Influence of the school environment for developing eating disorders gaze of ex-patient of Havlíčkobrodsko

This diploma thesis deals with eating disorders, their causes and displays. It is based on the assumption that former patients are able to assess what was the main cause of their problems. The theoretical part defines particular eating disorders, their history, risk factors of their emergence, diagnosis, epidemiology and health complications accompanying this diseases. The practical part focuses on obtaining information by friendly interview with open questions. The qualitative research includes case studies of six women, four of them are over the age of 20 years and two of them over the age of 40 years. The main objective was to discover how they were affected by the school environment in relation to her own body and what attitude do they have to the prospective prevention programs at our schools. The part with recommendations tries to enlarge already existing prevention programs at schools. There are some proposals for cooperation between schools and professional institutions, workshops with patients and some suggestions to lessons of Health education. Further there are mentioned some projects focused on interpersonal relationships and healthy lifestyle. Finally, there are some suggestions focused on education of teachers and parents of students in the prevention of ED.
Gender in compulsory reading - Old greek myths and legends: gender analysis of the writing

This thesis Gender in compulsory reading - Old Greek Myths and Legends: Gender analysis of the writing deals with literary representation of gender issues in mentioned writing, written by Eduard Petiška. The very analysis is based on analysing of gender topics and issues we are interested in and focused on. These topics are compared and showed using examples from particular myths and legend. The question whether these topics are influenced by patriarchal order in the society is the crucial for this thesis. Despite the variability of Petiška's writing, which is necessarily caused by variations of ancient and continuously construated stories; some patterns and systems are there to be found and explored by contemporary gender theories, mostly by feministic literature criticism. In this thesis the method of resisting reading according to Judith Fetterley is used. The deconstruction of the text and its hidden values which are based on male domination and the reconstruction of it in order to show the new perspective at the same moment are the main goals of resisting reading. The aim of this thesis The comparison of the ancient-art and ancient-philosophy views of the man in the world is to discuss ancient man's featuring in the world, both from the philosophical and artistic point of view. The following chapters, comparing both creative activities, deal with the most important topics closely related to the perception of the ancient man and his world. In particular, the thesis focuses on the relation to the divine and the concept of the ideal beauty. This work's goal is to state, by comparing philosophy and visual arts, whether philosophical thinking has always corresponded with visual arts; and how much they have influenced each other. Martina Greňová: Ženské intimní normy krásy. Depilace a úprava tělesného porostu na příkladu českých žen. FF UK 2011 The author searches for reasons for the body hair removal and its modifications. As the base she uses an analyse of the media and literature and her research among Czech women. The paper emanates, that certain subjects try to define norms of body hair removal. These norms are presented in medical and cosmetical literature, in magazines, internet articles, films, adverts, in the language and in the folklore. Accordingly the normative subjects are doctores, cosmeticians, editors and authors of magazines, participants of internet discussions, film makers and producers of cosmetic products. Nevertheles women participate on the creation of norms too. The author postulates some attitudes, how the hair removal is perceived and presented: as hygienical and medical, as dichotomy of human and animal (nature vs. culture), as dichotomy of feminity and masculinity, as an attribute of maturity, as an esthetic aspect. Most of the women remove hair from their bodies. Young women "shave" more , but the difference between the generations is not that big. Yet a vast difference exists between the age of todays teenagers when they started removing (on an averge of 12 years) and the older generations (at 24 years)...
Gender analysis of the of female heroines in computer games

This work focuses on a gender analysis of female characters in video games, specifically the action genre of computer games in which players play from the perspective of a third party (ie see a playable character on canvas). Pays attention to very specific situations in which the female figure is markedly ambivalent status - show clearly feminine characteristics, it moves but clearly masculine space and pay the archetypal clearly masculine activities. Working with so anlýzou konrkétních computer games and playable characters trying to determine whether computer games as a new medium for his portrayal of female characters contribute to gender stereotypes and whether, therefore, become another medium, that these stereotypes produces and reproduces that deconstructs these stereotypes and changing, or whether it even creates new stereotypes. The analysis is the analysis itself as a representation of female characters in visual, narrative or folder of computer games and interactive component analysis itself - that is playing. In this sense, the work seeks to determine how the female characters look if they present archetypal feminine or masculine characteristics and what pleasure playing them can offer both male and female players. The work entitled "Metaphysical stories" relates to the personal perception and experience of the outside world and oneself, as well as to the perception of painting and picture. The concept of metaphyisics is borrowed from philosophy precisely for its thematization of human existence. The narrative presents a stream of expressions intended for sharing, communication, entertainment and learning. The bachelor thesis consists of a series of oil paintings on canvas. These are abstract paintings in which I examine the shape, color and subject matter of the painting. Imaginative scenes devoid of figures and perspectives. The aim is to open up as much space as possible to unlimited expression.
Beauty from the Perspective of Plastic Surgery

Social conditions under which cosmetic surgery are carried out in such quantity and popularity are defined and explored. Paper also contains a summary of patients' opinions about cosmetic surgery and explains the way they think of the role of beauty in their lives. The attention is focused on motives by which are patients of cosmetic surgery led to undergone such intervetion to human body as the cosmetic surgery. Paper aims to propose a rational explanation of what leads them to a cosmetic surgery even though there is a high risk of health damage and an unclear result. The first part deals with the new economy, consumerism and celebrity culture as the main factors, claimed by the literature, that influence decisions about undergoing cosmetic surgery. The Law and Art - Symbolism, Aesthetics, Architecture Abstract The Law and Art can be considered as a field of legal science or as a part of the theory of law, which is beginning to enjoy the interest of lawyers and legal scientists and theoreticians. However, this is not an area of law dealing with the Art Law. The Art Law focuses more on intellectual property law and the application of law in the world of art and artists. This thesis analyzes the theoretical question of whether the law can be understood as a distinct artistic discipline. So called beautiful art. This question also is the main hypothesis of this thesis. The thesis consists of five backbone chapters, in which the author, with the help of partial hypotheses and submitting as much information as possible, seeks to defend or refute the main hypothesis. As a by-product of the research done, the author also introduces a new term "The Art of Law". The Art of Law is supposed to represent possible ways and (the) ways of the connections of particular beautiful and applied arts with the law as a field of human activity.
