Funeral Rites: Liturgical Texts and Priestly Practice

Every culture encompasses funeral rites. These funeral rites are influenced by modern society, but primarily are determined by cultural elements and customs of previous generations. This also applies for Christian funerals, which builds on the rich tradition of the Church, draws from the deposit of faith all the while maintains a careful approach to the unique customs of every culture. The purpose of the thesis: Order of Christian Funerals: liturgical texts and the practise of the priests is to analyse the practise of the catholic priests while leading a funeral service and to compare the actual state with general instructions of the liturgical book Order of Christian Funerals. The reader will firstly be introduced into the history of Christian funerals till today's practise after the Second Vatican Council. The thesis will then continue with detailed presentation of the Czech editions of the liturgical book Order of Christian Funerals. In the following part I will present the method of conducted interviews, and then will introduce the respondents. Implementation of Ethic Education as a Supplementary Educational Subject at primary school

This PhD thesis describes the ways of implementing the supplementary educational subject of ethics education into the educational system in Czech society. The primary focus is on the teaching of prosocial behaviour at primary school. In the theoretical part of the thesis, the redudant repeating background of the PhD thesis topic was collected. Prosocial behaviour was defined as positive social behaviour with active participation in solving a specific life situation, where helping others is not connected with the expectation of reward. The presented methods of socialization of pupils were divided into directive and recommended non-directive methods promoting a positive classroom climate. Characteristics of moral growth in younger school-age students were viewed from several criteria. The concept of ethical education in curriculum documents in the Czech Republic and abroad was characterized. The empirical part describes qualitative research with a case study design. Data collection was carried out by direct observation, semi-structured interviews and analysis of school artefacts. Pupil's Assesment in Biology

The thesis is focused on formative assessment in biology, specifically it describes its use in biology teaching. The aim of the thesis is to discuss formative assessment, its strategies, methods and processes that can be used in biology classes. The theoretical part defines school assessment. The topic of formative assessment is presented in the context of the types and roles of school assessment and also biology teaching. The empirical part, using the qualitative design of the multi-case study, builds on the data obtained by the in-depth interviews with two teachers. The aim of the research was to describe the way teachers assess students in biology classes and their attitude and knowledge about formative assessment. The two case studies illustrate how teachers perceive formative assessment as one of the possible ways to collect evidence about the knowledge of their students. The author asked about grading and its importance for the teachers. She was also interested in the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on teaching and assessment. The research showed that various strategies and methods of formative assessment are appropriate for biology teaching. The diploma thesis deals with the analysis of the motivation and system of remuneration of employees in the selected company. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the issues of motivation, remuneration and employee satisfaction. The analytical part follows, which takes place in the form of semi-structured interviews with the company's employees. After evaluating the results of the interviews, measures are proposed to change the remuneration system and thus increase employee satisfaction in the company.
