Inclusive education from the perspective of teachers in selected schools in the Czech Republic

The bachelor thesis has a theoretical-empirical character. The goal of the theoretical part is to describe the priciples of the inclusive education, the attitudes and the opinions of the international experts in inclusive education, then to describe the profession of teacher, his or her way of thinking about the matter and his or her professional competecies, finally to describe the disabled pupil and the compensation measures that are a part of inclusive education. The theoretical part is devised to three chapters. The firs one is called The Principles of Inclusive Education and it is composed of two subchapters: The Explanation of the Notions Inclusion and Integration and The Views of Experts on Inclusive Education. The second one is called The Teacher and it is devised to three subchapters: The Profession of Teacher and its Problematics, The Pedagogical Thinking of Teacher and The Competencies of Teacher in Inclusive Education. The third chapter The Disabled Pupil and his or her Compensation Measures within the Institutions is devised into seven following subchapters: The Disabled Pupils, The Announcement about the Numbre of Pupils in the Classroom, The pedagogical-psychological consultation, The Centre of Special Education, The School Consulting Centre, The Individual Education Plan and The Pedagogical Assistante. The goal of the empirical part is to find out the opinions about inclusive educatin of asked teachers of primary school. We used a qualitative researche with 11 researche questions. The respondents answered on prepared questions in semi-structured interview. The interviews was realized individually with eight teachers of some primary schools in Czech Republic. We asked on 34 questions. All the answers were transcribed, analysed and evaluated. The empirical part includes the methodology of the research, characteristics of respondents and chapters conluding the answers on the research questions.
Initial Education Of Early Years Teachers And The Profession's Needs

The thesis deals with undergraduate training of kindergarten teachers. The aim is to compare the issue of preparation for the profession of kindergarten teacher from different perspectives in historical and international comparisons and reflect and analyze the needs of the profession towards initial training kindergarten teachers on the basis of theoretical concepts and statements from practice. The reaserch aims to analyze the curriculum of initial training kindergarten teachers at selected faculties of education in the Czech Republic, analyze and reflect on meeting the needs of the profession in these faculties and learn how to evaluate their students' level of development of their professional competence at the beginning of undergraduate training and at the end. Research design is a multi-case study. Working with reaserch respondents has a longitudinal character. Methods were used quantitative and qualitative methodology - questionnaire, rating scales, content analysis of documents, interview and focus group. Key memories of teacher profession students for their primary school

This thesis deals with the concept of teaching for students teaching in primary schools. Students who begin studying and are influenced by subjective experiences from the days when they were themselves pupils in primary school. Objective of this research is the context characterized by the testimony of students. Determine whether they have a tendency to imitating patterns from elementary school, or avoid mistakes that they saw in them. The theoretical part is intertwined with the research. Testimonies of students are supplemented by findings from the literature. One section is devoted to defining the long-term memory and one part belongs to two terms. Stress and evaluation, they often repeat, thus have increased influence on memories. Thesis also describes how the student teacher is ready for the beginning of his career and with it related requirements, which must be fulfilled for graduation. In the second part, the focus shifts to the teaching styles of teachers and recommendation, which the teacher should follow. Research together with the support of the literature shows that teacher has a great influence on pupils.
Mapping professional path of chemistry-teacher training graduates at the Faculty of Education

The thesis topic: Mapping professional path of chemistry-teacher training graduates at the Faculty of Education Abstract: This thesis is analysing current carreers of former chemistry students (absolvents) at the Charles University of Prague, Faculty of Education. The theoretical part is focused on topics such as pedagogic proffesion, pedagogic research, research methods and briefly also to study "Absolvents of the Charles University". The practical part constitutes the research itself. There were 78 graduates of the faculty asked for completion of a questionnaire that was created. The evaluation was performed on the basis of gathered data. After comparing with other, but very similar researches, it was found that research results are almost similar and generally corresponds with current trends. The aim of this study was to look up and get in touch with as many as possible faculty graduates and learn more about their careers. For example, if it was hard to find the corresponding employment in education sphere after their graduation, whether they even teach or how - after practical experience - do they contemplate the teaching profession. Video as a Tool for Increasing Motivation and Developing Student's Skills in Didactics of Biology

This master's thesis refers to the use of video as a teaching tool in the subject Didactics of Biology. It comprises two parts, one theoretical and another practical. The theoretical part charts the didactical and practical subjects taught at the Faculty of Education, Charles University in Prague, and deals with the use of video for the professional development of teachers. For the practical part, 8 lesson observation videos were recorded and placed on a newly created website (www.didaktikabiologievidea.cz). The observation videos were submitted to an analysis based on the 3A method and were used afterwards during the courses on Didactics of Biology. A questionnaire was carried out among the students of the teaching profession to evaluate the benefits of the videos for them. The questionnaire surveyed the motivation for studying Didactics of Biology, as well as the impact that these observation videos had on the performance of the teaching profession and the improvement of the teaching abilities. Growth of teachers and the participation of management in art schools (related to the curricular reform)

The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the teaching profession in primary schools of art in the 21st century in the context of curricular reform. It addresses not only the readiness of teachers to changes that the curriculum documents bring, but at the same time solves position management (role of directors) in this process. Concretizes the development of the teaching profession from the perspective of management in art schools. The research part of the thesis analyzes the selected documents school curricula, defines the content development for teachers through the training of teachers and emerging approaches of directors in this process. Dissertation will complete the topic by the recommendations of advanced training teachers for the management of teachers in art schools. Teachers: burnout syndrom versus engagement and professional enthusiasm

The thesis is dealing with the problematics of burnout syndrome and engagement in teaching profession in different types of schools and grades. Its objective is to detect the degree of burnout in a selected sample of teachers and map the main determinants of contentment related to engaged teachers. The theoretical part defines the concept of burnout syndrome, its development, progress, signs, causes and diagnostics. It clarifies the development of burnout in teaching profession. Furthermore, it describes the key characteristics of engagement, the diagnostic methods and the relationship between teaching and engagement. The empiric part has two goals: to find out the degree of burnout in teachers and depict the essential factors which contribute to their engagement. The research was based on questionnaires and interviews and answered the research questions. The results are presented in tables and graphs. In conclusion, there are some suggestions how to lower the risk of genesis and growth of burnout syndrome. Problems of teaching profession: teacher in France and i the Czech Republic

Despite big psychological and physical difficulty the profession is underestimated, prestige and salaries of teachers are low. One of the goals of the thesis is to show that the teaching profession isn't that easy as the public believes and to present its principal problems. The dissertation touches themes like prestige and authority of the teacher, teachers' health and stress at school or trainee teachers' problems. Theme of the teaching profession generally is completed by actual numbers and data reflecting status of the teacher and education system in the Czech Republic, in France and in other European countries. So another goal of the thesis is to compare these numbers and to find advantages and disadvantages of systems which influence status of the teacher and to outline possible ways to their improvement. TITLE The Burnout Syndrome in Teachers' Work ABSTRACT The burnout syndrome represents a serious problem affecting the quality of the life of the stricken persons as well as their efficiency. The notion burnout is defined here. This bachelor thesis specifies the main theoretical sources of burnout, the evolution and the formation of its characteristics. It brings the summary of the circumstances which can facilitate or limit the origin and development of burnout. The burnout syndrome affects members of helping professions mainly. The concept of the helping professions is defined here. The teaching profession is one of the helping professions. The teaching profession is one of the demanding professions. There are the various influences disturbing the work of teachers which affect the overall personal performance and professional satisfaction.
