkoumané v této práci by mohly rozšířit povědomí o tomto důležitém konceptu a významu jeho širokého uplatnění.

Proposal of a motivational system for a student team

Student teams are very beneficial for gaining practical experience and making contacts while studying. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to propose a motivational system for the student team strojLAB, which has not yet had this system in place. In the first part of the thesis, theoretical research of important topics related to the subject is discussed. In the second part, an analysis of the current state of the student team is conducted by interviewing the management and directing a questionnaire survey for all current and former team members. This is followed by the proposal part, where recommendations for the development of a motivational system are brought out and based on analytic part. All the suggestions have been presented to the management and will be implemented gradually.

This should lead to a better understandment of the topic. The second part is devoted to the introduction of the company, description of the current state of the remuneration and motivation system, as well as data collection using a questionnaire survey. In the last part, the results are evaluated and recommendations for the company are constructed.

The thesis contains some of my suggestions of how to improve the offer of employee benefits, which is associated with the optimization of the company´s costs.

The aim is to present proposals and address deficiencies that will lead to increased employee motivation and their retention within the company. The theoretical part of the thesis defines key concepts that will be utilised in subsequent sections. The practical part includes an introduction to the selected company and focusses on the current incentive system of benefits and overall employee satisfaction. Quantitative research will lead to establishing proposals and measures related to establishing an appropriate reward system, boosting employee motivation and satisfaction.
